What a wonderful afternoon tea we have all enjoyed at Highfields garden centre, the table was laid beautifully and the food and cakes were delicious as were the lovely scones, (we needed doggy bags to take some home, ) there was a fantastic selection and all freshly made. The service was also fantastic and a special mention must go to Mary who made us feel very welcome and nothing was too much trouble ,she was amazing. The only slight niggle is that the afternoon teas are only available on certain days and weekends so made booking tricky trying to get our large family together on the limited dates available. But definitely - definitely worth booking, it was a delicious treat and we all had a lovely time , definitely to be repeated again Thank you Highfields

After receiving the incorrect order, I was told on 3 separate occasions that the manager would contact me with instructions/how to get my money back. As a customer, I listened, silly me. After many deceitful conversations over the phone, my trusting nature was again abused. I was told that it had been over 24hrs, so they couldn't do anything. Confused, I ask why they told me to wait for an email......obviously it was their policy to take advantage of customers. To this day, I'm out of pocket by £15. Polite throughout on the phone, I can only imagine their staff laughing at me and this post. As for the food I ordered......can't comment. As for the food that arrived.......meh.

Highly recommend this fantastic pub, it never fails as we have visited on numerous occasions previously. Good selection of drinks and the food is simply superb, with the two for one deal, makes the whole experience even sweeter. Only complaint, which was mentioned by other diners as well was regarding staff, and this is not a personal dig in any way. On arrival we were ignored for several minutes whilst the staff muttered over a diary. Once attention was gained the manager served us well, but for god sake smile, what a dull, miserable chap. We even considered going elsewhere, that’s how cheerful our welcome was !! Secondly the younger barman, although pleasant….. what a scruffy guy, was pulling off the homeless vagrant look in every respect. Needs some new clothes/ uniform, a hair cut and a shave at least. Surely cleanliness is quite important in this industry!! Thoroughly enjoyed our evening, despite these issues. After frequently using establishments within the group in the area for many years, it appears that certain standards have fallen short at The Pepperpot.

Another delicious meal at The Pavillion. We usually dine-in as we like to make an occasion of eating such delicious food. I particularly appreciate the table linen, it makes the whole dining experience so special. Last evening we ordered Chicken Tikka, Vegetale Curry, Plain Boiled Rice, Jeera Gost, Pilau Rice, Garlic and Corriander Naan and Popodoms with dips to start, all freshly cooked and couteously served. We have been dining at The Pavillion since it opened in this location after moving from above The Old Neighbourhood Inn. Relatives of ours who have travelled the world and lived and worked in many eastern countries say it is one of the best places for a curry that they have experienced. Brimscombe, Stroud is so fortunate to have such a good Indian Restaurant and Takeaway.

We had a group of 9 for lunch including one gluten free and one vegetarian. Firstly, we had a great round table so we could see each other. Loads of choice for all. When asked about gluten free- they replied what would you like and I will check with chef..so rare these days. Awesome staff. Food amazing, portions good size. Warm and cosy feel in the pub. Perfect for a family lunch..nothing too much trouble - we had hallam fries.. which weren't gluten free she told us when they arrived 10 mins later they did some extra gluten free that's customer service

Stopped off at the Hideout Cafe for a morning coffee. Really liked the look of the yurt. Very good choice of cake and snacks so opted for the marshmallow rocky road cake which was delicious. As it was a lovely day sat outside but it is also very nice in the yurt. Lovely to see a selection of toys for young children which my friend’s great grand daughter appreciated. Staff were also very friendly.

Takeaway burgers. Chicken one excellent. Beef one completely over seasoned with salt and could only eat half. Chips could have been great. But half cooked. Edible yes but another 2 mins in fryer they’d have been in a different league. I know it’s a taste thing but no idea why every place is using a sweetened dough bun or brioche now adays. Would be lovely if just once you could get something in proper bread made only with flour water yeast and a pinch of salt.
