Tables and floor filthy. Macdonalds run out of bottled water and Fanta on a Monday at 11.30am. Toilets all blocked and filthy.

I don't like to post negative reviews, I usually skip. But having a reply after leaving a 1 star rating, I thought I would on this occasion... Travelling home from Bristol airport at 3am after a long flight and needed to stop for a break to stay awake. I found all the outlets were closed except WH Smith. This wasn't satisfactory as I wanted a hot meal, rather than just a packet of crisps and a choc bar, disappointing and irritating. Clearly says open 24 hrs so I expected there to be more available than just the toilets and 1 shop. I realise it was in the middle of the night and not profitable to be open, so maybe you should close and not claim 24 hour status. Will drive past in future....

As motorway services go, this is very much an old, dilapidated, and lacklustre version. It is poorly set out, the choices are poor, and there are no inviting spaces to eat your food. There are only two EV chargers just placed within normal parking bays as an afterthought. Definitely avoid this place if possible.

Can't understand why fuel,coffee, etc. is so expensive. It's easy to find the location. There are captive customers who have to stop, no narrow lanes or access issues. Beats me, this ol cowboy is getting too old.

Probably one of the better mainstream stops. I never stop Gordano as is disgusting. This place has the usual WH Smiths, Maccys, Costa and wildly overpriced fuel especially as logistically these places are the easiest and cheapest to access. Not that Gov.uk cares about the driver and allows such extortion

Dirty toilets, paper all over the floor, leaking sink coned off but also mud in that area(I hope that's what it was) thick dust and rubbish in the corners by the door. I travel often and this is the dirtiest service area I have been to. Costa Coffee in the other building was clean with good service but doesn't have toilets.

I want to McDonald’s and I ordered a cheeseburger no pickles on my cheeseburger when I asked for double, but they won’t let me have double

2.30am I popped in for a coffee to keep me going. There was only one coffee machine working but the woman running the place decided to clean it as I walked up to it. Managed to stay awake to finish my journey.

Visited 1130 Sun 15th Sept. Disgusting services. Mens toilets a disgrace every cubicle filthy walls and seats gopping. Bins not emptied tables dirty. McDonald’s chips covered in crumbs fryer not cleaned. Worst services experienced in a long time.

Great car park ideal for caravans and larger vehicles. Also very good for dogs and their chauffeurs.

Only stop for a toilet break, for us and our dog, inside seems clean, always busy, outside needs a good clean, rubbish everywhere, no matter what time we arrive

We stopped here on a long coach journey to Cornwall. A standard service station with a decent choice of food and drink outlets - Fresh Food, Costa Coffee, Chozen Noodle, McDonald's - plus a W H Smith for takeaway sandwiches and other travel essentials. It was very busy, but there were plenty of tables and seating inside and out. Ample parking spaces with EV charge points. But the services were let down by the ladies toilets, which were obviously well used but looked as though they were not cleaned often enough, and the litter around the picnic tables on the grassy space at the back. The Costa Coffee, however, was clean and well organised. Had a chocolate tiffin and a mocha there, the staff were polite and friendly, and the mocha was very good. But overall, not the best services I've stopped at.

Busy but very much a welcome break

Filthy place, toilets disgusting, so much dirt on floors and windows look like they’ve never been cleaned, litter around the car park, saw a rat, crows pulling litter from bins, avoid.

Services were filthy. Toilets were disgusting and stunk of urine! McDonald's was the dirtiest I have seen with no clean tables despite have 4 staff who were laughing, joking and on their phones in the corner of the restaurant. Manager did challenge them however done a poor job of doing so with the 4 staff members laughing as he left!

Megan was truly wonderful. She made checkout seem like a welcome and come back soon energy! She is the epitome of great service 😍🥰

Non called in to this site for a long while and it really has upped its game. As a coach driver I will be making it a stop off whenever down this way.. Very tidy and presentable, good selection of the usual outlets for food and great coffee stop..impresssed..

Dirty, disgusting floors, toilets covered in thick dust, Costa reasonably clean. Looks like not been touched since 70's, Overgrown scruffy carpark. Only go if you are desperate!!!

I have never felt the need to leave a review for a service station; but we are still appalled by our visit on Thursday. In particular McDonalds, which is usually clean in other locations. Here though, every single table was dirty, rubbish all over floor, empty condiment stations. We decided it was too grim to sit down. We were reluctant to even eat it. I hold a 5* Hygeine rating myself & I'd be surprised if this place scored a 1. The ladies toilets were also horrendous, stank, dirty, lack of loo roll. Leaves across the floor everywhere. The lights came on as we walked in, then turned off whilst we sat down on the toilet, which scared my child. A day later, all 3 of us are ill with diarrhea & stomach pain/nausea. We visited here many times in the past and its never looked this bad.

Litter everywhere absolute disgrace. Dog bind so full couldn't use. Toilet facilities reasonable but not the cleanest. Didn't try any food or coffee. Didn't fancy anything on offer so moved on quickly!!

Absolutely disgusting, couldn't finish my meal with several flies around our table, dirty floor, dirty tables, dirty chairs, bins overflowing. Health and safety needs to do a walk in.

Hell of a journey south today so a stop at our regular rest place on our trip to Cornwall was as expected. Easy to park, clean toilets and a not to expensive sandwich.

like most service stations, they charge a arm n a leg for service's, complete rip off, take your own food and drink, only use the toilet facilities,

I try really hard to leave positive reviews but I'm sorry to say I can't. Yes, there's a good choice of outlets to eat at but the women's toilets were utterly revolting, with walls and flat surfaces thick with old dirt and dust that haven't been cleaned for ages, water on the floor and the sinks and soap dispensers equally filthy. Avoid unless you're desperate....

Floors and surfaces dirty, with food strewn on floor. Was there for 30 minutes & no evidence of any cleaning staff during that time. Not a pleasant experience & would recommend going to alternative services.

Always stop here when going West country (Devon and Cornwall) to pick up Cornish pasty to get a taste of what's ahead. But We were late this time (16:00 afternoon) so settled for some ice-cream.

Full English Breakfast from Fresh Food was absolutely awful. (2 slices of mushrooms, a lot of sauce and about 6 baked beans and rock hard bacon). Definitely not worth the wait or money. It used to really good but don't think I'll be eating there again. Very disappointed.

An unsafe place to park HGVs overnight. ( 14th June 2024 ) I parked overnight very close to the services in a well lit area of the lorry park , before I settled down for the night I attached a Bulldog lock to the container doors as an extra precaution. The next morning during my walk around I noticed someone had cut off the shipping seal and attempted to open the container doors thankfully the Bulldog lock stopped them gaining full entry. I reported the incident to the services assistant manager and police so I could get a crime number as they'd managed to pull out a couple of items from the container through the small gap in the doors. Not a huge surprise these days but something to be aware of if you're parking up overnight here.

Drive thru Costa lotta but friendly. Didn't use main services but outside area was a festival of litter. A quick walk for the dogs would be better without the piles of fast food wrappers everywhere..

Disgusting state of the toilets here: smell of stale urine, over flowing nappy bins, dirt and grime in the corners and along the edges of the cubicles, unclean toilets, a bucket left with some kind of liquid in it, wobbly taps at the sinks and the manager of the site thought they were ‘not bad’.
