We had a great meal here, great service and good price

A lovely evening with wonderful service and delicious food! We came here for my mum's birthday and the team really made it special for her. Not only did all the waiting staff wish her happy birthday they also sang for her and presented her dessert with a candle in! We didn't ask them to do it I just mentioned it in my booking so it's so lovely of them and really made a huge difference. The food was delicious, the Tiramisu was honestly the BEST I've ever had. Great atmosphere and really encouraging to see it so busy on a Tuesday evening in January! A really great restaurant, highly recommend.

This was my first visit to the restaurant and I must say that I was blown away. Fantastically polite, friendly service, great vibe, not rushed and felt very relaxed. Food was incredible, met more than my needs, but I do wish I had tried a different dessert (although it was good). Thank you for this experience and I will be returning.

Venezia is hands down the best Italian restaurant in Taunton. The staff are consistently warm, welcoming, and attentive, making every visit a delight. The food is absolutely fantastic—I highly recommend starting with the cheesy garlic bread; it’s always a hit with everyone at the table. While the restaurant is on the smaller side, it has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that adds to its charm. Just be aware that it can get busy, so it’s a good idea to book ahead to ensure you get a table. Overall, a wonderful dining experience every time!

Massive portions of delicious italian food, served by a friendly staff. Savoury starters, creamy pasta, juicy meats and artisan deserts! We will be coming back for sure

7 of us spent Xmas day with the team at Venezia. It was outstanding, great atmosphere, no mistakes with our order, no delay in anyone’s food arriving, tasty, tasty hot food, big portions and all served with a smile…

The service was great ,food was decent but the space is so tiny,with a bigger table it will be very crowded in rest the boys in there where good as gold,maybe the ownership can do something about those tables,and the arrangement ! The front of the house has 2-3 tables as you go in,if 2 of them are full you can barely pass there anymore,maybe ease the place a bit for some breathing space.

Great little restaurant. We had amazing pizzas and calezone. My husband really enjoyed the pancetta risotto. Coke and Fanta comes in little glass bottles which the kids love. We fed 6 kids and 2 adults with drinks for just over £100. Excellent food, clean restaurant and great service. Thanks

Went for lunch recently as a small group, very efficient waiter . We sat in a small booth . Pizza looked and apparently was lovely my risotto with crispy panchetta was odd too much marscapone for my liking and the ( never had risotto with marscapone before ) crispy panchette seemed to be chopped up salami. Some had desserts ,large portions and looked nice . All in all OK.

Excellent food and service. Fresh pasta, tasty pizzas. Just a word of warning , the Piccante pizza was chilli hotter than the average person would find OK. I eat very hot curries and found it ‘challenging’.

Highly recommended restaurant. From an easy booking process to an attentive and friendly staff and most importantly excellent food, this establishment does not disappoint. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Another delicious Sunday lunch. Risotto with salmon and seafood, and chicken with mushrooms and peppers - my favourite ‘go-to’ dish - see photo. On the way home, we were asked for directions to Venezia. ( It’s next to the sex shop and opposite the funeral directors.) Little did the man know we’d just eaten there. We hope he enjoyed it as much as we do. First rate restaurant, with recently refurbished interior, excellent service and the best food in Taunton.

Nice Italian restaurant. Dinner was excellent, food very tasty. It's a little too tight, tables are too close to each other, it can be very loud too.

Having visited Italy many times , my son is a big fan of authentic Italian food and has very high standards on quality. He visited Venezia and was very impressed by all aspects of this restaurant. Service , food and ambience were all spot on !! Hence my husband and I booked this restaurant for my birthday , after my son’s glowing recommendations. We were not disappointed. Absolutely lovely experience on all counts. We are very lucky to have this fab restaurant in our area. Keep doing what you are doing guys

This is an excellent restaurant. I cannot fault the standard of service or quality of dishes served. I attended a large group dinner gathering (18) and everything that came out of the kitchen was served together, hot and well presented. I then rebooked a few days later for a special family gathering. Some of us took advantage of an excellent value Monday special - steak, chips and wine for two for £40. Again, we were not disappointed. The house wines are also very good and prices are very reasonable for the quality of dishes. A real gem of a restaurant for Taunton.

The food and the place was absolutely amazing..we had various starters and amazing pasta, risotto and steak as a main..very well executed..the service was ok just needs more attention to details..overall I would highly recommend the restaurant 😃

I recently dined at this incredible Italian restaurant, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed with warm, professional service by the staff. The waiters were exceptionally polite, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, ensuring that everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely outstanding. The pasta dishes were rich and flavorful, cooked to perfection with sauces that tasted like they came straight from Italy. The pizzas had the perfect balance of a crispy yet airy crust and fresh, delicious toppings—easily some of the best I’ve ever had. For my main course, I opted for a medium-rare steak, and it was sublime. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and tender, it was seasoned just right, delivering a truly memorable dining experience. And the desserts—oh my! Whether you're a fan of tiramisu, panna cotta, or gelato, their selection is divine. Each dessert was beautifully presented and tasted as amazing as it looked. Beyond the food, the restaurant was spotless. Cleanliness is clearly a priority, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Love this place. We were a family group of 11. There were about 8 or more other customers in at the time. Our service was superb. The food is pure Italian, as it should be. We will not stop going to this restaurant.

We have eaten here 4 times in 13 days. We have eaten with relatives and just the two of us. That’s because of the delicious meals - and there is a wide variety of- the first class service and the ambiance. It’s no surprise that it gets so many 5 star reviews. We choose to eat here to celebrate birthdays and wedding anniversaries, as well as visiting on Sundays or just popping in during the week. Definitely our restaurant of choice.

We had a great meal at Venezia in Taunton on 24.08.24. This restaurant stands head and shoulders above others in the area, whether part of a chain or independently owned. The food was exceptionally good from starters to desert. The menu is classic Italian. As a family we have all been on holiday to Italy many times and we all agreed this restraunt was as good as any we'd been to in Lazio or Tuscany. The service was impeccable and it was nice to get through a meal without being continually pestered and asked "is everything is ok" which is always annoying. Venezia also has a great atmosphere and we felt at home from the begining. We will certainly be going back and must congratulate the owners on creating a great dining experience; this is now our new favourite in Taunton.

I was surprised how dry my risotto was. And my friends pasta was microwaved and extremely hot. Unfortunately it's a one time visit from us.

Visited for the first time last night to celebrate our wedding anniversary and we will definitely be back again! The atmosphere is really lovely and the service was absolutely spot on. Food was delicious and very good portion sizes. We love Italian food so will definitely have to come again.

Celebrated my daughter’s 17th birthday here, such a wonderful place, the service was outstanding the food was delicious everyone in our party of 13 cleared their plates. They made it extra special when they brought out the main with happy birthday on the plate. The portions were so big we had no room for pudding but then they brought out a tiramisu with a candle where we sung happy birthday. We had to ask for extra spoons as it was delicious. Highly recommend to anyone local or on holiday in Taunton you will not be disappointed. We will definitely visit again if we are on holiday here again. Absolutely fabulous a must visit for anyone who loves food as great variety.

A family of 6 for get together meal Recommended by bro whom visits regularly Overall small but friendly atmosphere with menu to cover all tastes including vegetarian Price were very good Some of the group had starters and all choices were of good size and quality My wife had the gnocchi and enjoyed , for myself had the duck asked for pink and it was cooked to perfection Other meals were tasty and of good quality I was assured Desserts varied I chose not to partake but my wife had the tiramisu which she advised was good Service polite and efficient My only gripe was not being asked during maid if everything was ok, this alone could lead to a complaint if not checked during service, ours was all good but I missed this important part of any dining experience

Went on a lunchtime so a bit quiet but great food, good portion size. Will go again.

Food is good but inside it lacks any atmosphere. Tables from the 1980s, ditto chairs, tiny paper napkins. We were on a table for 4 and could hardly move. No hint of anything Italian with bare walls and dreadful colours on the brick walls. Staff lacked Italian charm. It reminded us of a greasy spoon decor.

As it was my birthday we decided to go out for dinner stopping at Venezia to see if they had a table available. Luckily they were able to fit us in. One of the team must of overheard my wife wishing me happy birthday as when my food came out there was a birthday message on it. Great attention to detail, always the little things that make the most difference Thank you.

We had seen the weekend specials on Facebook whilst still at home, and I fancied the lamb shank. Last time I had one, many years ago, I was unable to manage it; it was too large. However, I decided to try it today and it was delicious, as was the gravy and vegetables. I didn't manage to strip the bone, but ate almost all of the lamb which was melt-in-the-mouth and delicious. We eat here regularly, but this dish was truly superb. Thank you. (My husband enjoyed his seafood risotto, too. He said it was full of fish.)

Fabulous! I had heard good reviews about this restaurant and thought I would try it out. My friend and I both had delicious meals and the service was excellent. Glad I booked in advance as the restaurant was busy for a Monday evening but this added to the ambience. Highly recommended and I will definitely be returning.

We loved everything there the staff very friendly and eager to serve. We had 2 x seafood platters well presented and very tasty and cooked to perfection with care. Other food on menu looks and sounds great have to go back to try other dishes. Loved and definitely recommend to go there. Super

We found this restaurant on Trip advisor. 2 couples travelling from a long distance to meet up for lunch. The staff were brilliant and very considerate. They didn't hurry us to leave. The food was very tasty and good size portions. The mussels were something we would go back for and as for the tiramisu, wow. We all enjoyed our meals. Just as an extra there was easy parking just over the road. Thank you very much for being so patient with us when we took 6 hours over lunch! We will be back if you will have us.

What a gem restaurant! I’ve been at Saturday night. The restaurant was full but our mains and starters came on time, hot and nice. Waiters weren’t intrusive and gave enough attention to every table, they were nice and polite. We finished our meal with delicious banoffee and tiramisu. We will definitely come back! Expensive. . Food- ugh! I paid £7.50 for a tomato, 3 thin slices of mozzarella, a rocket leaf one basil leaf & half a teaspoon of pesto . My friends bruschetta had ice in it! When she didn’t eat it she was grilled as to why she hadn’t, and when she explained , was harassed about it. Lamentable presentation. Tables really shoved together. Not good.

I've been here 4 times now. It's that incredible that I was there twice last week. The service is always incredible, the food is always amazing and the portions are absolutely fantastic for the price! Drinks are always topped up, the second the glass is empty, there is always somebody there to ask if you want another. Top notch service for sure. 10000% my favourite places to go for food. I will always recommend Venezia to friends and family! The Anatra Arrosto (Duck breast with cherry compote) is just to die for! Can't wait to come again!

Booked a table for Valentine's day and did not expect anything extraordinary. However we were suprised at the attention to detail which went into both the choice of menu and the ambience.
