Only wanted something quick and easy to eat and we walked past here and decided to give it a try. Not bad chips at all not too pricey you do sometimes get chippy's being stupidly expensive but was reasonable. Service was polite and we had freshly cooked chips so couldn't argue with that.

I asked for cod and chips, no idea what type of fish I was given, it was awful. Not even cheap. I have not tried anything else from the menu, because the fish, or whatever it was put me off going back.

Just off the Poole Quay, stopped for a snack of chips. OK, but a bit under cooked if being picky, but all eaten

I have used this fish and chip shop several times last year, so I thought it would be ideal for a take away last night. I ordered 1/2 chicken and chips. When I got home I discovered I had 2 leg portions. I took the food back.....and was told a range of excuses which inckuded it is 1/2 chicken. I did not order a breast and a leg. Eventually he said he only had legs....I said if I had been given this information I would have ordered something else. I was refused a refund and asked to return at another time to see the manager.....whoes name was not Pete. I just wonder has this establishment changed hands recently?

If you want to sit and have Fish and Chips on the Quayside, go and get them from Pete's Plaice, you won't get better. The chips are as I like, home cooked and really tasty. Even though the place may have been busy, the service was brilliant and the food was hot and delicious. Just walk away from the Quay towards Poole High Street ( walk past Poole Pottery) .

Defo go get food from this place, the fish are to die for, and they give you loads, you could share a potion between two no danger!

I went here with two other people and we ordered several meals each and asked for them to be ready at the same time. Somehow, that was successful! The chips were really good, the fish was a bit dry and the batter was very yellow and stodgy. Goodness knows what was put into the batter to make it that colour. I'd go back for a portion of chips, but probably not bother with the fish again.

Food was very fresh and friendly staff. Had to wait a while for the food but that is a good thing as it was being cooked from scratch. Very pleasant indeed. I was the only one who finished a stard cod and chips to myself and I was very full afterwards. Portion sizes are good.

I go down to poole quite regularly, a really nice area, and have stopped off here a few times in the past for a portion of chips, and have never had a bad experience.

I used to use this takeaway all the time on my way home from work, but not for about 6 weeks. I went there today with the family and it was terrible. Turns out they don't do kids portions, but I can live with that. I ordered a pineapple burger and luckily checked when I got outside as they had literally just put a bit of pineapple in a bun! Lol. When I raised it with then it was as if I was the idiot... When I got home I also noticed they didn't put the drink I ordered in the bag. Not a happy customer today

My friend and I went to the cafe today for a coffee but ended up trying the red lentil soup and so glad we did, the best I've had in a very long time. Super friendly and helpful staff too. Will definitely be going back.

Quite the innocuous pub tucked away in plain site - I think I walked past it twice before realising what it was! Anyway, a typically organised (and clean) spoons over one level wit h plenty of space to wander about in. It's good inside and I think the entrance (at least one of them) was good for wheelchair access. The breakfast was superb as always as was the wake up coffee that was essential at tat time of day. The staff were wonderful and funny (had a bit of chat with one of the bar staff - excellent chap) and the sneaky early Guinness was brilliant. Thanks guys (and gals)

So very disappointing. Went for Friday Fish & Chips which we’ve done before and it’s been so good. This time the fish was soggy and swilling in grease. The top batter was crispy but underneath was slime. Neither of us ate much at all. The barmaid asked if all ok when she saw what was left on the plates so I said it was very soggy. There was no response or aftercare! It felt like it was defrosted fish which had been put into batter while wet - the fish slid out of the batter whole when cut into. The actual pub also looked a bit grubby- we went in 20 minutes after it opened and the floor needed a mop and there were a lot of crumbs under our table. There’s also flies hanging about in the bar which are annoying. Sad really as it used to be a lot better until recently. We’ll vote with our feet.

As soon as I cut into the haddock I could smell that it was not fresh. A very pungent smell. My son’s haddock also had a very pungent smell. The chips had obviously been re-cooked . At a cost of £35 for the full 5 meals it can only be described as disgusting . I think that trading standards should make a visit to these premises.
