Visited a few weeks ago and won't be going back! The girl that served me couldn't be bothered, had terrible customer service and served me a frappe with half the ingredients missing. Such a shame because most costas I've been too are pleasant with kind staff.

Unfortunately the staff seem generally pre occupied with their own social life and gossip. The coffee at all costas is not good and very expensive. The food is mass produced and poor quality. Annoyingly Costa seems to have the nhs contracts sewn up so it’s in every hospital offering the same level of mediocre service and coffee

While I understand this is a hospital, and not all the public are here for anything other than minor ailments, it is however next to the cancer unit. Where grieving family members can, if needed a chance to take a beverage, and escape for a short while, before returning downstairs to comfort a seriously sick person. SO, to find a bunch of giggle happy teens, students or whoever they are behind the counter, joking, laughing, secretly insulting the customers, in a group, rather than attending the sticky tables, dirty floor and waste cups and paper food remnants is not a great image. Rude, ignorant staff, who slam your drinks down, without a care, while they discuss what they did, will do, or drink is disgusting. I accept the health of the general public is not their problem or issue. Empathy is though if you have to work in such close proximity to the unwell, or friends in such situations. Terrible staff, terrible dirty location.

The store was generally clean and tidy and there was a reasonable amount of seating available for customers to use. The staff were friendly enough but not over engaging and just communicated as little as they could and did not attempt to make conversation. My main reason for only giving three stars is that you don't appear to be able to get a pot of tea at this location which I found very disappointing giving how much you are paying for a tea bag in a paper cup compared to when I visit other Costa locations and get a real pot of tea in a proper cup which is what I was expecting so I guess if you don't care how your drink is served to you this location may well suit you but I could see no reason why they could not have served my beverage in a proper cup and teapot given that there were four staff members in attendance and they were far from busy so if Costa expect me to continue supporting this location they need to up their game by quite some margin.

Food is so so but I suppose it always will be for pre made and re heated food. New hot milkshakes are okay, mine was luke warm but tasted yummy. Nice and clean throughout and the most nicest staff especially for in a hospital, helping residents, patients and visitors as much as physically possible. Great job guys! 👍

Food was amazing. I did 4 stars for service as my hot chocolates order was not relayed to the drink barista's and other people drink orders that was ordered after mine, was made before mine was completed.

3 of us went to spend our coffee voucher. We were greeted by a young girl that struggled to make the vouchers work. Her coworker stepped in and struggled even more. Between 3 of is we had to pay £1.10 and after the forth attempt how to work the change out of £20 ,we still came away short of 70 pence. I won’t be going back for 70pence , we won’t be coming back purely because service was poor and attitude of the second girl was clearly unwelcoming and annoyed. Incompetent….full stop.

A bit disappointing. I had my first Too Good To Go Bag from here, and the app said to swipe when I was ready to collect. So I went inside and swiped. When collecting the item, the lady asked me to swipe in front of her, and I already did. She muttered under her breath, left to give me a bag while telling "you need to swipe in front of us". The app never states it so didn't do it. She plops the bag on the counter without even looking at me, and leaves. I understand there was a procedure from their end, but since the only info I was given prior was in the app, I followed those. Let's please not be rude to customers, especially in a hospital... I expected better

The barista that served me was very rude and continued her conversation moaning about her colleagues to other colleagues there. She was rude to me when the scanner wouldn't scan the Costa barcode on my app. I would suggest some customer service training.

Terrible...! No cups . No bubbles tea. Every day I'm going there to get coffee and bubbles tea for my grandmother. But every day I'm disappointed. Is nothing there....far away from minimum standards. Only small coffee. I'm not recommended that place. Ps. And people who worked there, they act like they working there as a punishment.... I'm definitely not coming back there. Thank you.

Poor customer services a poor quality food. No napkins, sauces to go with sausage barm, so it was very dry. Coronation chicken sandwich was very wet and like warm. The coffee was not even hot. The staff did not seem to care, just wanted your money. Over all a very expensive and bad experience.

Great selection to choose from and lovely hot coffee. The guy on the till Dean was very polite and helpful he is a credit to your team.

Awful experience today. All three girls were miserable, inpatient and rude. Girl serving (Cat or Cal?) was the worst, no greeting no smile didn’t even look up. Witnessed an elderly lady forget to take her food to her seat and instead of them taking it over or even calling to her, they just laughed and rolled their eyes and left it on the counter. Which resulted in a nurse in the queue taking it over to the customer instead. Honestly probably the worst customer experience I’ve ever had, terrible for a normal coffee shop but for one in a hospital, just speechless. When I got my drink it was the wrong one, I notified one of them and Cat/Cal shouted across “What’s wrong with it?!?” I said, it’s just not what I ordered sorry, to be met with no apology just an eye roll. Really disgraceful and have sent this to Costa because management of this branch clearly don’t read or react to reviews left on Google.

I came to get my husband and myself a hot drink while he's having Radiotherapy, only to be greeted by extremely rude staff! The women serving was drinking while trying to serve, there was no pleasant greeting, just "do you want cream that? Are you paying by card?" No politeness at all; no please or thank you, no service with a smile, nothing! The woman making the drinks was eating a chocolate muffin, and took absolutely ages! I got my sausage bap thrown across the counter at me by another member of staff. The two ladies behind me in the queue were rudely told to move a long and wait for their drinks, no please, no thank you. All the staff looked like they had missed the day when smiles where handed out, and basic custom service was taught! It doesn't take much to be polite, act professionally, and provide a smile. Be kind! They were all just rude! A very unpleasant experience today.

Staff are unfriendly, I totally agree with the last review, young girl with pink hair serving very rude muttering under her breath when asked what I wanted, not necessary at a time when people are visiting sick relatives, I asked for no cream on one of the 2 x hot chocolates and felt that she deliberately put cream on both after slamming them onto the counter (she was not busy serving anyone else) she was rude from the time I arrived at the counter, I returned it to another member of staff and there was no apology from her. Management should be made aware of this and put a stop to it or hire new friendly staff.

I have used this Costa a lot this week as I have been visiting a relative at the Hospital. Every time I have been this week (at various times throughout the day) they have 3 quarters of the seating area closed for cleaning.Even though they have queue of Customers purchasing food & drinks to eat in!!. Staff are also miserable and have zero Customer Service skills.There where 2 members of staff behind the counter today whilst a 3rd is filling up the sandwich section (where hardly any of the pricing/description of the food match what is on display) and then literally throwing the excess packing on the floor where Customers are standing as the queue was almost back to the entrance!! A Customer that was already seated in the closed off area asked when they were closing and the reply back was in an hours time! Surely this would be the time to clean the area and top up the food section?? I know that other Costa outlets are not run this way and was shocked to find this in a Hospital branch!

This is possibly the best location for a costa in the world, It was like finding a gold mine in the middle of a hospital!!

Friendly staff team who work proficently to serve customers promptly with their orders

Coffee is very poor, to bitter, they need to change the coffee bean they use, to make it a more rounded taste.

The workers in Costa Coffee are friendly and nice and they do nice cakes and sandwiches.

Food was great but service was awful. Staff incredibly unmotivated. Coffee not hot. Forgot to prepare our food so we were sat waiting a long time.

This is a small costa, with next to no seating. The baristas here are friendly though, and they serve nice warm drinks! Prices though are a bit more expensive compared to your typical costa.

Service with a smile always - especially welcome in the location, well done team!

Standard coffee shop, noisy and crowded so must be popular with other people.

Costa's in the Hospital - Good Service & Polite

Went down to costa for a coffee at 9 Saturday and Sunday, both times it wasn’t open. When asked why I was told that they had a lot of cleaning to do... this is very inconvenient for nursing staff who only have a limited break. Also, the staff were very unfriendly.. I won’t be using Costa in the future.

Lots different staff working there.... (poole hospital costa). No consistency with coffee....sometimes coffee hot, sometimes luke warm. What Costa charge it should be spot on!! Went in on 22nd September, first thing. Was late opening, as it sometimes is, also closes early sometimes at weekends too!! Girl behind counter miserable. Throwing a red clip folder about. Shame cafe by outpatients not open weekend good, hot coffee and always a smile.

Out of most things at 11.30 in the morning. No green tea, no tea cakes or toast, no serviettes... positive - lovely friendly staff, especially the chap cleaning the tables!! Nice to see for a change

Like to visit Costa coffee. Always clean. Feel a bit sorry for the staff during summer months as they tend to run out of stock. Management's fault, who aren't on site! Be kind

Nice to have a Costa in the hospital. Some times when things are bad a decent hot drink can be a welcome sight. Nice little store, clean and tidy and friendly staff. Well worth the walk down from the wards to grab a drink.
