Wetherspoon in South Gloucestershire

Very weird. Lunch time and only 1 person behind bar. Single line queue of people waiting. Been to many pubs and haven’t ever queued for a pint. Felt more like an understaffed coffee shop

Love the brand just wish the food temperature was hotter, usually just warm!

Staff and food are great Just a shame no one does anything about people smoking in the non-smoking areas, which is really annoying if you are eating.

Jacket potato with bean chilli around a teaspoon of chilli I mixed in with potato as so dry no butter. I asked for a side of cheese and was given a cheese slice!!!! Not very nice at all. Place is very dirty tables piled with dirty plates

I ' ve ordered American burger and serve ideally warm with chips in a reasonable price at £5.44 included drink. Staff is cheerful and nice 👍

The girls that work on a morning behind the bar and served are great but was such a shame the other day ordered 3 poached egg in toast and they were cold. When young lad came to ask if everything was ok we started to say it was cold and before could finished he just said oh sorry about that and walked away so fast lol and didn't see him again.

Love the staff and great vibes. Food there is what it is.

Came to Yate to visit the spoons and have dinner. We weren't disappointed it was very nice indeed. Friendly staff and clean place to eat. Well done

Since food prices went up the quality of meals has gone down. There was a time you got a side salad with your steak meal. Now it's just steak and dry chips. I won't be wasting my money there again.

Pathetic. Got 2 stone cold breakfasts, took them back, zero apology/response/offer to replace.

The kitchen forgot about my food order. They claimed they didn't receive it but they bought me the drinks from the same order no problem. The app stated 5-8 minutes of waiting for food. I finally got it after 45 minutes, and it was cold and stale. I had to send it back to the kitchen. I waited another 6 minutes for the replacement meal, which was warmer. I was hoping for an upgrade/free-bee for my meal for the inconvenience but only received what I ordered. I'm not impressed.

I'm not a weatherspoons girl really, but popped in for neverending flat whites under £1.60 each and bacon sandwich each £10 for 2 people , can't complain at that!

Witherspoon it's all about the full English and a pint to aid recovery from the night before thats what they there for

Just got charged £4.40 for this 'Garlic pizza bread'. Was absolutely disgusting. When did weatherspoons stop being good value?

Bar tender is a jobsworth. Refused to give me my drink even tho I showed him I’m 21 And he stinks of body odour

I had fish & chips, it was mostly batter so won't be trying that again

Very disappointed with the welcome we received on arrival. My colleague and I visited with our Client who is a wheelchair user. The pub was quite busy but another customer pointed out a free table (28). The tables are quite close together and we asked one (yes, just one) customer if they would mind moving their chair to enable us the get the wheelchair through. They were more than happy to do so and we reached the table. A lady, cleaning tables, then rushed over and told us we should have pushed the wheelchair to the bar and around the other side and not asked people to move!! My colleague and I were both upset by this. We work with adults with learning disabilities and find most people to be kind and accommodating when we visit restaurants, cafes etc. This experience left us feeling saddened. When we finished our meals we had to move tables in order to get out via the route the woman had suggested. We won't be returning!

Very popular, good reasonably priced food and drinks. People have not returned quite as much after COVID. The quality and choice of the real ales are really quite good.

Filthy tables and menu. Burger was completely cold. Waitresses coughing in their hands then bringing food out.

Great selections of beverages and hot food at very reasonable prices. Also friendly staff and quick service.

Always get good meal in here. Order on therapy really quick. Had Christmas Dinner not bad and nice and hot. With alcoholic drink was just over £13.

It's spoons, you get what you'd expect but a cheap meal and decent fairly priced drinks

Prompt , friendly and professional service. Choice of breakfasts good value for money and good portions. Miners hollandaise differrant. Eggs hollandaise and black pudding. Mushroom hollandaise interesting too. Warm and airy.

Lovely place, and foodnis amazing but pay for what you get, recently I had a steak that was under cooked for what I ordered, staff kindly took it back and made a fresh one very kind and fast.

Kind of hard to describe this place. It feels like as if McDonald's bought an English Pub and this is what you got.

Situated in Yate shopping centre this is a standard Spoons with everything you expect on the menu. Service was good and the food arrived quickly. Would recommend to anyone who likes the Spoons food.

Excellent prices for draught beer backed up with great bar service. Real ale dispensed at the correct temperature into a pint glass at the full pint measure. Food served direct to the table in a timely manner.

Had a meal and drink inside, but my table and the menus needed a good clean. I think it needs a overall to freshen the place up.

This is a great place to have a bite to eat. And it's cheap and quick, as long as it isse't full.

This place proves that not all wetherspoons are the same. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The main difference was the apparent quality of the food. Let's face it you don't expect cordon bleu level food but what was served was really well cooked and presented. It was served with a smile. The App is brilliant. Recommend this place for great value.

Always have a jacket potato with a filling & enjoy it. Great to have a free coffee refill aswell

I ordered the naga chilli chicken vindaloo curry. I was really impressed. It actually had some kick to it. Tasty too. Very good value.

Good basic food at a reasonable price

It was very busy and very noisy. This was the only reason for the four star rating, so not their fault. The food was typical pub grub and very reasonably priced. Once ordered, it was served very quickly. The food was presented well, and the quantity was good for a lunchtime meal. They checked that we were happy with our food, too. Would definitely go again when there.

Food average but can't be beaten for warmth free WiFi unlimited drinks and price....a real bargain place if you can find a seat.!

A well appointed pub on the edge of the thriving shopping centre. Good selection of beers, lagers and cider. Food is good and the staff are friendly and efficient. Worth a try.

The forget so butter for jacket potato and the forget the fried egg for mixed grill. The steak wasn’t very good. The drinks were good. The staff did sort out very quick. But think I will only come in here for drinks and not food.

Nice food great staff especially the lady who was serving the food didn't get her name but like me she had gray hair in a ponytail she deserves a recognition fir her hard work while we ate lunch she cleared tables spoke to customers made you fill welcome sad that I didn't catch her name..

Good for quick basic food,drink is cheap worth a visit recommended

i have just been served an undercooked ground beef burger meal at this branch..i requested full refund for the meal however was only initially offered a partial refund. as i had sipped the drink that was included with the meal. i made the point to the manager that i was sending the entire meal back including the drink as i felt physically sick. Eventually they refunded entire cost but not before the manager tried to insist that eating raw beef was absolutely fine and safe either way ..I wish to educate the manager that this is not the case and perhaps he needs to attend a food hygiene refresher course. Raw and undercooked meat may carry harmful bacteria including AMR bacteria. When meat is minced, harmful bacteria from the surface of the raw meat are mixed throughout the whole piece. Thorough cooking of meat including burger patties and steaks can reduce the risks of food poisoning and acquiring bacteria with AMR.

Food was mediocre steak ok but lots of fat ,my friend had to go up and get the steak sauce herself,cocktails were very nice

Fantastic, I had the glazed 1/2 roast chicken, if your prepared to pull it apart with your fingers you'll thoroughly enjoy it. Oh and the staff were nice and friendly as well.
