Souless, discriminatory, prison-like, zero atmosphere, dead.This was the experience that Weatherspoons gave us tonight.On the door we were asked about our masks. When told we were exempt, the staff member did at least not mention it again (but this was the only so-called 'plus point' of the evening). We were not allowed in until both our names and numbers were taken. Not good enough anymore to just give one contact per group.We were told that you can only order if you have the Weatherspoons App, so you must have that on your phone to get served.Our friend was told to go sit at a table in the back, instead of being able to choose where they wanted to sit (despite there being plenty of tables available). As we walked down, past the bar, to find the table, a staff member standing behind the bar rudely said "Masks, guys!". We told him that we were exempt and that he should ask in a polite manner, not speak like he was ordering us around. He followed us down to the table, where he tried repeating that he hadn't been rude to us. This caused us further embarrassment in front of other customers. I hope this individual receives additional training on how to politely treat customers, because he's going to struggle otherwise in the wrecked future jobs market.The screened off tables are set out in a discriminatory manner, as they don't provide enough room for larger people, or for those with mobility issues, such as ourselves.Another customer was ordered back to her table when she went up to use the coffee machine. She was masked and standing two metres behind the customer already at the machine, yet this wasn't good enough for the staff member. Just how are customers meant to know when the coffee machine is free, especially when their table is not in view of the machine? Why was the two metres not enough anymore?For years we have been regular customers of this Weatherspoons, but cannot go back there while these restrictions are being enforced. With this attitude to customers, no business will survive and we feel sorry for some of the staff (but not the rude ones) having to watch their work futures going up in restriction smoke.And to top it off, when the food arrived it was only just warm enough, not it's usual hot temperature.You've made it a horrible, cold, lifeless experience, where customers are made to feel like prison inmates, monitored and controlled at all times. And corralled into plastic boxes like battery hens, waiting for the end.Based on the lack of customers tonight, we'd say the end is surely nigh.

Greeted by unfriendly staff with an attitude problem. Dirty tables, fly infested. Food was absolutely disgusting didn’t even eat it. Felt dirty. The whole place needs a damn good scrub and painting and the staff especially a blonde hair girl who needs a lesson in hospitality. Avoid.

Went in a quieter time. No-one at the door to greet or advise of procedure. Found a waitress and asked if we just walked in , or have to wait to be seated. Just flipped her hand towards the desk with track & trace papers piled uncut , upside down as though other people had been leafling through them to find an individual one. No pens or pencils so had to use my own. Waitress promptly disappeared , so we looked around for a clean table. Plenty of empty tables , but each one had glass marks on so obviously not sanitised.Found the cleanest one we could upstairs, sat down to order via the app, then decided to go elsewhere as just didn't feel Covid-safe at all!Not at all like the better experience we had in the Lord Wimbourne Wetherspoons a few minutes walk away the other day !

The good points first, friendly staff, good prices on food and drink, we have had some good meals here, a great location, biker friendly, spaced seating, the bad points, the tables should be regularly cleaned, especially in today's covid world, after each sitting, male toilets need lockable doors, one is always broken, coffee machines need wipe downs. The staff are always busy, so maybe employe more to keep up with the above and what is with the runny egg whites?

We sat outside and ordered our food through the app. Coffee cups came very quick followed by a very reasonable breakfast. Prices are good, as well as the service. Was lovely eating breakfast outside on the Quay watching the world go by.

Little concerned about the lack of organisation. Staff not greeting customers so they come in and rearrange seating, not considering social distancing. They were able to police the situation and were then ensuring the tables were clean - food was good and reasonably price and great being able to order on app - definitely the way to go.

Went in a Weatherspoons on Poole Quay yesterday to have a cheap pint but mainly to leave behind the massive turd I'd been reluctant to deposit in the minging portaloo at the campsite we were staying at nearby. There were contract tracing slips at the bar and I asked the barmaid if I needed to fill one in to which she answered 'we have to put them there but no one fills them in'. While I stood outside drinking my Guinness I saw literally dozens of people entering the pub with no masks just to use the loo and not one of them used the hand gel upon leaving. It would appear Weatherspoons are complicite in the government's culling of thick people.

We went as a family of 3. Went for breakfast each day as of hotel issues. The breakfast was dire as food was cold and undercooked. We ordered 2 traditional breakfasts and a bacon butty. Each dish was cold. We've had the bacon butty from Wetherspoons for years but this time was the worst.

Food came out stone cold, how does food come out from a kitchen stone cold, cooked but cold ‍♂️. My daughter had a curry and after the fifth time of asking for the mango chutney, she gave up, I think she just wanted to eat the food before it got hot. Zero social distancing and hand gel dispensers were all empty. Very very poor show.

During these times I would expect tables to be wiped after each use and someone at the door advising of protocol. Dirty pub, dirty glasses and slow service. Wetherspoon at its worst.

Visited on a Sunday evening while on holiday and thought the staff was fab . In particular you have a young blonde girl working for you 17 who is really pleasant and was well into a conversation. I asked her why she asked people to move off site to smoke and thought her answer was polite , informing and very interesting . I think it's a great idea not to allow people to smoke in your doorway and open space as it soon blows in the restaurant . I was impressed with how clean the restaurant was and look forward to visiting again soon .

When we went the food was good, was served very quickley for how many people where there. We will be going there again.

As a family of 2 adults and 2 children, we come to both the Wetherspoons in Poole equally. We ordered 4 meals on the app. Took 12 minutes for the drinks to get to us which is not unusual but the food took over 50 minutes. When it did arrive 2 of the meals were wrong so we had to wait for them to be corrected. When they finally arrived my daughters pizza was still the wrong flavour. It took 1 hour and 14 minutes for her to finally get her pizza in which time we had finished our lukewarm meals. The girls on the table were doing their best but apparently the order screens were playing up and they had also recently had the tables rearranged so they didn’t know where to take any food to that was ready!After several little moans to anyone that would dare to pass by our table finally Hannah came over to take the time to explain what had happen and to offer us free desserts. This of course was lovely of her and coupled with some free Pepsi that we also were offered from the manager but we were just happy to have eaten!The issue seemed to be communication or rather the lack of but Hannah’s customer service turned everything around and the kids were happy with their bonus dessert!!It is the not knowing what is going on and not being able to explain to the kids what the delay is so Hannah fixed this all in a quick 5 minute chat. We will of course be returning x

We go on a regular basis and lately the tables have been arranged in such a way to restrict access with a wheelchair. For some reason the tables have been put so close together that literally you can barely walk between them never mind a chair user getting around. Surely there must be a fire code violation.Don't get me wrong the staff are great and helpful but repairing the locks on the toilets would be nice

Staying in Bournemouth so caught the bus to Poole and couldn't miss an opportunity to add another Wetherspoons to our list of their pubs visited. It does't look very big from the outside but goes a long way back. It looked rather dark and gloomy when we walked in out of the sunshine but our eyes did adjust – the room at the back was lit up better. We weren't ready for a meal so just had a pint and a half of Ruddles and were pleased that Tim must still be reducing Ruddles as it said £1.89 on the menu but we were only charged £2.24 as we were the day before in Salisbury – what a bargain.

Your staff need some serious lessons in customer service as they are extremely rud. Also the bouncers in front of the door are very rude as well. NOT IMPRESSED

Went in with my 14 year old son during the Poole light festival and when ignored by the bar member I asked to see the manager. Next thing I know he had asked the door staff (bouncers) to speak to me and they asked me to leave my position at the bar before they would get the manager. When I refused to do so as I pointed out I would lose my place in the queue I was forcefully removed and my son was pushed. I have reported the matter to the Police as assault and will be taking the matter further. Absolutely disgraceful. Be warned, don’t complain!

What one would expect from a Weatherspoons, beer at good prices and a very decent meal reasonably priced. Bar staff very busy but still polite.

After ordering on the mobile app and on a fairly quiet morning. We then waited for over a hour and by this time the restaurant was packed, with tables sat after us getting food I went to ask on ours. First we got told it was on the list to be done but low down compared to others waiting, to then have the leader of the pack tell us our food was missing and we could get a refund. In a nuts shell badly run and no after care training has been given. Yes it's a JD weatherspoon so not expecting the world but a service that's paid for should have basic customer service skills, maybe not, but will make a ditch past this pub in future. We only went in as had to register the birth of our first and due to the delay I had to miss this part, and still didn't get to eat. Not so quick bites as advertised.
