Went on xmas day. We had booked/ordered early as requested for xmas day meals. We were seated quickly but that was the only thing positive that day. 40 minutes later we were told about a complimentary drink that is available at the bar for those who booked. Was told nothing else about other drinks or progress on our food. 30 minutes after that we were asked are we ready for our mains, to which we said no we are still waiting on our starters! We said we've got a diabetic gentleman here that needs his food ASAP otherwise his sugars will drop too low and he could go into a diabetic coma. 5 minutes later a bowl of complimentary chips was given for the gentleman. 10 minutes later our starters came. No one had asked or poured any wine that's supposed to be included with the meals. Mains: We ended up waiting for an hour before we were told to then go to the carvery section and que up for the xmas meal. My mother didn't order the carvery, she opted for the salmon option. So by the time we finally came back to the table with the carvery dinners (20 mins later as there was a long que) she was still waiting for her salmon. The poor lady was still waiting 20 minutes after that, by then we finally managed to get hold of a member of staff to tell them that the lady was still waiting on her salmon dinner ( what were they doing, catching the salmon fresh)!! The carvery people were almost finished with their dinner when the lady finally got her salmon. When she was only half way through her meal she was asked if she was finished, just because she had stopped for a few moment (as some people do have a break for a few moments when eating a big meal than what they are used to). She was finding it difficult to eat. As for the main people with the carvery, they did not enjoy their meal. Roast parsnips, brussel sprouts, roast potatoes, carrots and peas were under cooked, the yorkshire puddings were like card board, and the turkey was tasteless . Oh and there was still no complimentary wine that was supposed to be included with the meal. The only thing we did enjoy was the cauliflower cheese. Pudding: we ended up waiting another 40 minutes before we were asked if we were ready for our desserts as they finally cleared our plates from the mains and starters! 15 minutes after that it came out. We except that xmas day is a busy time for the members of staff and that there could be some delays, but this was ridiculous and such a poor service. This was supposed to be a treat for my mither who always cooks us roast dinner. For once we wanted her to have a nice relaxing xmas day without having to cook for once. But this experience completely spoilt it. If we had known it was going to be that bad we'd have booked somewhere else or even stayed at home for a nicely cooked roast. We will not be booking xmas dinner here again!

The order was not right , food was horrible, they made us feel like we was a inconvenience being here rude , unhelpful not coming back again

Went for a quiet drink this evening. The service was absolutely shocking. There was 1 member of staff serving and the manager, all they were interested in was the people who went there for food. We were constantly ignored and waited for 15 minutes as were others who were waiting to be served.

It was ok. The food was standard, about what you would expect. The service was slow but friendly.

Food was delicious, great value for all you can eat as well. Staff were friendly with a good sense of humour. Only minor complaint is wish the food was help yourself instead of cooked to order.

Wow - what a lovely experience… The staff (Gaynor and Smiler) were amazing, friendly, so accommodating and made us feel so welcome. Everything was beautifully organised and very professional run.. Food was incredible. Truly an amazing experience.. Thanks everyone x

Astounded when we returned after show in town to be told at 10.30pm by a man outside that we couldn't go in for 1 drink. 1st June 2024He said it was closed despite clearly seeing people inside drinking ? We were staying at Premier Inn next door. Breakfast next morning was good

Popped in today for lunch with my daughter. Greeted by Roxanne with a smile, shown to a table to look at the menu. Quick , polite , helpful service . Delicious food. Well cooked and brought out to us quickly. We then had a new waitress Piper. Very helpful and polite. Can't fault our visit. Highly recommend a visit before it sadly closes. A great loss to taunton and brewers fayre. This is one of the nicest ones we visit.

Surroundings dated & tatty, but the menu, food & staff were excellent. Re-vamp your pub.

Very good menu, the food was good, staff were very professional and friendly but the decor and furniture were very poor, ripped with bear threads. Don't forget to enter your car registration on arrival.

We waited 10 minutes to even be seated, there was a maximum of 5 people in there. Atmosphere was awful felt like the staff didn’t care at all, food was bland and didn’t have half the menu! Got an alcoholic drink and they didn’t ID, I’m over the age of 18 and they came over to me after I had started drinking and took it away as I didn’t have my ID then my partner had to go home to get it halfway through our meal as i had already drank some, really disappointed!

Had a great night at Brewers Fayre having dinner. food was warm,fries were crispy and the dessert looked just like the photo on the menu. If you’re thinking of having a dinner outside, I suggest you to come here.

The guy serving, Philip, was so miserable and abrupt. The food, cost a lot more for a very small amount. No fruit in the gin, lots of ice 😖

Good food for it's price category. Service is always good and they have a good children's soft play area.

It’s always nice to return to one of the best food places in Taunton. The service was top notch, especially as it was our anniversary we really enjoyed our time and how well the staff looked after us. Many thanks to Roxanne and Nuno for being the stars of our evening!

Turned us away due to being short staffed in the kitchen but are still accepting reservations and the restaurant was empty.

Fantastic, very happy staff. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Reservations for dining are easily available. Staff serving meals are tentative without being in your face. Great choice of menu. Order from the bar, pay at the time of ordering. There was a small error on my order, but it was very quickly rectified with no fuss. I was offered the price of the dish as compensation for the mix-up. But I did not take them up on the generous offer as they meal was sorted out so quickly and efficiently I was very impressed. Other people would probably have made a fuss for the sake of it, but I am not like that at all. I was very happy with how the matter was handled. The member of staff did his job extremely well. As I said , I was happy with this. If or when I return to Taunton, I will definitely eat there again. 5* service

Your chef never service cold pudding I am last visiting last time at there jamrollppy was very cold no mangar did not say sorry I am was chef 46 years not good!!! Steve

The breakfast is really good value and kids eat free which is a bonus,the only problem was that even though I got there as they brought the food out it wasn't hot not even that warm which is a shame

Went for lunch today. Screaming children running around, the noise was horrendous. After waiting an hour for food I went to find out where it was, I was told the till hadn't sent orders through to the kitchen so we were in a queue. I think maybe a member of staff could have gone around to customers and explain the situation. We left without eating and we were given a refund and they were very apologetic.

Friendly and welcoming. Great food and great service. We tried a variety of dishes from the menu all were superb and cooked perfectly to our personal preferences. Would highly recommend for a great meal at a reasonable price. The Gonk lover will be back soon.

Took the kids to play in the new softplay and have a drink. We decided to stay for food too. We're glad we did. Despite them being understaffed, the food was very good. And although busy the staff were attentive and polite. Overall, it was a great experience with the little ones and friends.

Terrible food, play area a rip off and staff couldn't have been any more miserable. We had to ask for each course because we waited so long. When I asked if the food was delayed the waitress tutted. It is so different to other Brewsters I have been to.

Most Brewers Fayre are nice and let you change/customise things due to allergies but O'bridge don't and normally in all pubs including O'bridge Ice and a Slice is free to add to drink but today in O'bridge I got Charged a extra £1.15 just for a slice of lemon in drink. And The Guy that served me didn't even know they sold Crisps, Nuts and Bar snacks until I pointed at them.

Excellent Christmas Carvery. All of the staff were really friendly and gave excellent customer service Mothers Day carvery, at normal price, there were vouchers for a free 2 course meal for mums. The food would have been 5 star, if the beef was not full of sinews.

The front of house, Philip, was rude. We arrived with no reservation and told there was no capacity - there were loads of tables. Went outside and booked a table online for 15 mins later. When we walked back in, Philip said we'd have to wait and gestured for us to wait outside (with a toddler). It's not even that the customer service was bad, it was actively woeful. Philip clearly had zero interest. The only thing he was proactive in was trying to turn people away. Also observed him being dismissive towards other customers. In terms of food, you get what you pay for. The service, however, was an absolute joke.

Good value food & service but the place is really in need to a good refurb. The chairs were badly worn and the carpet was badly fitted in places making it a trip hazard. It was not shabby chic. Just shabby as the tables all seemed to be in good order.

We went into the restaurant as we were staying overnight on our journey to Cornwall. The service and smile we got from Phillip when we walked in was infectious. Nuno made sure we were made to feel like nothing was too much trouble and Piper was a breath of fresh air

Lovely place for inexpensive meals and drinks. Great loyalty card system if you visit more frequently. Ideal for a drink or two out in the sunshine as well.

Food was average, had a buy one get one free voucher so good value and drinks reasonably priced.

Had fish and chips. Nice, but the peas were a bit hard. Service was good, staff polite and helpful.

Came for lunch with my mum, was greated, seated and served by Roxanne who was very friendly and helpful. Food was very good value for money and nicely presented. Will be back soon.

Quite good food and staff lovely

Went for lunch, the first thing that hit me was the restarant was in dire need of renovation. The state of most of the seating was a disgrace, looked like faux leather that was disintegrating and coming away from the backing. The carpet was ruckled up in a number of places, a trip hazard. The staff were good and the food arrived promptly. We had fish and chips for lunch. The fish was good, freshly cooked tasty and hot. The chips were dire, soggy and just warm, tasted like they had been hanging around a while since they were cooked. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant, it just isn't up to the standard I have experienced at numerous other Brewers Fayre restaurants.

A regular here. Good food, good prices, good selection of drinks and refill available. Recommended at least once , Sunday they also do roast with all you can eat sides.

food is ok for the price but had a very watery quiche so put me off of coming here again , the service is not great at all, took about half an hour to order the food due to how slow the person behind the till was, very tacky furniture and generally not a pleasant experience. the only good thing about this restaurant is that it is very family friendly but apart from that this restaurant is shocking.

We came in for lunch today. From Brad seating us and Megan serving us at the table was very professional and friendly. The food was top notch, hot and delicious and really good value for money. The big stack was amazing I don’t often finish...

On arriving Brad seated us and asked about allergies. Not something you get very often!!! Not sure why as know how important it is. Ordering was easy, Megan bought us our food and checked we had everything we needed. Philip the manager checked we were ok and we asked who the chefs were as my burger was amazing. I was surprised that Julio and Abbie came out so I could thank them personally. My daughter ordered a caramel chocolate nibble sundae this was brought out by YOLO who asked if we needed anything else. The sundae was delicious. I would only recommend as it can be pricey going out. This was value for money!!!!

Eat here when I am down in the area in business.. tonight I was approached by a young man named Jack. He was very polite and very courteous and obviously cares about the standard of service he offers. I was very impressed .

Had a brilliant evening out. The staff, Jack and Maisey treated us as if we were the most important customers that they had in tonight. The food was really good, so a big thank you for rounding off our day in such a lovely way.

Great venue to wait while vehicle is being worked on at Priorswood Ind Est. Had buffet brekky, very nice and relaxed environment. Full English breakfast was very nice.

Went on to breakfast before a trip into Town. Breakfast buffet was amazing. See pic below. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very uplifting. Cheap and cheerful chain restaurant. Food very average but edible. A sort of you get what you pay for establishment. Two meals cost what we would normally at least pay for one. We wanted a quick bite after the cinema and it fulfilled that purpose perfectly. Service was very good on the whole, food arrived quickly and the staff were friendly and efficient. Atmosphere a bit harsh with overhead spots, so not the place for a romantic night out. Furniture comfortable but basic. Overall OK and wouldn't mind going again.

Kinda of average pub. Food was OK but nothing special. Speed of food service good, but long wait at the bar and the gentleman who served us had strong body odour which wasn't pleasant. Vegetarian in our group were disappointed with the options available.

We had a 2023 Christmas Day dinner for our family. It was really disappointing! Frozen veg and potatoes and we had to serve ourselves for the main meal with long queues. Will NOT be returning again !! Ripped off !!

Terrible customer service was told we could eat in play area, then when ordering was told be couldn’t. Ended up with two very Hungary children as apparently no tables although most were empty. Poor management poor service

Decided to meet up with the family at the Obridge Taunton on Sunday. I easily booked a table on the Brewers Fayre website. We all had a great time. The food was really good. All the colleagues were very professional and helpful. Brilliant all round

Having stayed in the Premier Inn behind the O'bridge this was the only place I could frequent whilst on my business trip. The staff where funny, welcoming, joyful and knowledgeable of the area. The breakfast whilst free for me was great as it was an all you can eat [I see as a warning rather than a challenge] The burgers at dinner were well cooked and enough chips to drown a Scotsman. Loved my stay here.

The staff were polite. Unfortunately. The value for money has dropped since the menu change. On a smothered chicken, you used to get, side garnish and coleslaw. Now you have to pay an additional extra for them, nearly half the meal price again. The meal came out looking worse than a fast food restaurant, a very beige meal. I will not be eating at a brewers fayre again until the menu has been improved.

Pre booked a table for 6 for 1pm a few days before. On arrival, I was told rather abruptly that my booking was for 2.15pm & the staff member was insistent about it. However, strangely enough, there was a table for 6 reserved & ready for us.... All went well with our meal which was served fairly quickly, the only (small) gripe was that my medium steak was more on the rare side than medium, otherwise everything was fine. Will eat there again.

staff pleasant , starter soup came out cold rectified quickly but no basil. main seemed longer to come out when did festive steak meal came out with incorrect vegetables /overpowering garlic in spinach . had better meals from rival chains.

Christmas lunch with large group. Preordered food from Christmas menu, which was better than expected as pub was busy! We had to wait but were not in a hurry. I just hope we weren’t too loud with our chatter! Portion sizes were good and vegetables...

6 of us booked a table for dinner. Ordered food, was told a 40-minute wait. After over an hour, we had to ask about our main courses, and they appeared another 5-10 minutes later. We ate them quickly as had deserts already ordered. Then again, I waited 20 minutes and again had to enquire about them. They then appeared within 5 minutes. The food was good, the staff polite but over 2 hours for 2 courses is unacceptable.

Which when we turn up our table was not ready and got put in the bar area with sticky tables and pervious baby food items on. Once our original table was ready we moved over however we had already order and the communication was not explain from back of house to front. One of the starts and drinks when to the bar table so had to reorder our drink. Considering it was the 9th day of December they were a lot of dishes missing/not available from the festive menu for a reasonably busy evening ahead. Coming as a guest from a hospitality and catering background this was poor stock taking/ordering from the kitchen side. For the price and the chain restaurant it is. You don’t expect the highest level of quality but overall food was HOT, good and large portion sizes. Every much enjoy the festive atmosphere and spending time with loved ones. Thank you for your services this year but i can’t promise any return visits when we are next in Somerset.

Good atmosphere and great food for a Christmas meal, all 16 of us had a great time, Thank you all again.

I love bringing my mum and daughter here and inviting our friends to come with us Phil always makes us feel welcome the service is always spot on when I first brought my daughter I was so worried about her making a mess and Phil told me it was not anything to worry about and it can all be cleaned, he put my nerves to rest. Phil is the best and me and my family appreciate him because he is a clam, reassuring and a superstar.

Had an enjoyable tikel with a few work colleagues. Very nice meal.
