The best restaurants in Poole Town Poole South West

I walked into the store late Sunday afternoon. The door was open, no signs that the coffe shop is closed. A barrista was serving another customer. Without any greeting or apology, he just blurped out: "We close. We closed, Mam. " I left the shop, while another customer was still beeing served. The store either should have cloze doors or serve all customers equally.

Ordered a takeaway at 6.45 for delivery at 8.15... 8.45 still no food. Called and was told it would be at least another half an hour, so at least 2 and a half hours from order time!!!No discount offered, no notification that it would be late-very late. If I could've cancelled and got something else quicker I would've. Very disappointed with the service,and customer service.

Popped in for a quick lunch on day trip to Poole, as cafe looked very neat and tidy and menu appealing. Turned out to be a good choice. We had a toasted panini and cheese and onion quiche with salad. Both excellent. Efficient and friendly service. Sorry we did not have time to call later for one of the cakes! Great asset to the town.

Shakeaway have always been lovely and friendly. However, a new woman has become manager (older lady with grey hair, black glasses, grey hoodie. Not even in uniform!) and she is incredibly rude to not only staff but customers as well. She has a go at a newer staff member in front of a shop full of people as well as me because I was transferring money between accounts. She also decided to tell a staff member she wasn’t allowed to do an allergen-specific shake because she didn’t trust her, that she would just do it herself. What a poor manager? What a poor service.

I've been a regular customer to hortons over the years, but today's service was so bad I won't be using them again. I get a 45 minute lunch break.. 15 minutes of that was spent waiting to order because they had a family of 5 place an order before me and clearly couldn't cope with a group order. After finally ordering, 5 minutes goes by before I'm told they can't do my food so I said no problem I'll just have the milkshake then that I had ordered... another 15 minutes goes by and I still don't have my milkshake. At this point I have 10minutes left of my lunch break, so I proceeded to walk out and and quickly ordered some food from premier bites opposite. I never did get my milkshake from hortons or able to get a refund as no one was attending the till even after I had ordered and collected a hot panini from Premier bites... Hortons has gone down hill ever since the kids took over. On the other hand I can recommend premier bites opposite. Lots of love the RJ lift engineer.

Awful. The service was absolutely terrible. Their chips are not cooked in hot enough oil and are soggy, sense and very greasy. Dont tell them though. Even nicely. You'll be met with nothing but smug sarcasm and told that you're being dishonest. I explained they were a little greasy. They replied "our chips aren't greasy, we drain them." I explained that I prefer them a bit crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They replied "if they're crunchy on the outside and fluffy inside then they are French fries." "All chip shop ships are soggy" which of course isnt true. If you explained that you've had them somewhere they will tell you to go there instead then. And if you leave them constructive feedback, they just reply sarcastically "thankyou for your kind words." Bunch of short Bob Karen's with attitude to match. I wouldn't touch the place with a wrecking ball.

Saksham, who we took our order with, was one of the most polite and patient people I've ever been served by. He had no objection to any of our specifications and served us with a smile on his face despite our lengthy ordering time. We had a slight misunderstanding about one of our items which would have led to us being overcharged but he acknowledged the mistake and corrected it, even giving us extra toppings free of charge! Absolutely phenomenal service... thank you Saksham! Aside from that this restaurant is our favourite dessert place and we love to come here. While a little expensive, the desserts are huge and unrivalled in how delicious they are. The atmosphere is calming with pretty lights and laid-back music; it's a great place to relax and enjoy a sweet treat with family. I highly recommend coming in-person as opposed to getting it delivered, though. Most of the bad reviews seem to result from Uber/Just Eat/etc. taking their time and letting the food melt/go cold, which really isn't the restaurant's fault (although you might end up with smaller portions when ordering delivery because they use different dishes and crockery when serving in-house).

I have never been disappointed here. Good, fresh fish, nice crispy batter, decent chips and good portion sizes. Recommended.

My nephew and his friend went to this pub on NYEs. They were asked to leave for causing a disturbance by an unofficial contract member of staff, who would not explain what they had done wrong or let them back in to collect a coat and mobile phone. I took my nephew back the next day to collect his coat and phone and ask what had happened for them to be asked to leave. We were given the coat, but no phone. The license owner was uncontactable and the manager on duty had no idea what had happened or where the phone had gone. Since then I have tried to get more information and understanding of what happened, but with very little success. The licensee has been absolutely no help at all and not made contact with me or been available to discuss compensation for the phone being taken on his premises, whilst he was in charge and for letting a non authorised contract worker throw someone out of the pub with no explanation and refusing to let them retrieve their property or get it himself. I am going to escalate this with the brewery who manage this pub and share my disgust in how these new owners are managing their pub My husband and I used to use this pub all the time when Anna was the land lady, but not sure we will be going back in the future.

You can park free for two hours as long as you register. Staff friendly. Coffee good. Close to the water.

Great service, a sweet lady named holly was very nice to everyone present and another man I believe his name was Dave was very nice to us and even offered us a free drink as we had been in a few times before, definitely going again

Rude surely staff Delivery trolly blocking isle Lady with purple/red hair demanded that we used the self service machine although the man that came in next paid at the till so stupid as we wanted drinks and food to go - twice! not what you want to experience on the way to an appointment - staff need training on customer service!

15 minutes of trying to get the machines to work I have given up and gone to a different restaurant. Staff trying to help but trying to fix screens and make sandwiches with only 2 staff.

They do Vegan and non vegan food, the staff are very helpful and considerate, I had Lasagna with vegetables and garlic bread all for £5.95 the portion was generous and very tasty, would recommend, shame we found the place on our last day in Poole!
