The best restaurants in Taunton Deane South West

Fish flesh was yellow not nice white and fluffy, incredibly tough and smelt off would not recommend.

The food was boasted as the best roast dinner in town. Unfortunately, this is not the case. The food was bland seasoning was missing. The amount of food was way over the top. I can eat a lot, but the lack of season and the amount I called it a day after the starter and the mian. Shame. I was really looking forward to sticking toffee pudding if it was on the menu. It has the potential to do well. But must look at what they are serving up and get the flavour into the food. Season and taste the food. When being led into the dining room, we had a member of staff pushing through us to get out. Didn't find the staff very attentive at all. Price was OK about what I would expect to pay for a meal out.

Lady behind the counter is really friendly and professional. Fuel is exspensive for the area.

I have given this one star but the starter and the main were really nice. But then came the dessert..... one of my party ordered the chocolate caramel tart which when he came he discovered that he was unable to cut the base of the tart even with putting some brute force to try to cut. The reason for the one star review is because we mentioned it to the waitress she apologised and said she would take it off the bill after we declined another dessert. She then returned from the kitchen to say that the chef says that is how it's meant to be the caramel hardens over time (how long had it been sat there) when the bill arrived the tart was still on there...... as my party did not want to make a scene we paid and left.... really disappointing in the end to what started off as a good meal

Amazing place would recommend. I’ve been here a few times now and the food and staff have always been amazing and been able to work around any problems we have had. The atmosphere is always so lovely and it feels very cozy.

2 Celiacs and they couldn’t have been more helpful, we have eaten here a few times now and it’s always the same high standard and we will keep going back

Via JustEat, ordered the most expensive thing on their menu, paid for delivery, asked for delivery in 1.5hrs time, order accepted. An hour later, order cancelled. No attempt at contact. If you don’t want to deliver to where we are, set your delivery parameters properly, otherwise you’re wasting our time as well as yours.

Good Food cafe did not open until 9am and then they were late. The magaer was also very rude and chastised a member of staff in front of customers. Disgraceful

The order was not right , food was horrible, they made us feel like we was a inconvenience being here rude , unhelpful not coming back again

Waited 50 minutes for a delivery only to be told they couldn't find our address and weren't coming! Why couldn't you have asked the delivery driver to call for us to direct him or better yet checked the address before we waited almost an hour! Very poor customer service.

Great pub with a Great Atmosphere

Worst managed place I’ve ever been too, the general manager shoved herself into my friend, blamed my friend Grabbed her by her arms annd shouted in her face and got her kicked out for no reason. We then tried to ask about it and had some foul language thrown at us by the manager. Absolute joke.

Food is OK, nothing to write home about. The delivery service though?! The first order they forgot items, the second (and last order) they forgot us. We called up after waiting an hour and we were informed they'd start cooking it now and were sorry?!

Lovely food and the boss man is friendly and very polite. I go here often and never have any complaints and the food always arrives quickly and on time.
