Soggy sandwiches (actually wet)

I've been coming to the cafe for many months now with my dog Daisy, it doesn't matter who is working they are all brilliant Gina, Michelle, Beth, Nicola, James, and all the extra staff over the summer holidays. Who ever is on you always get a very friendly greeting specially even if it's gets very busy, which you don't get in many places, you have a loads of regulars that use the cafe and it's nice that they call you by your name, which gives you the warm feeling and relaxing time. I think in my own circumstances that it's a fantastic place to go and if there really busy they will sit and listen to you, again where can you get that help and service.

Went here today for ice cream and coffee. Staff work hard busy at times.

This cafe is situated in Central Park Plymouth it offers take away only, coffee tea and soft drinks, ice creams are offered also. There are public toilets here also.

We had ice cream when we went to the park was very busy staff struggled to keep up but I've cream was lovely

It should be a great place for fresh food/drinks - however only pasties & pre packed sandwiches & coffee not great

Nice chill out cafe , dog friendly. Go there a lot with grand son , he loves it after park & feeding ducks.

Idea after your walk around central park brilliant venue for a cup of tea or coffee you can also charge your phone up while having a cup of tea coffee ,or breakie

Take way service only at the moment, for obvious reasons, but the latté was very good

I love this cafe that overlooks the park. When the sun shines it attracts the many people who use the park. Indoor and outdoor seating options.

I was enjoying a day off work in the park with family when I went in the meadow cafe for some drinks and a bite to eat. There was a younger girl on her own rushing around doing everything while an older women was just on her phone and being rude. Did not like the atmosphere she was creating which was a shame.

Opening hours are rubbish, closes mid afternoon, right next to a play park that is busy well into the early evening, so nowhere to get refreshments after 3pm, life centre (5min walk away) sells out of ice creams, they’re missing so much business and the park doesn’t cater for families after 3pm, bring back the ice cream van (even if it’s just for the after school times/weekends/school holidays)!

Ideal little café in the middle of the park. Seating in the shade as well.

Too expensive for ice cream from a cash and carry like Bookers tub..

Good not great coffee terrible.

It is very basic The coffee is very average Food quite simple It is ok for kids to get an ice cream but not much to offer.

Lovely place to stop for a coffee and a snack. Staff pleasant and the atmosphere is always bustling with park visitors. I come here with an elderly client who enjoys a walk with his walker and to finish off with a coffee. He enjoys the spot.

It wasn't open this time but when it is open the staff are always friendly. But more staff is needed.

Went for a coffee before tamking the boys in the park. Lovely staff. Turned up before closing but were happy to serve. Definitely recommend 👌

Sitting outside in the winter afternoon sunshine. Tables are good for our tennis group to have cakes and biscuits and tea or mulled wine. Nothing from the cafe.

They didn't have any cake I had a choice of a mars bar or a kit kat and the tea tasted awful thank goodness they closed at 3pm I won't be going there again

The idea of this place was good, parents get to enjoy a cuppa while watching their little ones play.. But I would still rather choose to go into the life centre and order any type of food. Think they'd be onto a winner winner chicken dinner if they had chips as an option. The kids only have a selected drinks option and they're frankly rubbish, small and over priced...

I agree with most people saying the location is great, but the fact that you can only pay by card is ridiculous!!

Has so much potential which is wildly missed. Very minimal selection of food, ice-cream and coffee. Can't make iced Americanos, only lattes?? Strange. The same service and standard could be achieved with a pop up stand and chairs.

Clean and tidy not a bad price for hot drinks and pasty staff very friendly and helpful.

Just popped in with a friend for a drink on our walk around the park. Very clean and served by a nice friendly person. A popular place to stop for all ages.

A smallish selection of items. No sandwiches on today. Was ok service, price, foods. Toilets need better ventilation.

Basic coffee, tea, hot chocolate, ice cream window/take away service. Still only taking card payments understandably. Very lovely staff!!! :) Back again today & the poor lady appeared to be on her own & completely rushed off her feet! She was very patient & kind (we were at a table nearby). Always a queue, but she wasn't flustered or rude. Payrise required!!! :)

Due to covid you still have to use card. never have alot in stock and its expensive. I wouldn't recommend.

Very basic but well serviced cafe. Toilets and a very large car park nearby. The play park is suitable for all ages and is probably the largest in the city.

Nice place to sit and have a coffee but they make it strong enough to strip paint so maybe ask for extra milk, or maybe me and my wife are just wimps!!

Lovely play park for the children and ideal that there are toilets nearby aswell as a cafe .

Arrived at park 2-20pm and all closed up,discussed as alot of other people,They must of lost a lot of money today

I've watched this place being built for years....it seemed to take forever! But...it was so needed and long overdue. Families have been coming here for years to the adjacent wonderful park with no toilet facilities and just a mobile ice cream van. Now, people can relax here, have a coffee and a bite to eat. Its a hub for people of all ages. And the new adventure playground, which took just as long to complete is absolutely brilliant. Sadly, the cafe should have been bigger and there should be more toilets. Ah well, we can't have everything.........can we. Typical Plymouth Council. The staff are wonderful and still struggling with covid issues ( no indoors seating yet ). It's a little gem, in beautiful Central Park....

Over priced no vegan options and very little for people who suffer with allergies. Don't rate at all only reason it got 2 star is because the young lad who served me was a sweetheart

Handy spot to grab a refreshing drink for a stroll around the park

We got there at about 1245, at which time they were still advertising pasties and sausage rolls, although there were none left. The queue was quite long, with the staff trying to serve through a small window that hampered progress. We purchased sandwiches that were of poor quality. The seating area was clean and well maintained, as were the toilets.

The staff are very friendly, the items are fairly priced but the service can be on the slow side so be prepared to que.

I had a rather large order of ice-cream...9 in total and the 2 young gentleman who served me couldn't have been more helpful. The prices are great too.

1 star is too much but needed to let others know what to expect. Decided to stop for a coffee and a milk shake here yesterday afternoon . The elderly woman who slowly came to serve us (after eventually putting her phone down) was very lacking in customer care. We were told they were out of stock of shakes and told few people asked for them. So just take them off the menu if no longer available! So just a coffee and an arrogantly served at that. Also very limited on a healthy food options,but OK if you like fatty foods We have used this place before when the younger staff served us they were great service with a smile ,very lacking yesterday. Will pass it by in the future better service at the golf hut side. ________________________ Fast forwards to yesterday Saturday 24th took the grand sprogs to Central Park and decided to give the cafe there a second chance as the old woman serving previously may have been having a off day. I Was WRONG! AS, after yesterday's visit UNFORTUNATELY for me the same old girl was on duty again. If that's the word for it. But the stench of cigarettes put me off buying food. So I went to the other widow where there was a was a pleasant young chap serving scooped ice cream for the grandkids so we settled for that. Spoilt by the other aforementioned female shouting at at the lad loudly "to just get on with it" when he asked for a short break as his wrists where hurting from using the scoops which upset my grandkids. So to my original statement this place now off my watering holes visit in Central Park. In future I'll use the one nr the golf course

Felt so sorry for the young man working there he didn't get a chance to breathe lady working with him was so nasty and spiteful in the manner she spoke to him she was barking orders like a dog at him while sat on a chair won't go back

What a great cafe experience, had a lovely pasty and drinks served by Sue, an elderly lady who was very helpful and friendly. A great stop off to enjoy The food, drink and friendlyness 10/10

Nice to get a drink while kids are in the park

Very green with no use of plastics so I good for the environment, only got 4 stars because customer service was lacking in the happy sector, if the staff were more welcoming and polite I would have given 5 stars, is also a little pricey but is situated in just the right spot near the play park and opposite the entrance to the life centre.

Nice little shop while walking around Central park. I liked that they haven't fully opened up yet and you have to order from the window. The lady indoors serving me wasn't wearing a mask which I would have preferred if she had been. I had ordered some ice-cream tubs and a flat white. Ice-cream was spot on but the coffee wasn't very nice. It came from a machine and was more expensive than a Costa coffee. I think they are missing a trick not having a proper coffee machine and barista.

Impressed by the fact the lady serving made sure she washed her hands before serving us, very friendly, reasonable & a decent drink.

Great friendly staff, even when they are really busy they are friendly and polite. Biiiiiig sausage rolls. Great veg pasties and fantabulous ice creams. The Sausage rolls are a big favourite with my dogs .

The coffee is Good, I should know I set the machines up.
