We stayed for one night only as attending a funeral. Kelly and Phil were very friendly and accommodating. Spotless rooms with everything we needed. Thank you both.

Went and spent the day watching football, the atmosphere was really good and the drinks were priced very reasonable. Great day, and I will be returning with my mates for more football days.

First visit to Barnstaple, we visited the Ebberley by chance, friendly with good ale, would be a good local and one to try when in town.

I went to the recent "March of the Mods" weekend on the 3rd/4th of March held at The Ebberley. I enjoyed both days immensely. There was a brilliant atmosphere and a warm welcome from all the staff on duty. It was great to meet up with friends, old and new. All the bands and DJ's played my type of music. My personal favourites were The Liquidators and The Embezzlers. All in all, it was a great event at a great pub. Phil and Kelly are very hard working and know how to put on this type of event, and if it was repeated, I would certainly attend again. I have also called in to the Ebberley on the odd occasion and have always had a warm welcome.

This is a quaint and typical olde pub. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and the drinks are well priced and good.

Performed here as a musician on 3/12/22 - firstly, the owners are a lovely couple who are very accommodating and all-round great people 👍 also, the crowd was arguably one of, if not the best that I have had the joy of playing for! I could never run out of good words to use for these guys, highly recommended for customers or performers! 🎸🍺

Tried (and failed) to do the Tarka rail ale trail today, and this was by far the biggest, friendliest place we visited. Lovely local crowd.

Needed a dog friendly pub that had Sky Sports football.. The Ebberley Arms didn't disappoint.Kelly&Phil were absolutely brilliant.Made us feel like locals,even tho we live over 200 miles away.Even supplied us with a free meal.. If you're in the area,looking for a drink at a really good price,this place would be hard to beat.

Great central town boozer with live music, great atmosphere, laughter and conversation flowing, good beers and some dodgy looking geezers who are salt of the earth actually! Spacious and with a large pool room with three tables. Appears to be kid friendly, but on my visit was almost totally an adult population. Live sports also on offer, but not the main focus of the place, which seems to be on having a good time!

Stopped in at this place not knowing where we were as doing an a&e trip and they couldn't have been more welcoming, fantastic staff and couldn't help you enough. They don't do food but got us a menu for a local takeaway and when we had decided they phoned it through for us and even went and picked it up so we didn't have to go out in the rain. Sometimes you just find a gem where you don't expect it. Thanks so much for looking after us so well 😉

Please ignore the terrible review on this site as the current proprietors took over this establishment after that was written, and have really turned it around. We often drink here and finally, after hearing so many good reviews from the locals, booked in for Sunday lunch and it was brilliant, best Sunday roast around! All the produce is cooked fresh, choice of three meats, vast array of fresh vegetables and accompaniments and it tasted amazing. The pork had a lovely bit of crackling, and the beef melted in the mouth. Highly recommend, and great value for money too. The staff are very friendly and attentive. Thank you for a lovely meal. Will definitely be back!

My friend was coming down from Leeds and we asked if they would show the Leeds Rugby game for us, which they did as soon as we got there. Staff very friendly, music heavy rock on jukebox excellent...good night.

Great Sunday carvery followed by brilliant band in evening, lovely day out

Good, safe and fun atmosphere with affordable prices. Recommend for events as it has a nice size function room and I hear the carvery on Sundays are amazing too.

Had a Sunday roast today,very good value, good size portions an choise of vegetables. I Would like my food hotter, but not so easy for carverys to keep as hot as i would at home.But all good other wise,would use again.

They are all such an amazing people very welcoming and the food is fantastic. Highly recommend to everyone. This is now going to be my local although i live in braunton. The owners are like family truly wonderful. So take my word for it and get down to the ebberly don't wait any longer.

This pub was taken over in June 2018 by the current landlord. Together with his team they have made the pub into an extremely welcoming place for locals and visitors alike. Drinks are not expensive - on tap ale for £3.00 that tastes great will always go down well with me. I took my family down for the carvery last Sunday and I was blown away by the quality of everything about it - plenty of choice of meat (gammon, pork, beef - I had all 3!) and vegetables in abundance. It was all piping hot as served on carvery hotplate. Service was second to none. You won't find a better carvery in town, particularly given that the price is extremely competitive. I'm looking to take some more of the family back later this month. Give it a go!

Been and had a carvery here twice now, and it hasn't failed to amaze me! My children loved it that much too, they have asked to come down every week just for the carvery! But apart from the food, the staff are fantastic, and prices are very good. Live bands are regular aswell. Look forward to going down again and again.

Lovely building and nice food. Some people rave about the carvery and whilst it's enjoyable I don't think it's spectacular and the gravy needs improving.

Went for a drink, and ended up having Sunday lunch. Excellent customer service, friendly staff, food was amazing expecially the cauliflower cheese. Highly recommended

Not been there for many years, what a transformation, looks and feels like a nice place to eat and drink.

Good for a coffee and meeting in the daytime like I had today with a colleague and also a more social evening as I enjoyed earlier in the week. Great cucumber cocktails too!

We had a couple of drinks in this charming little pub after shopping. Lovely atmosphere and the allowed us to bring our four dogs in. Well worth a visit.

Mi pareja y yo estuvimos en Devon para el fin de semana y encontramos este pub. El ambiente era genial y muy acogedor desde la ciudad, no es a menudo encontrará pubs como este. Nos alojamos por la música en directo los sábados por la noche. Nuestra experiencia esa noche llevó a volver para comer el domingo al día siguiente. El asado los domingos era uno de los mejores iv tenía por un largo tiempo la carne estaba perfectamente preparada la razón por la que escribo esta crítica era que mi compañero tenía absolutamente ninguna queja y, creedme que por lo general se encuentra en la mayoría de las cosas. fallo recomiendo este.

Acabamos de ala y última noche decidimos ir a Devon. Siendo Semana Santa no pudimos conseguir una habitación en ningún otro lugar, y nos recomendaron que las armas pueden tener uno. Ebberley Me registré el sitio web mientras mi pareja.La habitación doble confortable anunciaban desde 50 libras. 00 la noche.Llegamos a los brazos Ebberley y esperó en el bar por unos 15 minutos mientras que David fue a ver a nosotros. David es la persona que trata con las habitaciones aparentemente.Cuando David llega él en primer lugar quiere comprobar que sabemos que es de £50. 00 por persona. 100 libras. 00 que él quiere de nosotros por una noche. Así que la mitad de mí está pensando quizás deberíamos dormir el coche, la otra mitad es pensar, que debe ser una habitación muy bonita! !A pesar de ello, no podemos permitirnos una habitación por noche de 100 libras, así que nos ofrecieron por £70, pero finalmente aceptadas 60 libras de nosotros en la condición de que fuera a las 8 de la mañana.Nos llevó arriba en la cómoda habitación doble que sólo puedo describir como repugnante. Tenía claramente no ha aspiradora por durante unas semanas, las ventanas estaban cubiertas de moho y manchas, los cubrecamas claramente no habían cambiado desde la última lavada o personas que nos alojamos allí, ya que era todavía un hueco en la cabeza en la almohada y pelo por todo y además había una marca desagradable marrón en la colcha.Él nos dice que el compartir y donde la ducha. La ducha no tenía una bombilla trabajando pero David no estaba preocupado, no te preocupes, todavía ver, explicó.Me preparaba para la cama cubriendo mi almohada con mi propia toalla y dormir en la cama completamente vestida y trató de ir a dormir.Esto era imposible sin embargo como David estaba durmiendo en la habitación de al lado. Su televisión y en este punto yo estaba recibiendo enfadado y quería ir y dormir en el coche. Esto no fue lo peor.Nos despertaron varias veces en la noche por televisión, Davids tos y davids desgarradoras, David gritando y diciendo palabrotas en su teléfono móvil y, por último, David levantarse 3 veces a vomitar a gritos en el baño que estaban compartiendo. No sé lo que estaba mal si él estaba enfermo o borracho, pero, pagamos 60 libras para dormir en una habitación que no conseguí dormir.Mi pareja y yo fuimos a usar el baño y tenía que limpiar el vómito que había sido salpicaba todo antes de que lo pueda usarla.No hace falta decir que cuando nuestro sonó a las 6 de la mañana estábamos muy dispuestos a salir de allí y sabía que tenía que salir antes de las 8 de la mañana. Enseguida nos dimos cuenta de que nos guardamos nuestras cosas dentro del edificio y tenía que ir y despertar David para que nosotros.Deberíamos haber dormido en el coche.
