This is the best place in Shaldon for a coffee either hot, cold or mixed with ice cream. The ice cream selection is great the kids love it, you will always get a warm welcome and we will be back.

We had some fab takeaway coffees but a shame we couldn't sit in! The staff were nice, not entirely chatty but otherwise okay! I'd say a very good coffee spot in Shaldon!

Wouldn’t normally write a review for a takeaway coffee but the flat white this morning was absolutely delicious! Looking forward to another tomorrow.

We always head to Lollie Bean for an ice cream (or two!) whilst in Shaldon. Try their honeycomb ice cream!

Brilliant coffee and lovely products with a delightful owner. We visited every day for the best coffee in Shaldon. There is also a lovely little seating area in the side alleyway.

This is a really friendly cafe serving locally sourced ingredients. The sandwiches we had were made to order and were absolutely delicious. The coffee was also first class and as recommended by a local resident who saw us wavering on the door step. Really worth a visit as the cafe has a relaxed and warm atmosphere

Location + Hospitality + Service + Quality all made for the most memorable experience, while visiting friends in England. Definitely a must for those who pass through the area.Quaint little shop by the sea that offers seating or take out. The coffee/lattes served at lollie bean were the smoothest and creamiest I have ever had, anywhere. I was thrilled to learn that they carried/sold their ground coffee, so we were able to have a little taste of lollie bean, long after returning home to Canada.I had the strawberry ice cream - and it was so fresh - definitely a must try.As good as the coffee/lattes and treats are, the service and hospitality was unparalleled. The owners (Peter and Tammi) make you feel at home - even those who have travelled from across the pond. My partner and I happened to be there over Canada Day weekend. Peter and Tammi, former Torontonians, gave us a true Canadian welcome and helped us celebrate the day. So, whether you are just passing through Shaldon or staying awhile - do stop in to lollie bean. While there, tell them A&A say hello, eh!

Well on a rather dull Friday afternoon, where else could you get a lovely cup of tea, with a lovely atmosphere and the aroma when this lady has baked is just something else. People simply call in you will not be disappointed. See you soon

We’ve just moved from Shaldon to the Cotswolds. Top of the list of things I shall miss is the Lollie Bean. People don’t only visit for the great coffee, cakes and ice cream, but also for the company of owners Peter and Tammi, who bring their unique blend of Canadian/Hungarian/UK influences to the lovely food they serve and customer service. Will be popping in whenever we’re back visiting.

Always a lovely shop to visit. We live locally and are regular customers. A great location, near the village green and just around the corner from the beach.

My usual coffee and cake place appeared to now be a clothes shop so it cheered me up to quickly find a little smart place that served ice cream (was very cold so , sorry can't comment) but had got drinks and cakes .

The perfect spot for breakfast, coffee, lunch or dinner when in Shaldon. Service is superb, food offering has good choice, well cooked, reasonably priced. Absolutely love stopping for a coffee and cake on the terrace area overlooking the river. Can’t wait to go back,

Over priced for what it was. Burnt bacon no sauce on food even tho asked for it on there. Rude service.

We were welcomed by the head bar man, what a gentleman & a legend taking the time to talk to us. We had visited Buckfast Abbey & drove through this quaint little village, parked cheaply in the pay & display & popped into this small village pub. Great little traditional pub, pool table on the right hand side, very clean & throughout. Good selection of beer & ales. We sat in their well tendered gardens. Definitely recommend for a stop off.

There should be a government warning about this pub. You should be warned about how lovely it is. So nice to walk into a pub that's still a pub. It's how a pub should be. We went with friends for the first time last week and we will certainly visit again. Great atmosphere with friendly locals, lovely staff and then the food ‼️ OMG this is what pub food should be like. Fresh, cooked on site and a desperate Dan size portion. I could not recommend this pub any more. It's a proper pub with proper grub. Go you will love it.

Forest Fungi is a great breakfast / brunch spot. The breakfast menu is served until 2 and offers some unusual and delicious options, mushrooms are front and centre as you would expect. They have also introduced a BBQ menu and offer tea and cake in the afternoon. There is a small farm shop on site and a good range of fresh baked goods. The service is friendly and approachable and prices reasonable. The best thing about Forest Fungi is the food, high quality, fresh, tasty and beautifully presented every time. At the weekend it is sensible to book in advance.
