Very busy, but great service and food was great.

Since the refurbishment this is a lovely place to eat drink and be merry. The atmosphere is wonderful and the food is amazing could not fault it. We moved seats over three times to get a comfy booth but in that time I lost my phone!!! Panic ensued but luckily for me a very kind member of the public had handed it in and what a massive relief it was as you can imagine!! The manager and all his staff were very very helpful and my phone was handed in and the manager was able to return it to me. It totally made our day. I would like to thank them all for their help. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful place to put your feet up and enjoy a very relaxing atmosphere plus the food is delicious. Many thanks again to all the staff for all their help in returning my phone and making our visit one we’ll remember 😊

Wetherspoons is easy, cheap and cheerful. It is very much a hit n miss at this place or any spoons for that matter when it comes to food. I usually go for the chicken bites or the southern fried wrap as i know its usually decent. I thought i would try the "new" sharwarma wrap, very dissapointed. Told the waitress about it and she didnt seem to care that it came out with hardly anything inside and just said thats how it comes, then left us to it. Measley amount of lettuce and literally a sprinkle of shredded thigh chicken. Tasted okay. I bought some chicken bites to add inside to bulk it out. (Added a picture of it opened up, i literally took a bite) Never ordering that again and will just stick to the chicken nuggets next time.

First visit, very clean, very pleasant and reasonably priced meals. Very nice outside erea , situated not far from main shops or seafront. Weatherspoons, all ways worth a vist.

We stopped for lunch before heading back to London. We found a table but had to ask for it to be cleared and then we were asked if we wanted it wiped clean !! Standard Weatherspoons pub. We ordered but struggled to pay as till crashed. We were then taken to another till but there were still issues with our order but eventually we paid and gor our food

We met with an ex-neighbour. After a coffee ordered some lunch, an all-day brunch , small ham egg and chips for my wife and a Christmas dinner for me. Arrived fairly quickly and everything OK until near the end of my meal, something tasted funny. Then in the evening had severe diarrhea which lasted a couple of days... Went to the doctors and she prescribed food poisoioning. Can't precisely attribute it to that, but someone else has had a meal that tasted funny but spat it out without any dire consequences.

Looks nice after the refurbishment. More light in the pub. Not so dark.

Great refurbishment, however we were disappointed. We could not order via the app so proceeded to the bar, speed of service was slow and the server wasn’t particularly welcoming. We ordered ham, egg and chips (lovely) and a bbq chicken “melt” (not so lovely!) I think some basic spec training is required in the kitchen to meet customer expectations.

Visited The Lord Wimborne a Weather spoons Pub... right in the Centre of Poole town used to be The Library back in the day. We had lunch and drinks. Lots of tables to choose from and order your chosen meal at the bar and pay. Wheelchair friendly and disabled toilet on ground floor. Food was good and reasonably priced also drinks well priced. Many meals included drinks check menu when you want to order. Worth a visit if in Poole.

Popped in to the Lord Wimborne this morning for the large breakfast.Quite a long queue to place order,this was due to only one person behind the bar taking the orders. Not a very long wait for the food to arrive and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of food on the plate,very good value for money I’d say,costing around £6.90. Now this is where everything took a nosedive.After finishing my breakfast I decided to go outside with my mug of tea for a cigarette.As I went outside I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.Empty dirty beer glasses,some half full of flat beer,dirty coffee mugs and on one table a pile of damp chips,not on a plate but just dumped on top of the table,it looked as if there had been a party outside the night before and nobody could be bothered to clear the mess up,it looked disgusting. I then,before leaving went to the gents toilets only to find more rubbish on the floor there. I don’t know but maybe the Lord Wimborne is in need of a few cleaners as well as more bar staff. Everything really was ok just until I went outside,and then it all came tumbling down.

Was a busy lunchtime and we visited in a group of 7 for food. We found a table, ordered food via the app and it was all on the table within 20 mins. Super quick food and all cooked well - no complaints there. The restaurant was really messy though, almost all of the tables needed to be cleared but we just took all plates up to the bar that were on pur table when we arrived and that didn't really bother us. Will definitely go back as 7 people all had a main meal and a drink for £70 - amazing value

Extremely disappointed after a trip out from Salisbury to enjoy a spoons that had been recommended to us to find there was no real ale on sale and the barman then tried to fob me off with drink I hadn't ordered so on asking for a refund an extremely non plus supervisor finally made the refund after a sarcastic remark when I said this wasn't the service I expected from a wetherspoons establishment

Quite the innocuous pub tucked away in plain site - I think I walked past it twice before realising what it was! Anyway, a typically organised (and clean) spoons over one level wit h plenty of space to wander about in. It's good inside and I think the entrance (at least one of them) was good for wheelchair access. The breakfast was superb as always as was the wake up coffee that was essential at tat time of day. The staff were wonderful and funny (had a bit of chat with one of the bar staff - excellent chap) and the sneaky early Guinness was brilliant. Thanks guys (and gals)

I visited just the other day and loved it. The woman that served me called Gina was so loving and polite. Making the experience worth visiting and would go again. Gina also made the best drinks :) 10/10

This was just for a quick pint. Comfortable surroundings and friendly staff. The beer was good. It is on my list to visit again, and discover more of the history of a former library turned "Spoons!"

Food was good, but limited for gluten-free available that day. Busy but pleasant atmosphere. Will revisit next time.

I am very pleased that they had a Simple Curry option. I am taking tablets that turn fat and oil into diarrhea. The last time I ate poppadoms, it wasn't a pleasant experience. No naan bread? And how much do you save? It is not the same. £12.55 compare with £10.31 Add naan bread: Can't do! Meal rating 3 down from 4. I am a hard man. I should be cutting out the alcohol too.

It's a weatherspoon, expect to queue to get seated or served as there seems to be far to many customers and very few staff . Even if you just want a drink expect to queue

New management needed ? Beer garden a disgrace!!! Service slow due to bad management organisation, not the staff !! I have run bars and this place is dirty and unorganised!! One year on and nothing changed ha ha bird poo on tables and chairs outside !! Change the manager .....

Visited today for lunch.lovely fish.chips Peas..friendly fast service. The pub could do with better lighting as very dingy.

Ceiling was leaking whilst we were waiting for food. Above us were the toilets. We diverted our meals to our new table but our drinks never arrived. After we finished we had to ask for then and found them sitting at the end of the bar. Not the best experience

I am becoming somewhat of a regular here purely because the outdoor area is so chill. Inside is fine too, not that I've really checked it out other than the bar and the gents but yeah nah this place is alright mate. In the recommended tabs it only lists food. I recommend beer for this particular establishment however there are no options to recommend that, only food. £4.22/pint for flat punk ipa

The cocktails were excellent and affordable. The atmosphere was the best part. I would suggest having your drink outside. There were different varieties of cocktails.

Everything ok. Food is above average for the price. And it's good that you get a free pint with your meal

It's Wetherspoons 90% of the food is the same in all of this chains pubs this one needs more staff sometimes the foods cold sometimes the foods warm very seldom hot but it is what it is and it's cheap . With very weird shaped eggs

The woman with the glasses, fringe and red hair was rude and seemed like an unapproachable woman. She kept telling our group to leave because one had too much to drink even though we was sat outside and the rest of us were fine. She could of said it in a nicer way. I guess the food tasted good and the cocktails were nice though shame about the grumpy woman ruining our night bombarding us all of the time.

We were in twice in one day. Visited Poole for the festival. Food was ok, could have been better.

have no idea how to cook a steak(might've been microwaved), ask for medium rare and get well done, sent it back and got a MAYBE medium at best. chefs need to go back to culinary school and poor waiters have to take the blame for it, never coming back

Great setting. Lots of outdoor seating in the sun.

First order of food had to be sent back as only served warm, not hot. Waitress was very good, and provided a second order which was fine. Only 1 coffee machine available, but was only giving half cups. Reported this but they were unable to rectify. We use Weather spoon's quite a lot. But not impressed tonight.

The cutlery was dirty and the food was cold and had to be returned. Afternoon (2pm - 5pm) menu was virtually the same price as the rest of the menu. Much better places in Poole to eat at for the same price.

Absolute rubbish, we were a table of 6 , we all ordered food on the app, about same time, 3 of us got our meals quite quickly, the others didn't, apparently one item on the order was not available, this should have shown up on the app, these waited at least another 20 mins for food, when mine arrived was warm not hot, same as my friends, When server asked why app not updated about unavailable food, just ignored. Also two cups of tea ordered and took an hour for cups to arrive, Overall really poor service & food.

Beware of short measures on the real ales ,glass served was more than 1/2" short from top of the glass. l feel this is unacceptable in a standard glass by a team leader.

This is the worst place I have ever been the food tasted dreadful and the the precentasion of the food was really really bad hardly no chips I would never suggest this place to anyone as I will never step foot in this place again not happy one bit

after a long Absence I decided to try Wetherspoons. No improvement . Que at coffee machine ten deep . By the time I produced my half cup the breakfast was cold on the table nothing wrong with the food just lukewarm to cold After finishing my coffee I went for a refill as the q is beside the bar I complained Manager said a machine was broken “ Sorry Pal” his words no effort made by manager to improve the Q situation. An atmosphere of dissatisfied customers . As for this review “Sorry Pal “ or sorry Sir I hope this will improve your service .

As usual, the elongated bar had one person with zero recollection of who was first to be served.

Not the best Weatherspoons, but not the worst. I had a meal and a couple of pints. I asked the barmen if i could keave two cans of drinks on the bar fridge whilst i had my meal. He saon NO. They only put drinks which are for sal in the fridges. MEAN

Last time we visited this pub the service was awful and the pub was dirty .We visited again last night , not expecting too much ... However it was a completely different experience. The pub was clean and tidy and the staff very friendly and efficient. Kyra gave excellent service very professional and friendly. Thanks to all the staff for a completely different experience than oue previous visit.

The Fish and Chips are delicious and such a large beautiful beer garden. Through the beer garden 10 meters away is Sainsburys, how good it that!

Having a kitchen refurb atm so can't rate the food. Nice atmosphere and comfortable to be in there out of the rain

Popped in for a cheeky half and was served promptly by a friendly member of staff. Probably one of the cleaner spoons I’ve seen with staff attending to the cobwebs outside too

Went here for ease, due to recent Illness and can’t walk too far, as was going to go to the JD on the Quay. Reluctant to go but suited needs with young children at that time. Ordered food on the app which is good as can stay with children. Received food and one meal ordered was the Cod fish and chips. The meal arrived and what can only be a thin piece of batter with slim pickings around the small sides!?! As would anyone, we asked to replace it as there was no meat on it. It was replaced but again the same looking fish. Asked for a refund and was met with a belligerent female wearing glasses behind the bar stating along the lines of “ you haven't even cut into it. It looks alright to me!” I don’t think it was her place to say this and she basically was refusing me a refund as it “looked alright and there’s bits of fish around the sides”. A lady stood at the bar looked at the plate and said what any normal person would think “that doesn’t look good at all. No fish on that”. The bar girl with glasses stated that she could do anything about it! Honestly, the service received by here was awful. It was made to feel as if it was our fault the dish wasn’t to expectation. She finally got her manager but he only refunded for the meal and not even the coffee as a good will gesture for the appalling state of the meal presented. Even the girl who served the meal that day said there had been previous complaint of the fish!!! I still have not received the refund into my bank as yet. Will never go back to this JD again. It’s a shame the one on the Quay is due to shut as that is much better down there!! Maybe they can swap the bar staff with a nicer person. This female is a “team leader”. Would be nice if she took some customer service classes. Would not recommend the food or service here. Best go to the quay, better all round there with a view.

There are 2 spoons in Poole this one is away from the quay and does not have the views but far better service. A spoons that that only takes a few minutes to serve the meal, and actually clears the table once you are finished

Wetherspoons #120 visited. A large branch in the centre of Poole, just off the High St and not too far from the Train Station. Ordered a 12" Southern Fried Chicken Wrap, Chips and a pint of Weston's Rose's Pig Tropical Cider, which was currently on as part of the south western region 'Craft Cider Festival'. Total cost was £9.82. Ordered at the bar on this occasion, as I wanted to establish the festival ciders were included with the 'with a drink deal'. Was served at the bar also immediately. So no issues with bar service, or wait times. Food arrived within the ten minutes food service time that Wetherspoons aims for. No complaints with food when it arrived. There is a price difference between the 10" and 12" wraps, for which there isn't a huge amount of difference in size. For the filling I had - Smokey Southern Fried - The 12" has three chicken goujons, rather than two in the 10". The 12" looks bulkier and is cut in two. The chip portion isn't much bigger for the increased price either. The 10" wrap with chips and pint would have been £7.81 Vs £.9.82 I paid for the larger wrap. Although looking at the menu in general, the food prices were a little higher than what I'm used to paying at my local in 'the shires'. Recommend a visit to this branch if in the area and don't want to break the bank on food and drink.

went to go order a bloody beer and this is what they served me, i looked up and they smiled. joke service would come again for the breakfast and the birds!!!!!!

Clean tidy staff pleasant, food Excellent

This is probably the worst wetherspoons I have set foot in. Its dirty, messy and always full of kids with their benefit claimant mothers screaming and running riot whilst the staff just let them continue. The area towards the bar is always littered with drunks all day, very unsavoury characters. Much the same can be said for the rear garden. Drunken feral scum shouting and screaming at one another. Its just a generally unpleasant and unsafe vibe to the pub. Staff are pleasant but slow at clearing tables leaving any vacant tables generally full of empty plates and glasses, that's if you can sit down without getting stuck to the chair. I live in Poole but never go to this spoons. The one on the quay is a lot nicer, just a shame its closing when it's this one that should be!

Just another weather spoons. You know what you're getting. On par with all others. Great staff!

Ordered the mixed grill, absolutely awful. Spoons used to be a great place for an inexpensive meal with a beer or soft drink, now with cut backs and price rises the mixed grill was awful. Scrappy Grissel ridden piece of so called lamb, a piece of gammon no larger than the size of a match box and a piece of so called steak half the size of a credit card. A sausage which was fine,one mushroom size of a 50p piece and a totally destroyed and burnt half tomato. I'm not exaggerating any of this I promise. In my opinion if you're going to do something then do it properly and charge accordingly,but this was a waste of time and money. Also just to mention my partner wanted a spritz drink ... Not in stock,so she ordered a small bottle of prosecco, they only had rosé. So she had that, later went to order another one ,was informed she had the last one. At this point we gave up and left, definitely won't go back for food. My partner had the crispy chicken stripes which were fine, mind you you can't mess that up . After all it is only fried.

Food came very quick after ordering which is great and everything was nice apart from the fact one of my two mushrooms was undercooked and partially solid/dry still. But last time I ate, here the mushrooms were fine so only that but everything else was super :)

In spite of the large outdoor area dogs are not welcome. The staff failed to tell us this, even when we said we were outside because of the Dog. After our food was delivered the manager came out and informed us that dogs were not allowed. To give him his due he did allow us to finish our food but we did then feel very uncomfortable about having our (very well behaved) dog sitting under our table. We could not wait to leave.
