The Marine Tavern in Teignbridge

Excellent real ale Unfortunately closed until the new year I believe.

It was an odd experience as they said that the only food left was crab sandwiches, so I ordered one and was then waiting for two friends to arrive. They then ordered different food with no issues at all. Very strange, apart from that I really liked the place and it is in a nice location.

Keep coming back,welcoming&nice staff.Dog friendly! Lovely 'snug'but would advise refresh of paintwork&clean upholstery, make such a difference & little cost. Plymouth visitors.

Location is wonderful overlooking the sea especially on the balcony in the evening but the inside is nice too. The pizzas are delicious and sizeable and aside from the price of the drinks (about a tenner for a glass of wine and a pint of cider) this gets my recommendation

I’m struggling to recall a pub as welcoming as this place. Really nice inside the pub with different seating areas. The views from the balcony are great too. I had 2 Under 18s with me and they were welcomed in the Evening in the Family section. Highly recommended!

Nice drinks and seating on balcony. The live music in the bar was cool but was so loud that unable to hear barmaid.

A nice pint of Guinness. Very limited food option. If you do decide to have food and take it outside, beware of aggressive thieving seagulls!

We always stay for a pint here when we are in Dawlish. Lovely friendly atmosphere and you can watch the trains go by from the terrace!

Just popped in for a quick drink after a performance at Dawlish Methodist Church, while waiting for the bus back.

A very friendly place to visit, comfortable room and a really good breakfast in the morning.

Everytime I've been to the Marine tavern it's been a great atmosphere, great people. Very friendly. And the bar staff are second to none x😊

Lovely, local pub on the seafront of Dawlish, unfortunately sea views restricted by a Concrete Wall known as the promenade and sea Defence wall,which is supposed to protect the town as well as the main Railway line from the raising sea levels!Hope it works?

This was our favourite place for an evening drink in Dawlish while on holiday. With warm temperatures we sat on the balcony watching the trains and people walking along the coastal path. The pub is tucked away near the town centre in a quiet location. They serve pizzas but were not doing so on the night we tried to order food but told us we could get our own takeaway and eat it there. Very friendly staff.

No food available so allowed to visit Frank's Frys and take fish and chips into pub. Decent beer and good food combo. Ideal.

Sparse choice of ales, but the one I had was spot on, seems like a locals pub with a friendly atmosphere.

Just popped in for a pint whilst out for a walk. Real ale from Dartmoor brewery. Pleasant surroundings and good location by the sea wall.

Toilets a bit wiffy, but some well kept real ales and a good location on the front.

Very welcoming and, at the time, nice and quiet. A proper pub with outdoor tables too.

My wife and I just popped in for a quick drink, but we stayed there for five hours. It was the best drink of Guinness in Dawlish. Next time down there we will definitely go there first.

What a place to enjoy a drink and watch the trains passing,young man on the bar very friendly and helpful,the owner was a very friendly gentleman.will definitely visit next time we are in Dawlish.

Spent a pleasant hour or so sat on the balcony overlooking the sea, watching the trains go by while we ate fish and chips with our Guinness

Seafront place, hot reasonably priced pizzas and jacket potatoes in a pub setting. Very friendly helpful team. Would give it a 4.5 if I could, food options a little limited and no pub classics.

Nothing to complain about. Clean inside and friendly service. My filter coffee was if good quality, and we were allowed to eat our fish and chips takeaway inside (cutlery provided), as no food was being served. Well worth the visit.

Went here yesterday (26.10.21) for a drink with the wife. Guinness poured great. Good selection of drinks. Not extortionate prices as you would get normally. Lovely atmosphere. Typical "old sea dog" atmospheric pub. Delightful!!!

Great pub, nice friendly staff fantastic balcony overlooking the sea. We had a lovely couple of hours there last Friday, when you're up on the balcony the views are brilliant and can get a sheltered spot from the wind and enjoy outdoor drinking at its best. Highly recommend.

Love this bar. Go inside to discover an excellent Bar and friendly servers which belies the outside appearance. Sit outside and enjoy the GWR trains rushing by.

Lovely bar with friendly staff and an outside balcony area to sit and have a drink not so quiet though due to regular trains passing just on other side of the road but this can be avoided by just sitting inside the tavern would recomend i personaly like this bar but people looking for a quiet drink may like to go else where.
