Terrible. Bought a whole crab last week for £13.50 and it was stale, didn't even smell of crab. The insides were dry and meat was dry. For safety we disposed of it. I went in today 1st March 24 as off work and told them about it. The guy said to me it may have been frozen. I said OK but it was inedible he said I should have brought it back! And I said you would have been closed and not here on a Sunday. Then we work all week cannot take a day off to bring back a rotten crab! I said what can you do, he said nothing unless you bring it back! So I was supposed to keep a rotten crab in the fridge untill I could get it back or take a day off! I doubt the freshness of the product from this stall. I have seen same crab (or seemed to be) out on display next day as pricing the same. They obviously put them back in the fridge end of day and put back out next day and so on, and I'm sure that is what happened to us. He didn't care, hence my review. I will never go there again. Terrible quality and after care.
We enjoyed the snacks we had here. Came in today only to find the place empty with a To let sign in the window. Not hint as to whether either the beer and cheese snack bar or the related microbrewery might be continuing in some form elsewhere.

Always excellent value. 2 bottles of higher end wine, full meal for two of us, £100 - You can't argue with that.
No gristle at all in the lamb or chicken, very soft - Things are made to order and the owner is very present and makes the experience for everyone, very personal. Definitely recommend.
Really great place to eat. Food was quick and delicious. Staff really friendly and helpful and atmosphere was great and the music wasn’t too loud so you can have a conversation and hear what the person is saying.
I popped along for coffee and food with my husband and granddaughter today. The lady took our order then disappeared, with no explanation. We were left waiting for our food and drinks, after a while she came back with no apology. I asked her colleague for our order, because by now other orders had been taken.
I asked the colleague what had happened and she said, "she had to run to the toilet it was an emergency".
Seeing the lady behind the counter handling food after being told of the emergency toilet situation 🤢. I said I didn't need to know the details, and could I please cancel my food order. She was rude and abrupt and said she was only being honest and telling the truth....
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Yes I was offered a refund which I declined as another assistant offered to prepare my order.
Working in hospitality myself (restaurant supervisor), I would be horrified if a member of staff had expressed to a customer that she had to go to the toilet because it was an emergency ! Any other excuse could have been given, but the toilet and an emergency aren't the words you want to hear when someone is preparing your food. The assistant defended herself in a rude manner by saying "I was only telling the truth, do you want me to tell lies". Not very professional. And actually yes ! In this instance a lie would have been better.
But once again, thank you for your swift reply, perhaps some staff training might be helpful.
Hit and miss on pastys in my experience, too often the veg is still hard , every other time I visit seems to be the same . However when they do manage to cook them correctly they are amazing !! Update: company was very understanding and have just bought 2 more pastys at company's expense and they were perfect. Ty
16/03/25 Went in for two giant steak and a traditional steak . My boy had the traditional and enjoyed it thoroughly. The giants however were not so good . Half way through both of them , the veg started to get hard/ undercooked . At over £6 each it's ridiculous they can't get this right.
Always enjoy going to The Treasury, whether for a quick coffee, leisurely lunch, afternoon tea or for an evening out. Friendly staff, lovely food and relaxed atmosphere. Amazing architecture, in line with St Andrews Church next door, the arched windows are quite something, great for watching the world go by whilst enjoying a coffee, out of the hustle and bustle of Drake Circus.
Popped by here for a quick bite for lunch, met by friendly staff, got a good table, and considering the huge size of the place, food was served quick and was tasty too. Good selection for vegetarians too!
The pork was really dry, the chicken and egg dish looked and tasted terrible.Normally we love the Japanese food but this is the worst in Plymouth. We haven’t eaten it- come and take it back. Would not recommend
