Terrible. Take your sleeping bag as the wait takes a few hours. Turned up at 7pm and left with the order at 7:50pm.

Robinsons has been our go to for fish and chips. Previously we have had amazing tasty faultless food. Unfortunately the food we had tonight was not up to their usual “scratch”. The chips were not great, fish was tasteless and felt like plastic, the batter was soggy and oily, it needed a lot of ketchup to help with the taste and even then we couldn’t eat it all. What we did manage to eat upset some of our stomachs so hasn’t been a pleasant evening. The staff were pleasant. I walked in having ordered it online to find them packing it all up for me so that’s what the stars have been awarded for but unfortunately the food on this occasion was not worthy of any.

We still go to Robinson's once or twice a week, with the food being lovely and hot, tasty and delicious. I have scampi or chicken bites with a children's chip and sometimes a spice Irish curry sauce. My husband goes for large or medium fish and medium potion of chips. Sometimes we have to go to another fish and chip shop in East Howe or Kinson Road when Robinson's are close for holiday or a day when we want fish and chips and it their day off, however, we still like Robinson's more than the other two and our first choice on a Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Robinson's Fish and Chip Shop is next door to the Charity shop and the Bearwood Pharmacy with Co-op being at the other other end next to the Charity Shop and the doctor Surgery is behind the shops. There is 2 Access Bays for Disabled people, the shop door always open inwards with plenty of room for Wheelchairs and scooters to turn around the shop with seating for people to wait for their order. We usually go online to ordered and when we get to Robinson's the order is ready for collecting or you might have to wait a few minutes. you can also phone through your order and walk in to order as well, which might take a bit longer to wait for your orders. Look forward to going back next week?

Went to order my food and the lady said it would take 10 minutes and to wait outside. I did this and was called in 25 minutes later. They spilt the curry sauce, tutted when i asked for salt and vinegar. I suggested that if they had told me the correct waiting time it would help manage the customers expectations. I was met with a lady shouting at me to say i was rude. Quite an unpleasant character.

The staff are always so friendly and accommodating. The food is always excellent and still hot once I drive 5 miles home. Better than any of my local fish and chip shops. Would highly recommend the mixed seafood basket!!

Normally given our last few visits I would have rated Robinsons at Bearwood with a 4/5. Unfortunately our last visit, 28th Nov, it only rated at best a 2 and that was for the friendly service. The fish was poorly cooked and the batter although fairly crisp on the outside was almost liquid on the inside and was uneatable. Hopefully it was a one off.

I Wrote a review in April 2017, and I have not changed my mind about the food here, as it is Excellent and tastes delicious when we get it home. I go in on a Friday or Saturday evening for fish, sausage, fishcake and chips with curry sauce. We have to wait, as other people are ordering and other 10 to 20 minutes to receive our order, because it is cooked fresh to order. When you have ordered your meal, they give you a number and call it out when it is ready, We sometimes phone through our order and it is ready when we get to King John Avenue in Bearwood, as are in the Bear Cross area. I will back soon for a treat? My mum and her friend go every two weeks for fish and chips and they love it there, so please give the Team a chance, as they have been awarded The Best Fish and chips in the Area. Friendly staff, to serve you and also good at frying the food. I give them ten out of ten for Excellent food, good service and friendliness at all times. The fish and chip Shop is accessible for Disabled people.

Staff are rude especially the old woman whom I think is David Dickinsons long lost sister. More hair colours than a rainbow. Unprofessional front of house. Smoking outside then straight serving food. Handling money then serving food. You know more about their private lives than an episode of Eastenders and I’ve not even got to the food yet. I’ll just say we’d rather drive to another one 15 minutes away than go to this one on our doorstep. Avoid at all costs and that’s if they’re open

I popped into Robinsons tonight. My view is the same as the other couple of times that I have been to the shop this year.I know it is personal preference but in my view the chips are not cooked for long enough.Also, there were about five members of staff but it still took ten minutes to receive my order. I do not buy into this 'cooked freshly' rhetoric. I have been to much busier chip shops and been served in half the time with less staff. This needs looking at.On a positive note, the staff are friendly and helpful.

It's really great to have one of the best fish and chip shops close by. Wonderful cod and chips without the taste of cooking oil. The customer who rated this establishment as terrible is either not genuine or has some axe to grind unrelated to the food served. Give it a try you won't be disappointed.

Fui a Robinsons, fish and chips una tarde por Semana Santa, después de algunas bebidas en el club social y Bearwood era bastante hambre, así que mi parada en este lugar marido para salchichas y patatas fritas, que era muy agradable. Llegamos 10 minutos antes de la hora de cierre y estaban dispuestos a servir mi marido y estaban contentos con mi cena. Llegué a casa y vi que estaba en dos bolsas y me pusieron la dos bolsas separadas en mi plato y no estaba en absoluto y me greasey no soy un amante de patatas fritas, sin embargo, fueron para mi gusto y sin duda volveremos a tratar en el futuro.

This has got to be the worst fish and chips that I have had in years. Couldn't find the fish amongst all the batter! chips were soggy and tasteless. Cannot understand how they achieved the award they claim to have.

Visited these premises after seeing the shop in the echo fully lived up to my expectations they thoroughly deserve this award great staff and service lovely fish & chips

WOW is all I can say, the service was outstanding, such friendly people. The fish and chips was out of this world. I came to the shop from the article that was put in the paper and it certainly lived up to its standards.
