Fantastic lunch served off the grill! We visited as a family of 10 over the Easter weekend all of us agreed food was spot on! Very friendly staff too! Will 100% return when in area and highly recommend

A little gloomy towards the back as it goes so deep into the building, but a nice atmosphere. There are three areas - the bar as described, an upstairs seating area with great views of Teignmouth over the estuary, and a covered area on the beach which is right outside the pub just across the road. An outdoors kitchen on the beach part. It was too early in the season (March) for food service when we were there. A pleasant and friendly pub with some local real ales as well as lots of other choice of beverages.

A proper pub & our first stop when heading over to our stays in Teignmouth - good beers, atmosphere & service, a local's pub that's always welcoming.

Absolutely a gem. Made to feel welcome the moment we stepped in. Some of the upholstery could do with a tidy and toilets near a bit of paint but the atmosphere and staff incite you back which is just what happened to us. We came back next day to a brilliant band playing and once again a fantastic warm friendly welcome. Beer and wine excellent too.

Love this place. Such a comfortable vibe and family friendly. Shame they don't offer food all year round or during every holiday period as I'm sure we (and others) would eat there.

Wow - we were brought here by friends for their Sunday night music and had a wonderful time, we'll definitely be returning - standing on the beach whilst drinking a beer really made.our evening.

My go to place for a pint. Lovely sitting out the back on the beach when it's not too busy. Sometimes the entertainment can be a little over bearing.

Great bar staff and a good variety of drinks and you can sit outside and take in the views.

Really friendly place, the craic was grand

Very close to the landing point of the real ferry, and a magnate for tourists. The interior is small a cosy, with a room upstairs that has a great view over the beach. The outside terrace seats opposite the pub are the prized in summer.

The beach bbq was amazing the food was fantastic. Little things like the Little nippers hot dog was cut up ready to cool down for my son. Gluten free options on everything. Beautiful setting and location, run by a local family who couldn’t do enough for us.

Busy on our visit but still had quick service and the food was very good.

A lovely pub in a great location overlooking the beach and river estuary, when we visited there was no food available and very few staff , but still an enjoyable experience.

Kitchen was closed for refurbishment when we visited but we've always had great food here.

Nice Pub, good atmosphere, feels very welcoming. Nice outdoor spot for when it warm but it does get busy! staff are all very nice and accommodating. defiantly feels like a proper British pub on the inside!

A lovely pub situated on Shaldon beach front ,,the actual beer garden is actual on Shaldon Beach looking towards Teingmouth, a beautiful location . Where food is served outside and live music on Sundays. A wide selection of Beers and spirits are served by the friendly hard working staff.

We were just about to cross on the Ferry to Teignmouth for lunch and the heavens opened. We decided to eat at the Ferry Boat. We waited under the shelter of the beer garden and went in when the pub opened its doors. I have to say (controversial I know) I do not like eating out of a box or with wooden cutlery. The burgers were splendid, probably the best burger I have eaten. We had a grown up vegetarian and two child vegetarian's and all were catered for. The gentleman doing the cooking and they lady who delivered out food were very kind and considerate. I will be visiting again before we leave to go home.

Brilliant outdoor area with friendly staff

We came here for afternoon drinks, and sat on the terrace overlooking the beach and Teignmouth ferry. Everything was clean and well organised, the pub was not busy but I got served easily, with good smiling service.

Good beer garden backing on to shaldon beach. Great views across the estuary to Teignmouth and out to sea. Pefect place to enjoy a good pint of Jail Ale.

Lovely position right on the river bit of a steep walk down from the car park but we'll worth it plenty of pub classics on the menu and very interesting specials board all cooked fresh and delicious

I popped in for a drink and possibly a bite to eat. The pub was pretty well empty. A very pleasant, friendly young barmaid served me first. After about half an hour I was served by a brusque, hard as nails woman who very much treated me with outright hostility. I asked a local discreetly who the person was and I was told that she was the owner and "well known for her attitude". I did not bother asking about food, finished my drink and left. No wonder the pub was empty.

Great pub. Outdoor area is right by the beach. Lovely staff, nice atmosphere. Jam nights are popular and they have some good local music acts on.

Lovely traditional pub in a fabulous location overlooking Shaldon Beach on the River Teign estuary. We sat and watched the tide come in one evening with friends. There is also outdoor seating across the road and I understand that food is available from the outdoor grill at weekends when the season starts. Friendly staff, lovely atmosphere.

A lovely traditional village pub by the sea. Great selection of beers and ciders, spirits and snacks. Sit inside in the cosy bar, or outside with views across the River Teign.

Very popular. Not much chance of getting an outdoor table if the sun is out. Great food from the bbq but order early as we had 90 minute wait! Definitely worth a visit.

Great location next to beach on the estuary - seating area outside as well as inside - Warm welcome and very friendly helpful staff - Good choice of ales - highly recommend the 'Jail Ale'. Food served from Friday lunchtime and over the weekend. The Open Seafood Sandwich is to die for! Would recommend this place as my go to first choice. 5*****

A lovely Sunday afternoon in your beer garden over looking the beach and listening to some good live music I the sun. Good selection of beers and ciders. Surf and turf burger, and a veggie burger, both extremely nice. Will be back for more.

Stopped here for a drink whilst visiting Shaldon. Lovely location but appeared rather shabby and unkempt. My assumptions were confirmed when I visited the Ladies. (Not even a flush lever, let alone a working one…..) Won’t be back.
