The best restaurants in Central Town North Devon South West

Whilst the food was enjoyable enough it tended to be a little on the expensive side.We chose the set menu at £31 each and it could have been better.A large amount of rice didn't camouflage the lack of the main ingredients. Staff pleasant

Fantastic weekend here! The Imperial exceeded all my expectations. The service was impeccable, with staff going above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Room was very clean, stylish and a wonderful bathroom with everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The breakfast and daily-changing dinner menu were delicious and made my experience truly unforgettable. It has an old style feel but I can’t wait to return!

Definitely the best place to eat, great food, great prices and great staff, try to go at least once a month. Nothing is to much trouble, if you fancy a dish but you think it might be too spicy they can adjust the strength, just ask 👍🏻

Bought some fish and chips to take away Usually super nice, but this time a lot of the chips are green/black :( Not very nice at all considering the price

Being gluten intolerant, finding safe places to eat is sometimes a challenge. Have been following Charlies on social media for quite some time and have been desperate to try all their baked goods, particularly their doughnuts. Finally got to visit today. What a treat. Everything was lovely but the doughnuts were exceptional. Can't wait till we can visit again

The new shop looked amazing, we went in around 7pm in the middle of shopping.customer service was amazing! The lady that served us was very kind and friendly!! Thank you! Also cookie pie is amazing I would recommend

We called in for a sneaky cocktail and ended up having two and a fantastic lunch of the most amazing dirty fries. We were so well looked after by Ben and Mia whilst we sat in comfort in front of the coal stove. Can’t think of a better way to spend a grey Saturday afternoon. Lucky we’re getting the bus home!

I really don’t know what people are saying when they are giving this place 4and 5 star reviews!! They really can’t know what good Indian food is, popadoms where poor and expensive as was the chutney tray, the two starter where horrible, and as for the four mains we ordered we refused to pay for it !!!! Poor quality chicken, king prawns rubbish honestly I’m absolutely go smacked why people eat there

Lilico’s used to be one of my favourite dinner spots in Barnstaple. The tapas dishes were amazing and there was always a good atmosphere so when a friend suggested we go here with our partners for dinner we thought we’d give it a go, first time since it has been taken over by someone else and well let’s just say it will also be the last. Food was bland, probably the worst I have ever had. Cocktail menu was boring. Staff were miserable. And it was dead in there. Such a shame that Lilicos has been ran down into the ground.

Was recommended this place. Went in for lunch today approx 1.15pm As you walk in there's a sign saying plse wait here to be seated. After several minutes standing there. Place looked empty including staff didn't hear or see any staff so we left. Did to up their game.
