Great food, great beer, great service highly recommend

Very welcoming. First time eating there since it changed to Mexican, and the food was delicious and presented well. Service was very good, we were regularly checked on, staff were super friendly and chatty, nothing bad to say at all! Highly reccomend :)

Absolutely loved it here. Mexican food, great variety, cocktails were lovely, recommend the spicy margarita. Food delicious, service great and friendly, comfortable surroundings.

Loved our meal there last night! Really awesome atmosphere! Can I make a request? Plz can you add salsa! Enchiladas! And tamales! To the menu in the future :) it would make this Mexican restaurant even better!!

Stopped for lunch. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Lovely atmosphere and very good food. We opted for the Carnitas burrito - very tasty and so filling. We will be back to try more of the menu 😊

Went in for lunch on Friday and the food is amazing, you can taste how fresh the ingredients are. The king prawn taco is to die for. Service so helpful and friendly! Barnstaple needs more places of this standard!!!

Felt very comfortable, staff are very attentive. Cocktails choice is very varied all of high quality. Food 10/10 wether it's starter, main or dessert can't go wrong with anything on the menu. A particular good choice is the spicy cod starter. Good value for money. Came away very happy with our experience and with full bellies will definitely recommend anyone to dine here we will certainly be coming back

Used to be a beautiful authentic tapas restaurant… with lovely, welcoming owners. New owners took over and completely ruined the atmosphere and food. Not only have they ruined the the restaurant for their customers, they have ruined it for the majority of the staff there too. Staff have been unfairly dismissed without reason or warning. Don’t support this cruel business. My heart goes out to all the people affected and have been made redundant in this time of inflation.

Fabulous new mexican restaurant in Barnstaple. Had only been open 5 days when we booked, but I can thoroughly recommend. My Mum, Dad and I all ordered various quesadillas which were all delicious, the only downside was the fact they're more tapas style so the quesadillas came on a small plate with a small side salad rather than a dinner plate with a big side salad or refried beans or something

Lovely place for food and to get a bit boozy. Great stuff on tap and fun staff

This place is such a vibe. Food was cooked to perfection, awesome choice of beers (Mahou is always a winner), music on point and Doggo friendly. Not sure if children are banned but our visit was child free absolute heaven!! Would recommend to anyone who appreciates good food.

Celebrated my 40th Birthday here with a bottomless brunch and the day couldn't have been better. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who looked after us. They catered for all our dietary requirements and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The food was great (even for me who can't eat spice). The Mexican hat were a great touch and got us all in the spirit.

I booked Lillicos for my friends hen weekend on the 4th of May. They were so attentive from the moment we walked in. Everyone’s food was great. The atmosphere was lovely. We were always checked on to see if we required more drinks or anything. We were there for three hours in total and were not made to feel unwelcome or rushed to leave. There were 13 of us in total and would definitely recommend. 😊

The food was very good, service friendly, efficient and welcoming. It might be as we eat there at 6pm that the restaurant lacked a bit of atmosphere.

Nice fast food style, big portions and good value. Brixton Brewery beer was good. Atmosphere was a little flat on a Friday night but I've heard it's better at lunchtimes and Saturday nights. All in all very happy

Really lovely place in Barnstaple. As a family of 5 we each enjoyed a great filling meal with drinks and desserts. It seems to cater for a wide range of customers and had a nice, chilled atmosphere with pleasant staff. Would highly recommend.

Arrived at 20.15 on a Tuesday night,ordered drinks and asked for a tab as wanted something to eat. The barmaid informed us the kitchen was already closed. A glass of wine and a pint cost nearly £12. Very expensive compared to most other bars and restaurants in the nearby area.The menu is a fusion of different cuisine styles, mostly street food.

Have wanted to go for a while, so first opportunity I had my son and I both went it was great, food amazing, staff great and attentive would definitely go again

I had the smashed cheese burger which was over cooked the meat was extremely dry and for the price u shouldn't receive a dry burger and I had the brisket pizza which was ice cold it was like next day pizza probably the worse pizza I've ever tried saying all this I would buy the burger again if they cooked it probably instead of over cooking it the chips are amazing lovely thick chips the pizza was the biggest disappointment so cold

Absolutely beautiful food, The staff are amazing and attentive - our server in particular was absolutely fantastic, she explained the menu, and recommended dishes. I had my two little girls with me and she went above and beyond to bring jot to our table! Thank you!!!! P.S burlesque nights would be awesome 👌

Martin, the new owner, was very attentive, and Vicki, who served us, was excellent, too. The food was delicious. I would definitely recommend this place if you're local or on holiday. It has seriously improved since it has been under new ownership. Great job, Martin!

On a day trip to Barnstaple we looked for a place for lunch and choose Lilico's, couldn't have chosen better the food was delicious , we would definitely come back .

We’re currently sat in lilicos. We were seated promptly, took a bit to be asked what we wanted to drink but that’s ok as once ordered drinks came quickly. However we finished our drinks 25 mins ago and we have popped our glasses to one side to help indicate we had finished. We’re still sat waiting so my partner has ended up going to the bar when suddenly a waitress is very attentive, shame as we had been looking forward to coming here after the open. Won’t be returning in a rush despite how nice the cocktails are.

What a wonderful experience- welcomed as soon as we got through the door, chose where we would like to sit, Vicki our lovely waitress was so accommodating & friendly, seemed as if we'd known her for years. Nothing was too much trouble! Exceptional service. The food was delicious, I had the Chicken Fajitas, my Sister had the Ceaser Wrap with a shared side of Rosemary Fries- all was well cooked, plentiful & quality. Vicki invited us to come back on a Saturday to try out the cocktail, pitchers & to experience the live bands- we'll most certainly take her up on her offer! Highly recommend this establishment- I will be visiting again very soon!

Love it great food lovely place

Had the nachos with 5 bean chilli, chunky chips, corn on the cob and mixed salad. All very tasty and all prepared separately from meat and fish products. Looking forward to our next visit.

I ate here as part of a group out celebrating a friends’ birthday and my meal was lovely. The food being served around our table looked delicious and the quantities were just right as no one seemed to leave anything behind. Be warned, the sharing platters are very large! The staff were friendly and clearly managing a very busy environment to the best of their ability.

Faultless. Great dining experience. Amazing food and the waiting staff worked great together and individually. Tyler was exceptionally helpful nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back

Lovely food, lovely staff, my only criticism would be, food not served on warmed plates, a big no no for me, I sadly will not be visiting again.

Delicious food and great service, fully recommend. We went here after Wetherspoons, down the road, were packed and thank goodness we did! We were thankful for the calm atmosphere! The menu was a bit more pricey but this was expected as it's quality food. I thoroughly enjoyed the halloumi fries and can't get them out of my head! 🤣

Stayed in Barnstaple for a few days, and on our way from the train station, we stumbled upon this place. Looked great outside, nice decor inside. The signs made it sound amazing, we didn’t eat but would liked to of tried at some point during our stay. We sat outside for a while, unsure if it was table service, despite the sign saying it was. I went in and ordered drinks for the few of us. When I was served at the bar, I was asked if I wanted food, but when I replied just drinks, was told the kitchen is closed and they’re not serving? I felt like I was offered something I couldn’t have.. I just didn’t see the point in mentioning it unless I had asked specifically. The staff didn’t really look like they knew what they were doing. Other than that, looks like a nice place that could do nice food. The front seating area is a bonus sun trap in the afternoon and great for people and traffic watching.

Lots of walking and had to stop, and found the perfect spot to rest up, have something to eat and drink. Very pleased we did too. Outside area to people watch, nice stylish interior with front window seats for more people watching plus intimate tables tucked away inside. Good choice menu for all tastes. I had the vegan vegetable mezze and what a feast. Delicious with crispy baby potatoes and lots of flavours going on. Staff helpful and courteous. Very enjoyable.

Faultless dining experience. We found this lovely tapas restaurant by chance searching right here on Google Maps. The reviews and pictures online certainly do represent the experience we had. My partner is dairy and gluten-free - often a challenge for eating out - but the team and chef were superb. They also have vegan tapas and gluten-free tapas and aren’t afraid to adapt to combine them both into a meal. The service, food, and atmosphere were superb. I would highly recommend booking in. We booked via Facebook and they replied and booked us in within minutes. From start to finish this was a wonderful experience. We’ll be back (they do takeaway pizza, too!)

Amazing pizza excellent service and wine excellent quality. Got to give this place 5 star and I'm a fussy bird let me tell you .one of the highlights to eat in barnstable. Cheff even came to ask me if Mt pizza was ok. Top notch place will bring the other half with me next time . Bloody well done

Tapas doesn't get better than this!! Firstly, as a frequenter of lilicos from days of old, With many happy drinking nights spent here, my anxiety that the bar was now a restaurant was immediately evaporated. Lilicos has now found its true place. A perfect restaurant with amazing food, great staff and a new and cosy Refit. I love it!!!! I can't fault a single thing. The olives are amazing. The butter beans unbelievable. I am boring myself now so will let you decide. Just trust me. Its a great dining experience!! Thanks Chris and Wandi.

This is an amazing tapas bar in Barnstaple. The dishes are beautifully presented, the restaurant is spacious and the staff are very helpful. There is a great selection of tapas and main dishes. All the ones we tried were amazing. A definite must to go to when in the area

Whilst filming locally we looked for a nice day off in town. Really liked this place, so we stayed all day and evening.. Food was good and a selection of wines. Service was polite and fast. Fresh local muscles were very good. We are returning again this week...

Great food and service we arrived without booking and despite being busy they managed to fit us in. Also felt very safe with their Covid measures.

Fantastic food, very good service. So many good taste combinations with the Tapas. Tapas may not be the best choice if on a budget but would recommend Pizzas also. Wife says Long Island Ice Tea was the best she has had in ages.

Honestly one of the best restaurants in the town of barnstaple, friendly staff, fantastic food, great atmosphere. During the pandemic me and my partner visited and the layout, cleanliness and treatment revieved was 10/10
