The best restaurants in Yate Central South Gloucestershire South West

A nice friendly little cafe for the over 50s. took my mum and dad in there, we felt very welcome, good place to rest and have a nice cup of tea and a biscuit.or coffee and a cake.

Popped in for a card and was pleasantly surprised to find a cafe area at the back offering breakfasts, light lunches and homemade cakes. Had a lovely coffee and a slice of carrot cake - will be back.

Very nice shop with seats outside, so you can sit and watch the world go by as you enjoy your coffee and snacks nicely decorated, good service, making you feel welcome and restful.

Fantastic atmosphere, lovely food, recommend the bubble and squeak, which was amazing. A quaint little eatery, but be prepared to queue unless you're happy to sit outside (with heaters) as it gets busy. Absolutely lovely place and a hidden gem in Yate.

Been here for lunch and evening meals. Very happy, friendly staff. Food is always great. Love the bannoffe pie. Have had pizzas and pasta dishes here. Have also had takeaway pizzas.

A very helpful lady served me and gave me a great meal with two side dishes .The place was very clean and tidy.i could,nt thank her enough for her expert help with my card.

So warm and hot place. Food is good and I can spend a day here.

Really good coffee and breakfast choices, very reasonable

I have a problem with my Costa app. Keeps coming up with ACK005. So although my points are on receipt, not on my app. Did lask butno one seem to know what to do. Otherwise good service. Just biscuits and coffee. Still problems with spp, so unable to have 30% off food etc. Always good service at my Local Costa.

Made my day! It’s been a brutal week at work, but gym session complete, time to hit the pub for a protein fix! The place is packed, I’m about to bail, but then I spot a free seat and grab it. Drink arrives, then – surprise! – the server plops a pizza straight into my lap! Now I'm sitting there, covered in pizza, waiting for my mix grill. Meanwhile, I get the joy of watching someone else get served that same pizza that was just chilling in my sweaty lap. 10/10 experience, would definitely return – but maybe next time, I’ll keep the pizza off my thighs.

Had a breakfast with a mate here ,quick service good food this is a popular pub just had a lunch and beer today and again very quick service and nearly a full pub.

Wow! I just can’t thank everyone enough from tonight. This is a local of mine and I go to quite frequently so would always be on the list to use for an occasion, but this held special memories of my mum and dad’s wedding anniversary 25 years ago and we chose to have it again for my mother’s 50th birthday. Paul was amazing to deal with in organising the Buffet and room hire for a reasonable price too! On the day we were allowed to set up and decorate very early which was fantastic and really helped elevate the stress of getting it done before a certain time. The staff were amazing, so helpful and attentive accompanied by a friendly smile. It’s great to see staff enjoy themselves as well as the invitees. Katie of particular note offering a great service in the private bar upstairs. The manager was honest about the buffet saying to not cater for all as there was a lot of food. There was plentiful whilst catering for over 10 less than expected- I was chucking food at anyone who could have it by the end! A great selection of quiches, sandwiches, crisps, nuts, pizza etc was all served and ready for us when wanted. I can’t thank the team enough for making this run as smoothly as possible. I honestly could not recommend this place highly enough for anyone looking for a hall with catering for an event.

When we visit Yate we always like to go to Boswells the food is always lovely and the staff are always helpful. They have plenty of staff and they all seem to be happy in their work. Tables are always cleaned and when observing I see that the staff are always on hand to help people that need a hand taking drinks to their tables and anything they need. The restaurant has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and I liken it to a community meeting place. Lovely tasty food well cooked with a great choice and always a welcoming smile from the staff, which makes a huge difference to feeling welcome. Thank you to all I look forward to our next visit.
