We chose this restaurant after reading reviews and so glad we did! What a fabulous restaurant. We were warmly welcomed when we arrived and all of the staff were extremely friendly. The food was amazing and it was very reasonable. We had a fantastic meal, one of the best I’ve had. 100% recommended

OUTSTANDING!!! This is most definitely one of Tauntons underrated restaurants. The food was delicious. Loads of depth in the food. All dishes on our table of 5 were cooked to perfection. All the staff were extremely attentive, courteous, polite and friendly, nothing felt un natural from their interactions. I can highly recommend the pork tenderloin funghi. The sauce was out of this world. Bonus points for getting 3 large medallions of meat on 1 portion made this 18 stone man very happy customer. The Tiramisu was well balanced and light to end the meal. The pricing was even more surprising! Exceedingly good value for money. 3 course meal and drinks and extra sides came to less than £35 per person. We will definitely be visiting again and urge everyone else to try this place. We'll done and thank you for a lovely relaxed evening.

The pizzas and the pasta ordered were overly salted. And I am not a kind to eat saltless... I like food with seasonings, but here it was way too salty. The room was really noisy, like being in a busy canteen ... not a place for a quiet dîner where you can quietly have a conversation. The staff and service were nice thus.

Looking for a quick bite while travelling up the M5 and rocked up here. Didn't look too promising from the outside but friendly staff, decent menu with lots of Italian favourites and lovely specials. Food was great and good value.

The best place for Italian food that I know. And I travelled already through many countries and cities. Yes, the best Italian restaurant that I ever tried is in Taunton and is called Ciao Amore. The pizzas are amazing.

We visited this restaurant on a busy Saturday night, there were 8 of us including 2 young children. We received excellent service and the food was lovely, we would definitely recommend this family run establishment.

A little gem of an Italian in Taunton, went in with my young family for an early birthday tea. It is simple Italian food that is made from great ingredients, well cooked, served warm and kept everybody happy! The children were made to feel welcome and made a huge mess like normal and was no bother at all. Pizza was authentic, the pasta delicate and the tiramisu was one not to share with anyone. Proper expresso to finish the meal.

Worst Italian food I’ve had in my life! I had a pizza and chicken with potatoes; everything was salty and the potatoes weren’t fresh. When I said that my food was very salty the waitress told me that I should said that I don’t like salty food before ordering (I like salty food and my tolerance for it is very high but this was inedible). The staff were quite rude. If you want good Italian food then avoid this place.

The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to order. The service was friendly and very helpful as there were some dishes (specials) that weren't on the menu. I have been there several times now and can highly recommend it. It's not an over the top place, just friendly and warm. I had the lamb in a red wine sauce which melted in the mouth. Below it asks for hat food you would recommend. I can safely say all off it but I can't comment on the fish as I'm allergic 😁. Go there and try it. You won't be disappointed

I’ve recently visited Ciao Amore to celebrate my 30th birthday with my family. I can’t thank the staff enough for making this day so special. Started with candles, happy birthday sang by the staff and finished with box of chocolates. We have visited this place several times and it’s always a pleasure! Amazing food, great atmosphere and staff always so friendly and kind. Massive thank you 😊

I have to say Mina and the staff at Ciao Amore offer the best Italian food, I've eaten at 100's of Pizzerias and this is by far the best! - Everything is cooked to perfection, prices are amazing and the quality of ingredients is outstanding. Ok, it does look a little bit dated. But the food, the service and the staff are beyond amazing!! It was a busy night, but we didn't need to wait too long for drinks, and each course. The menu is varied, the food was absolutely first class! Delicious homemade bread too!Prices are very reasonable too. I will definitely be returning!

Authentic Italian!???, it’s a name only. Food was awful, over cooked and tasteless. I’d been looking forward to this for 2 weeks and ended up bitterly disappointed. Staff were ok and apologised for poor food. Would not recommend.

Wow what a perfect little restaurant in Taunton. From the time we entered as a very large group of 15 to the time we left the service from all the staff was impeccable. The food was outstanding and all arrived lovely and hot and all very reasonably priced. We all left with high praises and every one saying that they would definitely be back.

The Farfalle dall’ Amore is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever eaten. My partner had the Pollo Valdostana which was delicious as well. I have nothing but compliments for the staff. The value for money is particularly excellent as well. I cannot recommend this place enough.

Our first visit here and certainly won't be our last. Service was excellent, staff very friendly and polite. Lovely little restaurant with complementary olives and breadsticks on arrival. Very well priced food and full of amazing flavour. Every dish we were served was delicious and as a family we all tried each other's dishes to sample the wonderful flavours. We loved the fact that desserts weren't over priced too so we treated ourselves. Something we tend not to do as a family usually, but the price was very reasonable so we were happy to purchase. My only concern was that the cream on the tiramisu was extremely runny and not like any other tiramisu I've ever tried. Maybe it was supposed to be this way? It was still delicious though. Will definitely recommend and visit again.

Whenever we come to Taunton, we make a point on having a meal here. The food is always superbe and all the staff are both welcoming and helpful. There is plenty to choose from on the menu and I can honestly say this is some of the best Italian food that I have ever had. Fino alla prossima volta.

Ciao Amore is an amazing family run Italian restaurant with such delicious food and lovely staff. The owners are really kind and make the place so welcoming. Spaghetti Puttanesca and pollo al funghi are some of our favourites. Make sure you go if you’re in Taunton, it’s a real gem 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Ciao Amore is run by the loveliest people and have the best Italian food in the south west! It’s always so homemade and delicious, we only wish we lived nearer by! We always come after a long journey and leave feeling full and very happy! Thank you we will be back!

We went Ciao on Wednesday evening (a great night to choose if you prefer places a little quieter) my first visit and the food and service was excellent.. portion size was good and all freshly cooked. Much better than the usual chain restaurants... Good value..

It was a lovely place, the servers were very polite and the food was amazing! Two of us ordered pizzas and I think I've eaten that good only on Italy, one got gnocchi who were very fresh!

First time in Taunton and we decided to have dinner here. We walked past Ciao Amore and after looking at the menu we decided to try it. Customer service was excellent, food was excellent and very good prices, ☺️overall 10 out of 10. We will be definitely coming here again. You must visit this cosy restaurant .

As a Italian I can say the food presented and made was as a authentic Italian way. Service was amazing, kind and very quick. Atmosphere same as in one Italian restaurant and very cozy. 100% would recommend and definitely when we will come around we will visit again. Keep up the great work. Well done!

Any time I am on my way to Devon or Cornwall, or when I am in or around Somerset, I alway make a point of dining at Ciao Amore. I used to come with my good lady who loved it as much as I did; she passed away two years ago but I still go there as is such a special place. It was/is our/my favourite restaurant; not just in the area, but in the UK. The food is simply superb. The bruscheta starter is magnificent; it is baked and prepared fresh for diners. There are so many delicious mains available that I cannot talk about them all. Two particular favourites are the Lamb and Mushrooms with Rosemary Potatoes (n.b. this is not on the regular menu but is a "special" the Chianti which the restaurant serves goes rather well with this) and the Pollo Rosmarino. Both of these simply melt in the mouth. For pudding the tiramisu is a family recipe and is heavenly. The kitchen staff are welcoming and friendly and it is a pleasure to thank them for their efforts. Another area where Ciao Amore scores so highly is in the standard of service. The senior waitress (hope that is the correct descriptor) is the most friendly and efficient I have ever seen. She exhibits the highest standards as do all the serving staff there; and that is because they are trained by the senior lady to provide top class service. Everyone is thorough, efficient and amicable. This is the third time I have reviewed Ciao Amore over the years and it has maintained its standards. In my view it cannot get better, but it succeeds in continuing to offer a wonderful dining experience. I look forward to my next and every subsequent visit. Congratulations to all at the restaurant; you deserve the high praise which has been heaped upon you and your permanent position high up in the ratings for Taunton.

Lovely family run restaurant. We come here so often I always forget to leave a review! Our favourite Italian ever. Lovely friendly staff and a very welcoming cosy intimate atmosphere, whilst never feeling too overcrowded. My favourite is when they have the garlic mushroom starter and the prawn in tomato sauce starter on the specials. So good and full of flavour. Very reasonable prices too. Cant wait to come back!

My wife and I went with two friends on Saturday night. It was very busy (and noisy) but the waiting staff were very friendly and efficient. Despite all the tables being full we did not wait long for either service or the food. We were all exceedingly happy with our choices and look forward to another visit soon. Thanks to the chef and all staff.

The waiting staff are lovely and attentive and the food comes out at a good pace, however this being the first time I had been there despite living in Taunton for 8 years and hearing amazing reviews my wife and I were surprised at the lack of food quality. In our view Venezia and Little Italy are much better food-wise. Starters we had calamari (too tough) and stuffed mushrooms (ok!) I had the Lemon chicken which consisted of 4 small chicken breasts. Bit odd really, I was expecting a large grilled chicken breast with some skin on. The chicken was low quality (looked and tasted boiled) with spinach (ok) and potatoes (nice). The desserts were our favourite dishes.

Lived in Taunton most of my adult life and never eaten here. After reading the reviews we decided to check it out last week and were back within a week. Have to say, both visits were fantastic. Stunning food, friendly fun service, and even though at first sight the building is a bit odd, when busy it generates a really vibrant enjoyable atmosphere. (And we saw some Italian people we know eating there, always a good sign..) Definitely coming back for a third visit soon. (Forgot to say, exceptional value too)

Food was fantastic. The assistance was fair. Pleasant idea, incredible food, yet the staffs not individuals cordial. Several hiccups, yet we brought our own wine and the food was phenomenal. In this way, all things considered, everything turned out great.
