Costa Coffee in Poole

COSTA experience itself delightful. Spent just over 2 hours and happily drinking coffee and chatting to another elderly friend. I'm 85 and a bit lonely, so these little meet-ups are important. HOWEVER, today I have received a £45 fine (if paid in 2 weeks) for parking in the car park outside! I NOW - too late! - am told I could have parked for free for 30 minutes and then got an extention..... if only I'd known to ask at Costa!! We HAD intended to make this a regular venue, but now....

We visit this costa every week and its always an enjoyable experience. The staff are friendly and helpful and make great coffee. It's also one of the more quiet Costa, though still busy for size, and we always find space to sit and enjoy.

Pleasant staff, clean toilets. Normal Costa fare.

Very friendly staff and super clean. Worth noting carpark is 30 minutes only but iPad in costa lets you enter your number plate to extend that to 2 hrs.

As usual good coffee served by friendly staff in a relaxing atmosphere.

Love a costa coffee and this particular location is beautiful, nice and clean. The service was very smooth and polite. My Mocha was served to me with love. I would deffo recommend this place.

3 staff, 2 chatting to friends while customers wait . Coffee slopped down side of cups as being rushed. Won't be going back. Very disappointing.

I tried a different Costa caffe, I was looking for a place where I could finish some work and study a bit, with my surprise the employees were absolutely amazing, professional, and extremely kind, all place was confortable and lighter, i was able to do most parts of my tasks in pace. It would be nice having more choices of healthy vegan food, not just chocolate.

Ordered coffee & Breakfast from here for 3 of us, coffee’s arrived but no food!, driver said that it was just the toasties they didn’t have but when we looked there was none of the food we ordered. no refunds issued by costa and when we tried to contact costa their phone line doesn’t work.

Friendly branch of Costa Coffee only a few minutes walk from High Street shops in Poole.

Called in today, and Maisie made me and my wife's lattes, we have drank in costa all over the UK, it was by far the best we have had. She even bought the drinks to our table. Give the girl a promotion

Coffee and Panini was lovely but the subsequent £90 fine for the visit as took slightly more than the 30mins parking spoiled it massively

Excellent drink, gender neutral bathroom which is always a plus as a trans person, and not too loud

Always have great coffee, staff friendly and good location.

Was told the day before that they would be opened at 9 am the next morning (Sunday).. we arrived dead on 9 as we had trains to catch home.. waited a while, no one came.. as we stayed in the hotel above we went back to our room.. while watching from the hotel window to see if anyone was going to turn up we saw at least 6 customers turn up and walk away.. A guy then turned up at 9.20 to open up..

My drink was Luke warm and not hot as asked for

Coffee shop not very clean. I had to clean table before use. Floor also dirty. Greasy smears on windows. Coffee weak and tasteless ( flat white) Staff however we’re cheerful and friendly.

My sister ordered a hot white chocolate, please see images, my drink has made me feel ill also, not quite sure what’s going on, only serving in take away cups, very odd.

***You only get 30 mins free parking*** I was of the understanding you got an extension to the Free Parking for being a Costa customer and entering your vehicle’s registration. You don’t! SMART PARKING are the usual private car parking company. No one to talk to, only automated payment, or an appeal, and don’t bother with that! Costa couldn’t even be bothered to reply with an automated ‘Thank you for contacting customer service’ email. Staff inside were less than helpful too. Not a happy Costa customer. 30 mins to queue, order, receive your order and consume! 0 Stars

I ordered Terrys Chocolate orange hot choc, skinny hot choc a mocha. After asking for my order a number of times, she started to make the drinks, then walked away and passed it onto two other members of staff, there was a queue by now but they were just all faffing around instead of each having a certain job. The mocha was ok, when they made the Orange hot choc, they ran out of cream after half a squirt, the guy making it just handed to another member of staff & walked off. I said I wanted more cream on it so it actually looked like the picture, she tried the cream again & said "Oh it's empty, I will have to fill it" looking at me blankly. I said yes could you refill it. She then just wandered away again! The guy returned & I again asked for more cream, which he got out if the fridge, problem solved! But my skinny hot chocolate was made with whole milk, I didn't bother to complain as I had lost the will ...

Hi, I went in to here today, ordered a Terry’s Hot Chocolate, skinny hot chocolate and a mocha. The mocha was fine but the Terrys one was a bit of a fluke: The girl at the till mixed up our order, passed it on to the other members of staff and gave us the order with little to no cream, we asked for more cream and they did but there was still hardly any cream on the drink. We then asked if they could add more but the staff member said they were out of cream and had the audacity to not get more cream. As we said, we asked for a skinny hot chocolate, but yet again, they did not make a skinny hot chocolate, instead it was a normal hot chocolate. This is not the first time I have complained about Costa, it’s disappointing. I would’ve preferred to go to Starbucks for a Frappuccino instead of this poor business work.

Coffee and panini good but beware of PARKING. I visit a lot of Costas and parking has always been free. My fault , I didn’t look for or see any signs for 30min max stay. After getting at ticket sent from SMART PARKING they photograph you in and out it was confirmed I stayed 9 mins over. I found my receipt for Costa which confirmed that after queuing I was in Costa eating lunch for about 25mins then left. Again I acknowledge that I was my mistake but a genuine one.. I was not abusing parking so contacted SMART PARKING to see if they were a fair company with a human side or a moneymaking machine. Unfortunately you’ve guessed it … a very expensive lunch. I’m more gutted that companies like SMART PARKING are still aloud work in this way in county that I love. Costa … not good for business or PR . If you’ve read this far … I feel better now !

Great coffee, snacks and service but going there by car is juts not worth the risk. The car park operator only allows 30 minutes for parking before levying a "charge" of £90. As my wife is using a currently using a combination of wheelchair and crutches and Costa have locked one of their entrances due to weather problems I'm reasonable sure we overstayed our "welcome" by a few minutes and am expecting this to the the most expensive Coffee break ever.

Great Costa. Good location with outdoor seating. Staff were plant and friendly and the drink was delicious. Great place to stop and get a drink.

This is a little jem the staff always are polite and friendly, Reece, Annable and Charlene were brilliant a asset to the company.

Great as usual, especially when they offer 50p drinks for the 50th birthday of Costa.

The coffee is not the best you can get better coffee out there but its good if you're in the area, wouldn't go out my way to go here, but its nice. Food is the best.

Great place to stop in the mornings on my cycle to work, coffee and hot chocolate is always good. Great to get the occasional free drink when collecting the points too..

The experience wasn't overly pleasant, positive notes first it was spotlessly Clean granted the place was trading as take away only what made it be bumped up to a second star, when I entered the arrows on the floor we not clear on which way to queue, took a maybe 2 minutes to get served what was understandable as the chap was making a hot meals to go, it took a very long time to be made about 9 minutes , however my order was made wrong as I asked for a gingerbread cappuccino I recieved a normal cappuccino I wouldn't have minded but where I asked for syrup I don't tend to ask for sugar either. So after being given my drinks I left and mde it to the car to where I realised my drink was incorrect I had to go back and get sugar because i couldn't waste more time as while I was waiting a large queue formed behind me. Like normally I would have spoken up but if I did it would have meant another customer would have had to wait longer for their stuff while I had a replacement order created.

Quiet store on a Sunday afternoon, fantastic for catching up, pricey drinks as usual.

Quiet, nice clean surroundings, staff helpful & I had a ruby hot chocolate which was yummy! Staff were very helpful with social distancing too

Glad to see Costa is now offering drinks and food in crockery and not disposable takeaway cups and bags again. Never understood why anyone would think that crockery is less safe. Very friendly service. Would be nice to see more Vegan options on the menu, it seems that since Covid the menu is somewhat reduced, with less Vegan food available, despite Covid being linked to animal abuse and slaughter this would actually be the time to increase your cruelty free menu?

Awful service. Even though we were the only people in there she had rung up the coffee order and asked for money before we had time to look at something to eat! Other than that she didn't acknowledge us. Rude and miserable, and it was not particularly clean, which is surprising in these times of Covid.

I have come here on frequent occasion and the staff are always polite, friendly & efficient. Highly recommend whether you want to have a chat inside or just get a takeaway.

Not sure how fresh those croissants were but colleagues didn’t seem bothered by the insects. Otherwise it’s quite a nice shop with staff trying their best.

Lovely black forest hot chocolate but the chocolate tiffin slice was bland and tasteless. A quieter Coasta to visit if you dont want the hustle and bustle of the one in town.

The area manager of the Poole store has a nice laptop. When I sat next to him I asked him about tea infusion and he didn't have a clue what I was on about. Was funny to see how training goes a long way.

Typical Costa in a good location with free parking for 30 mins as long as you register. Quick service from helpful staff. Quite spacious and good views of the world going by. Take care if you cross the road from the town centre as the controlled crossing lights are not quite long enough fro such a long walk.

They didn't have the toasties that we wanted and the drinks were warm not hot.

Although owned and run by Costa themselves, they did not advertise or offer their breakfast deal. They had the advertising boards stacked against a back-room wall, just not on show. Was this because they are next door to a motel and it's in their interest to sell higher priced items?? Or, just couldn't be bothered. Also, no receipt offered, and indifferent attitude. Coffee and toast/croissant was fine, so if the other aspects don't concern you it's OK.

A little outside town so often quite quiet and short queue

Probably the friendliest and most helpful Costa I've been too. Perfect for an early start with a decent bowl of porridge and excellent service.

i recently dropped by for a takeaway coffee and hot chocolate to get me on my long journey. The staff were great and friendly but the coffee and hot chocolate were too cool. This meant that it did not bring out the best flavour in the coffee. As I didn't try the drink until after I was on the road I did not get a chance to ask the staff to rectify the issue.

Fairly new Costa near Asda and the train station. Friendly staff and options of inside or outside dining. I would give 5 stars but parking is a challenge. 30 minutes only is allowed unless you park in the TravelLodge long stay and then you can validate it. No signs for ewhere this is?
