Always excellent value. 2 bottles of higher end wine, full meal for two of us, £100 - You can't argue with that. No gristle at all in the lamb or chicken, very soft - Things are made to order and the owner is very present and makes the experience for everyone, very personal. Definitely recommend.

I love this restaurant. The food is first class and so authentic and tasty. The staff are very attentive.

The Eastern Eye has been at 57 Notte Street for many years and still has its live website and must be preparing for the evolving relaxation of Lockdown3. Very recently another website has appeared for an Indian food service from the same premises and called Indian Eye. Everything seems to suggest that its the same business which has been tweaked to have a distinct identity while the restaurant can’t open and may be used for collections/deliveries once the Eastern Eye restaurant is up and fully running again.

Disgusting! After waiting 50 minutes for food in an empty pub, it was the worst we've experienced anywhere in decades. Lasagne was a shrivelled piece of rubber, fish and chips saw the fish curled up in a semi circle, chicken shawarma looked like it was out of a pack from Tesco. Floor was sticky with puddles of water in corners from attempts to wash it. My poor elderly cousin only booked it because it was dog friendly and he was taking us there as a treat. He was mortified at how awful it was, and I feel bad at how ripped off he felt. Absolutely don't go for food!!!!

Madii was an excellent server. My favourite thing was that she spoke directly to my children rather than to us for them. And her hot chocolate was 😘🤌 My only critique was the option to give a card tip was not provided and we would have left one.
