Today I had a table booked for lunch. It was my first visit to the cafe. A really excellent experience. The telephone help was friendly and easy. Our table was clearly marked. Windows were open which, as I am immuno suppressed, meant I felt comfy to sit inside rather than out. I was thrilled to see the smaller meals as I should eat small meals. Often this leaves me asking for children’s options which isn’t a great feeling. To see even half slices of tray bakes was lovely. This is all brilliant accessibility in areas that not many cafes seem to think about. The food was tasty and seemed very freshly prepared. Finally, I have been a fan of other restaurants on the same stretch of road. However, their menus have become outside my budget. The food here felt very good value indeed. I look forward to returning again, soon.

The place has changed name, now Somerset Masala (or so ething like that), same staff, but not as good as our last visit, which was a shame. Fodd was OK, but far too much sauce with the dishes. I appreciate its about saving money/value for money, but just a bit disappointed.

Having met friends for a walk at Fyne Court we decided to call in for some lunch afterwards. What a little gem! Beautiful pub, clean and well presented. Cheerful helpful staff, good menu which catered for our Vegan and Gluten free friends. We would definitely visit again

i was in shock as when i previously have visited coffee #1 i have had lovely staff and a nice greeting this time, i came in and was ignored by all 3 staff members and when my order finally was taken they stopped to have a conversation mid order also when a pastry i ordered one member of staff asked another to give it to me and the member who took it held it for a while and was still having a conversation.. very displeased.

Never judge a book by its cover my mum always said And in the case of the carew arms she's be more than right We booked Sunday lunch at the carew arms and not being from the area we panicked a little apron arrival The outside looked as if it was closed But on checking we were told they were open The pub itself has lived a life old world charm come to mind but with modern day cooking we are both veggie The starter and the main were large and wholesome and very hot and fresh The staff were friendly and attentive at all time nothing was to much trouble We would like to thank the chef for the lovely lunches we received and the bar lady for their hospitality We would highly recommend the carew arms for Sunday lunch Enjoy 😁

We decided to try The Kings Arms after seeing it had been renovated. We wish we hadn't bothered. Barman was friendly enough so we decided to place a food order on their app. 10 minutes later we were advised that the app didn't communicate with the kitchen so we agreed on substitute meals. A further 20 minutes later.....we were the only ones eating...my husband checked on how long it would be and within minutes the food arrived. I had 'Cumberland Sausage' and Mash my husband had some sort of chicken platter. It was the worst-quality ingredients I've ever been served in a pub. We were given a refund of my meal which was OK as we shared the bits of his food that were edible. The volume on the TV and then music was so loud you couldn't hear yourself think. On the way out all the visible bar staff were outside smoking by the front door and nobody was manning the bar. Awful place.

Brilliant evening really friendly and a superb pint this is a gem sitting on the Quantock hills in a beautiful location. The staff were awesome and couldn’t do enough. This is a destination worth visiting. The landlord and land lady Ray & Jo were so welcoming, both experienced chef so if you eating drinking or both you won’t be disappointed. 5* for me

This cafe is in a pretty setting and has a welcoming atmosphere. It is next to a plant nursery and there are a few other small businesses on the site. There are a range of very good cakes and pastries, bread, scones and a brunch menu. The cafe is very pricey but was also very busy so must be doing something right. It has a lovely garden area. Dogs welcome.
