Great pint of Guinness but couldn't eat there as the kitchen was closed due to circumstances.

Staff very friendly and welcoming. The pub has signs outside advertising food and a menu board on the wall inside with lots of lovely dishes, and other food offers on the beams. We chose what we wanted and went to order, only to be told, they're not serving food until April. We were very disappointed, why don't you put signs up telling people no food until April. It gets you in there under false pretenses.

I went here with my Partner the food served was awful and when complained about it was taken to be replaced and same meals brought back to us staff were rude and unfriendly and atmosphere of the 2 ppl that were in there was terrible Never again will I visit there

Can honestly say this was the best places I’ve visited for lunch We had Sunday lunch for 5 and it was the best Sunday lunch we’ve ever had and very well priced We have moved to the area and will be using this place on a regular basis!!! 5 star all round thankyou

We went on a Wednesday which is steak only night two steaks and a bottle of wine on offer food was amazing very good value for money

Typical dawlish pub, old style, decent choice of drinks, went in the afternoon, so was quiet, good staff, worth a visit for a pint or three.

Had a sunday dinner and was beautiful a proper home cooked meal. Staff were very friendly and a good price too

I like this pub, it's nothing special but I have always had a good pint and I find it has a some how friendly atmosphere.

Visited tonight food was amazing staff 1st class if we are ever in the area again we will certainly be making a return visit

Fantastic steaks 4 of us had rib eye steak with chips/peas etc all cooked to our own individual requirements and cooked perfectly highly recommend the food, not had a steak of that quality and cooked to perfection for a long time, definitely be returning to eat again. All staff and owner very friendly and helpful keep up the good work guys.

Their is only one thing to say BRILLIANT. Great food and drinks wonderful Landlord will definitely be going back. Would recommend to all 5 Big gold 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Great locals pub just a few minutes walk from the seafront. Friendly landlord and clientele. Everyone welcome and showing sport on the TV's in the bars. They have an excellent choice of up to 3 real ales sourced locally and many other beers, ciders and spirits. Well worth a visit if you're in Dawlish.

Wow wow wow. The best pub ever and the most friendly and welcoming staff and locals! We have been staying in dawlish for a girls weekend and stumbled accross this little gem; and was the best of our 3 nights by far. Thank you so much Jackie and Karen for letting us party and take over the pub. Cornish maids will be back xxx

By far the best pub in Dawlish for Locals and Holidaymakers alike. Huge HD sports screen, fabulous choice of ales, welcoming staff. All the regulars are great, even Browner most of the time!

Don't bother with the rest cos this is the best pub in Dawlish, and probably in Devon!

Fantastic owners, bar staff so helpful, all really nice people The atmosphere is great, it's clean and well looked after. It is friendly, warm and inviting. They do great wines, beers and ales and ... even Make a great cup of tea. So something for everyone all age groups join together.

The name has changed to the Dog House. Good traditional pub.

If I could go -1 I would. Totally shocked at the bar tenders attitude. Husband ordered 1pt of cider he said 2 and refused to change. Language was offensive and when a guy came to ask about the rugby the guy behind the bar (Josh? ) was rude and homophobic and generally offensive. Change your staff or have the pub die!

the rooms were very modern,very clean,the bed was exquisite & the locals downstairs in the bar were a friendly bunch ....a very very nice experience all round !!! 10 out of 10
