We wandered down the hill into Stroud for dinner at Sorrento, following a local recommendation. The staff were welcoming and the menu provided a section of Italian delights, pasta, pizza and our favourite Risotto. Giovanni's family restaurant has been serving the people of Stroud for 17 years, and tonight our delicious meals were a testament to their success. We recommend this restaurant for a light bite or a full family celebration meal. It's close to the train station, The Sub rooms and taxi ranks. Give them a visit next time you're in Stoud. Delicious food, thoughtfully sourced and beautifully presented. Much thought has gone into every taste and texture. Good vegetarian choices. Pricier than we'd normally pay so we go here for our special occasions. Never disappointed. Highly recommended.

Had the loveliest meal in a really relaxed setting, all 3 courses were delicious, we all said we have to keep coming back until we have tried everything on the menu. My one bit of advice would be to maybe not serve the wine on the menu next to where you can buy it on the shelf as the mark up is just looking you in the face.

We were looking forward to our visit here, but by the time we left, we wish we had gone elsewhere. The restaurant was freezing when we arrived, and we did put this down to the restaurant, having just opened. I did, however, eat my food with my coat on Being a vegetarian and it being Tuesday, my only option for a main was mushroom tacos. I don't like mushrooms, so I had to have some sides as my main. I think this needs to be reviewed. Halfway through our food, my husbands plates were then cleared away. Yes, he had finished his food but I was still eating. I find this rude. To top this off while eating, the staff stated talking about moving tables around in the quiet area we were sitting in. It felt as though we were in the way. While the food was tasty, the service and atmosphere weren't great. It's such a shame

Excellent authentic Turkish food. Delicious borek (filo pastry with spinach and feta) hot meze to start and a great vegetable stew with rice and salad for main course. Great vegetarian food. Beautifully presented, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. I’m now a regular since moving to Gloucestershire!

Was in Stroud for a mooch around the Antique places. Fancied Fish and Chips, came across this little place tucked away out of the main shopping centre. Had large fish and small chips which was £11 which is about what you would pay anywhere. The fish was a good size and cooked to order and the chips also freshly cooked, it was a lovely fish & chips, one of the better ones that I have had. Would definitely visit again if in the town.

It is unfortunate I have to write this review after being one of Tomari G’s biggest fans previously. We arrived Friday evening to extremely bad service and without half the menu available. The waitress basically ignored us for 20 minutes. When she arrived they had no Rose wine. When we went to order they had no sushi ! One of the main reasons we visit!! We then asked for Salmon Poke Bowl, this was not available, We asked what was available the answer was just Ramen. I have also had a few friends visit who expressed there concern on the lack of menu available recently. I understand that this has happened since they have been taken over. We visited when it was the previous owners and it was amazing. My advice, try somewhere different. Nagomi in Cheltenham is amazing so we will be visiting that restaurant instead In future.

For mum s birthday was delicious and after being diagnosed gluten free with the dr the week before this was not a problem the cafe catered for myself and it was delicious my only sadness is I don’t live closer it’s a hour away out worth the drive and I’ll be back

Quirky and colourful café tucked away off Stroud High Street (so tucked away I didn’t know it was there!). Incredible range of vegetarian (and non-veggie) brunch items, including a specials board. Cakes looked amazing – with a decent choice of gluten free and vegan options (we were too full from brunch to taste them, but will go back). I opted for the goats cheese with sage honey and walnuts on sourdough, which looked amazing on Instagram but was mediocre in reality. The cheese was slightly warm but not melted at all and the bread was tough. I put down to being the busiest time on the busiest day of the week and will go back and try something different another time. Coffee was delicious.
