Love Zizzi's !! The food and the atmosphere are great but we come back for the service. Staff are always friendly - just perfect :)

Delicious and nice presentation in the food of the starters, mains and desserts we ordered. I always get the chicken spiedini and is always good consistency, of cooking every time. The garlic mozzarella bomba, tasted amazing, it’s a must try! The in front of house team was very polite, friendly and welcoming. We are very happy of our dinner date experience here and we will come be back again.

Excellent food, service and a very pleasant atmosphere. Our server Raquel was delightful.

Sea Bass meal was superb followed by the Black Forest Fondant, possibly the best meal I have ever had out. The service from Aga and Monika was fantastic and my wife and I WILL be back again. Thank you Tony and Mel Chambers All food would be worthy of trying at Zizzi, It won’t disappoint

Zizzi's Taunton is a fantastic place for a range of tasty Italian food. The food was delicious, and the 2 sharing starter boards was perfect for our group of 6. Jack, the waiter from Venezuela, was great! He was very attentive, prompt and fun. It was a great experience and we'll be back again soon! Thanks to the whole Zizzi Taunton team.

The starters are tasty, but the calzones are unfortunately made from frozen dough. The quality is similar to pizza from chain stores such as PapaJohns and Dominos. Nothing to do with Italian cuisine🍕🤮

Stunning venue, the restaurant itself is extremely beautiful so the ambience is there. Amazing food and the staff are extremely welcoming and quick. You can tell they’re working in a happy environment. The manager was also extremely sweet when greeting us.

Nice meal for loads of us. Good service and staff were helpful and friendly. It was a pity that the table was too long and narrow as we were unable to speak to everyone most of the evening. Perhaps explore the option of a couple of large round tables so everyone can see and talk to one another. Would of made our visit 5 stars.

Small portion sizes, left hungry and out of pocket!

Food,staff,prices is everything perfect but Is only 3 tables which is in the staff way and this 3 table is wobbly becouse the floor is moving when the staff pass near by!so those tables must be removed from there to be all perfect!!

A large group of us booked here very last minute on a Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time. The food and service was great, the restaurant itself had a lovely feeling.

Fabulous place. Highly recommend. Raquel was incredible and made us feel so welcome. Very adhering to my allergies being coeliac and was made so feel so comfortable and not a hindrance at all. Highly recommend.

Absolutely love Zizzi, this one especially because it is in such a nice setting, a huge old church building. Food was lovely as usual, my only fault would be a the pricing, which is pretty high compared to competitors such as Zizzi. That’s not an issue with this particular outlet though, more the whole chain in general, so my 5 star rating remains. The staff are absolute gold here, they are such a close knit team and really offer a great experience.

First time I've tried their gluten-free pizza and I have to say, Zizzi have nailed it! Best GF pizza I've had to date.

Celebrated a birthday at Zizzi Taunton last night and cannot thank Monica and our fantastic waitress enough for going above and beyond to ensure we all had a brilliant time, the food was fabulous, as always and the service was excellent!! Everyone at the table all thoroughly enjoyed the meal and all passed on their thanks to the team for looking after us so well!

The waiting staff dropped sauce on my child, the food was bland and overall, did not live up to expectations. A waste of a birthday meal- will not be returning.

Love this Zizzi, it’s located inside a converted Tudor School House with high vaulted ceilings and arched windows with great views of Taunton Minster. Service is always good and attentive and food is great.

Great meal with friends. We love the Taunton Zizz. In fact I am surprised at a few of the negative reviews regardign staffing. We have never been disappointed and the service has always been excellent. This time it was king prawn skewer and arancini for starters. Then a rustica pizza forme and risotot for my wife, with an extra skewer of king prawns. the food, service and wine was great.

Pretty disappointed with this branch of Zizzi, normally go to the Exeter one and have never had a bad experience. We had booked a table and were shown on arrival where to sit, most of us were crammed in one area but that made it warmer! The waitress was lacklustre to say the least. The food was the biggest disappointment. I had the fondue dipping cheese which was completely bland and both my husband and I had pasta dishes which had no taste at all. About 2 mins after the food arrived the waitress asked if it was ok, we obviously said yes as it had just arrived. I couldn’t eat mine as it was so awful. Stringy chicken which you wondered if it was safe to eat! She came back 15 mins later and said you aren’t enjoying at why didn’t you tell me when I asked, this is quite rude to a paying customer, I responded by saying you asked me in the first 2 minutes and I hadn’t eaten any! She did in fairness take it off the bill. The food is bland and awful and overpriced. It’s like frozen pasta reheated. Even the lemon ice cream tasted of very little. I know this is a chain and we shouldn’t expect much, but this was very poor.

Great food and service every time!

We enjoyed a lovely evening at Zizzi in Taunton. Without overplaying it, a newer member of their team made a bit of an error within the ordering process, but the staff were fab in dealing with it. It happens and it didn't spoil anything as they were all great, leaving an overriding enjoyment of our evening. The food was lovely, staff great and attentive without being intrusive, the atmosphere was just right, and we left happy we'd chosen the right venue to celebrate a birthday. Definitely recommend!

I love the character of the building, the staff are polite and friendly, without being over the top.

Visited on Christmas Eve, the restaurant was fairly quiet but started getting busier as we left. All of the team that we spoke to were helpful, I'm gluten intolerant but don't need the fuss of it being treated as an allergen and the team were happy with this as well as checking if one of the festive specials could be made GF (it was and it was very tasty). Food was perfect as always and the cheerful team gave us a happy festive start to Christmas.

Very nice italian restaurant. The arancini were really good and the pizza very nice dough and taste. The ravioli were really good also and the place cozy and relaxing atmosphere.

We were a group of 13 and had a delicious meal with good service from the staff. Just a pity I couldn't use the cash in my purse as its a cashless venue.

An excellent branch of Zizzi's. The staff were friendly, efficient and polite. The food was plentiful and mine came with a gluten free flag which is always reassuring. We will definitely return.

Staff were very friendly but food wasn't worth the price and I didn't enjoy it. The main seating area is in a hall which is very loud and echo-y and made me feel really on edge, some acoustic dampeners would improve this place greatly! Wouldn't come again and can't say that I recommend.

Good starters, good service but pastas we ate weren't up to our taste and slightly undercooked.

We were so impressed with this Zizzi's, particularly the service. The new female member of staff was excellent - smiley, friendly and attentive. Couldn't ask for more. The decor and atmosphere is great. Highly recommended.

Arrived 20 mins before the table was reserved I asked if we could have some drinks first. We was shown to our table and within two mins of sitting down a waitress asked for our drinks order. I said can you give us time to look at the menu. I which she came back and took the drinks order within 5 mins. Upon returning I was asked for my food order in which I stated can we have some more time please. The restaurant had about 4 other tables at this point. It was not busy and there 5 members of staff at the bar. When bringing the drinks over we was again asked for my food order. In which I have starters and mains. Out starters came out in no time. We was being watched like hawks at this point by one waitress I’m assuming we was in her station of tables. I finished my meal and within minutes she swooped in and removed my plate what I didn’t agree with my partner was not finished. Then continued to return every few minutes looking over my partners shoulder to see if she was finished. As soon as she was in she came again and took her plate. I am not joking when I say this within a minute our mains was infront of us. I said excuse me. We have just finished our starters you didn’t even ask how the food was at all or if we was ready for mains. She said this is company policy. I have eaten in Exeter Zizzi twice in October and the service was not like this. She took our meals away. I ordered more drinks and within 20 mins the food was brought back. Luke warm, What’s worse we both had shellfish pasta. The sauce on the carbonara was now clumpy and my scollop was so dry and stuck to the shell I couldn’t get it out. The waitress checked back in which I said I and sorry I am not eating the it’s like warm it’s a food hazard. Her reply was well I put it in the heater!! Her words to a paying customer. She asked if we wanted fresh in which I said it should have been done again it was your mistake not mine. She laughed and walked away. Returning with our bill with the mains of £18 each still on what we both commented we are not paying for those. She went to another women who I think was a manager and she at this point was charging around while the other women was talking to her and looking at our table. I am disgusted at the service and the food hazards that they thought would be okay to serve. I will not be returning ever again. A date night completely ruined because staff could cooperate with there dinners properly.

Staff were excellent, very helpful. Food was good, very hot . Staff were dressed for Halloween, it was great to see them make the effort.

What lovely evening, beautiful architecture, friendly staff, clean and great service. Food was served hot and well presented, plenty of staff and a great menu. We had the pasta menu and it was very tasty and a couple of mocktails. Highly recommend the strawberry sparkler Definitely will return soon

Booked a table for 4 for a family get together. On arrival was offered a choice of tables. The staff were helpful and efficient. We had 4 different dishes and they were all very tasty. I have no hesitation in recommending or recommending

My sister booked the table a few days before for a birthday upon arriving we gave a name and was told its not on the system. She asked to see our confirmation which we didn't have we was made to feel like we was lying which was not case and then the service felt rushed, although she said she didn't want to rush us. Also asking if we would like to leave a tip at the end was a bit rude especially after the welcome we had. Food was lovely but service was a let down.

One of the best lasagnas I've ever tasted, if not the best. Would definitely recommend for everyone to try it. The starters that we tried felt like there isn't anything special. But would definitely recommend the pasta!

Cozy place with a good ambiance. Staff tries very hard. Original dishes can be found among the classics on the menu. We chose a calzone with meat and a risotto with salmon. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and you can taste it. The calzone had a flat taste to the point of being bland. The risotto was not nice and creamy as I expect from a risotto, but it was more like wet rice. That was a pity.

Staff could not have been more attentive and friendly. Lovely relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful historic building. Food and recommended drinks were all wonderful. Highly recommended. Many thanks - we will be back. X

Not been to Zizzi for a year, and now I remember why! Poor food, terrible service and top it off at the end - rude waiter arguing about £3.25 on the bill that should have been taken off but can't due to technicalities. Well done Zizzi, fighting for £3 cost you next 30 years of business. We will never be returning.

Great food - fresh and delicious! Catered for everyone in the family - we had a variety of pizzas and pasta dishes. I had the hot smoked salmon carbonara with gluten free pasta. It was hot, delicious and tasted fresh! Kids had desserts which looked amazing and they enjoyed. I had a latte which was so good! I knocked one star off as the staff were a little slow, but in some respects it was nice to be left to just enjoy! The building itself is a beautiful setting for a restaurant too!

Second Zizzi visited this week. Had the Duo Verde pizza ..yum!

Great vegan and vegetarian options! Very allergy friendly. The waitress with the piercings was very sweet and helpful. The other waitress were a bit stressed and spread quite thin which made the experience less enjoyable. The restaurant is also very hot (during summer, with the pizza oven on, etc) just to note.

We visited on Friday evening- and whilst the food was lovely as always, the waitress rushed us so much it felt like we were under pressure to leave. It wasn’t busy, lots of empty tables so we were baffled as to why she was so abrupt and keen to accelerate us through our courses and swiftly hand us the bill? We usually find the stuff very friendly and accommodating but this was very off-putting. My friend and I hadn’t seen eachother for a long time and didn’t appreciate feeling like we needed to eat up and leave.

The food was really tasted. I’m a fussy eater but the staff was really accommodating and met all our needs. Clean
