Great service and fantastic team

Went for a family birthday party table of 8 including 2 children. The lady who served us was very happy and friendly picking up on the fact it was a birthday meal for our 9 year olds birthday. Food was freshly prepped and very tasty. Everyone went away happy.👍

Typical pizza express. Service was good. They have a nice area upstairs for children's parties. The toilets are upstairs too, up a spiral staircase. But there is a toilet for the disabled on ground floor which they are happy for anyone else to use.

Always so amazing here! Such a nice atmosphere with wonderful staff serving. The food is always tasty as well. Will definitely go again!

Great pizza with a warm and friendly team. The new stem ginger cake Dolcetti dessert is amazing.

It was so nice! The waitress Bex took really good care of us. The food was fast and hot and was great with the sides that Bex recommended! Will definitely go back again in the future.

Just come back from a lovely meal here - the food was all great, my husband especially enjoyed his 'roulade'! By far the best part of the evening was the service received from Vicky.....amazing. This is the 2nd time in a row we have been served by Vicky and she is a credit to the company. We will definitely be back. Merry Christmas to you all.

We always receive excellent service here but today was exceptional. The gentleman that served us (I think he was the manager) was personable and went above and beyond to keep us happy. He treated our two children like royalty and commented that they had been well behaved. We all enjoyed our food (as always) and my orange gin was lovely! Thank you so much

I ordered from this Take-away for the first time & i was supposed to receive a 10% off voucher but it didnt arrive. I ordered the 12'' Meatball pizza which is new to their Menu. To be honest i wasnt very impressed..the pizza seemed very lacking in ingredients. In every way. The base was good but i found the pizza uninspiring & i wont be ordering from them again @ £12. Staff in there are super-friendly though.

Great place to lunch with family

This is the best Pizza Express visit we have had. The staff were really friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great time. They topped up our tap water without being asked, checked caffeine content on soft drinks for us, we weren’t rushed, service speed was just right, and the pizzas were the best we’d ever had in 5 years of eating at PE.

My children’s first choice to eat out, they love the food, the staff and the spinny doors! Always a firm favourite in our family! Been coming for years and will continue to do so! Vicky is always so accommodating, kind and knowledgeable, what an incredible asset she is to pizza express

We had an exceptionally good evening for my daughter’s 40th birthday. They seated us in a room upstairs with balloons and birthday banners and took excellent care of us. All ages from 4 to nearly 70 enjoyed well cooked delicious food. The staff were very helpful and friendly making us feel most welcome. We will be back!!

Haven't been to this restaurant for a while for some reason but returned last night as a result of a Taunton Town FC related promotion. The food and service were excellent. I particularly liked the spicy dough balls and the pollo forza romano pizza.

Had a lovely meal at the Taunton Pizza Express. Amazing food and the staff were all very friendly and more than helpful. Special mention to our waiter Ed who was absolutely brilliant, polite and went the extra mile. He is a credit to the restaurant.

Great pizza. Only went as I had a Tesco voucher! £50 for 2 pizza, shared starter ànd a glass of wine each? Cannot afford that very often!

This is by far my favourite pizza here and the one I have just finished was way off. It looked good, but there was no heat. There were no hot red chillis on it, and something wrong with the chilli oil too, that I put on to give it more zing. The chilli oil came is a little jug that contained oil and chilli flakes, but that was it, the oil had not been prepared (heated and cooled to infuse it with the chills) so not knowingly I put plain oil all over my pizza. End result was a bland, no heat pizza Jessica xxx

My wife and I went for lunch on Christmas Eve afternoon and had a fantastic time. We were looked after by Vicky, who was just excellent and made me smile when I ordered, as she remembered that I like the Neptune pizza and was waiting for me to ask for it. That’s great service and a person who takes notice of the customers who visit, and remember them, no matter how many times they come in. The food and drinks were great today, alongside great service. Well done Vicky and thank you to the whole team for making our experience FANTASTIC.

Tempted away from my usual by Cheesy Dow balls for a starter and Carbonara for main, Yum will do that again! Lots of new dishes and some of the old favourites, if you haven't been for a while you need to check it out. We have been using this place for the last 20 years and it has always been constantly good value with tasty food and really helpful staff, some of whom have been there for the duration.

Pizzas was good, nice crisp crust. Good section of interesting drinks. I had non alcoholic lager which had a good taste. Excellent coffee to finish. Nice salad section, which a fellow diner had.

This is my first review and I gotta say very impressed I went with my family for my younger brother's birthday. We had a wonderful time the food was amazing and the customer service was excellent. We would like to say thank you to all the staff that made our night. Especially Ben and Ed who were our waiters for the night. Ben really was amazing he gave us a good amount of time to think about our order and was honestly just a nice guy. There was a slight technical issue with the order on the phone but this was clearly a rare situation and out of Ben's control. in this situation Ben was clear and apologised and kept us up to date on what was going on which we was very thankful for. This technical issue was sorted quickly thanks to Ben :) Ed was also amazing and we was all impressed by his professionalism and how he was just a nice guy :) We found out is was Ed's first shift today! We think you did great Ed :D Overall nice place and a good team food arrived quickly and was well presented but was also really good quality food. The team did all this at a busy time too as I believe there was a event in Taunton today. So yeah nice one guys very impressed 👏

I had 2 takeaways from pizza express and both times been amazing.Nice and hot and cooked to perfection.I needed to change my order and Tom the manager was so keen to assist me 8n my needs, MANY thanks will def be ordering again as you cant guarantee many things in life but can guarantee a great meal and service from pizza express

Absolutely fantastic experience! The team made our visit so unique. Our food was perfect and service fantastic. We started with the Doppio to share and ordered a Padana and BBQ burnt ends. The prices may have increased since our last visit in April but over all will definitely be returning. Shame the have stopped doing the salted caramel cheesecake but the berry cheesecake was also delightful. Next time we book we will definitely be bringing my family along.

It may have been my 56th Birthday celebration, but this experience was made all the better for some great service and care with our grandkids ! A lovely set of dishes in the standard you would expect… and make sure you use the app… saved us over £22 on the final bill.. great experience for a family meal - thank you to all the staff on duty today.

Usually very good but disappointed to wait more than half an hour for dough balls. The olives and tomatoes took even longer. Appetisers should really be served with the drinks or what's the point? Pizza arrived after 50 minutes and it's very good. Higher staff are very good and it was peak rush hour so I can appreciate that things were busy. Won't order appetisers again as they are not served correctly.

We had a brilliant meal here, great service and food. The childrens menu is such good value. Only one very minor point, the edge of my pizza was slightly burned, but it was still delicious and the dessert was delicious! Look forward to coming back.

Room for hire for buisness meetings

We took a big birthday group of teenagers to Pizza Express Taunton this afternoon. The staff were all absolutely lovely; friendly, cheerful and helpful, they really looked after us. Our food arrived quickly and was delicious. We really appreciated them lighting the candles and bringing the cakes over with side plates and a cake knife as well. We felt very well looked after, thank you!

First time here for ages & really friendly young staff. Enough customers to feel that bit of a buzz, but in no way crowded or noisy & quick, efficient service. As a coeliac it was a joy to actually have a choice for each course, not just the main pizza. Slow roasted tomatoes made a nice change from the usual olives; the pizza was a little small on the GF base, which is thin & quite crisp, but loads of very good toppings (I had a Padana) & lots of the others looked tempting too. My 'normal' husband said his Romana pizza was excellent & his sweet. What was totally luxurious was the wide choice of sweets - all the gelatos & sorbets plus chocolate brownies & 3 mini-sweets with a coffee included; the fig one was lovely. We used Tesco vouchers, but the prices were competitive anyway compared with the other Italian chains we use. Will definitely return.

Unfortunately it was a series of mix ups (wrong order, missed meal) which we ate at different times. Were told something would be removed from bill and it wasn't. Paying with vouchers so didn't make any difference so left disappointed.

Visited Pizza Express Taunton this evening, extremely impressed. We were made to feel we were no trouble at all, despite a couple of us having food allergies. Vicky in particular was very helpful. Highly recommend a visit.
