Not the best experience and possibly 1 of the worst roast beef Sunday lunch I’ve ever had. Alarm bells ringing when they provide a steak knife with roast beef! In fact it was needed to cut through the fatty gristle meat. Roast potatoes were obviously prepared a few days ago and reheated. Shame as I’ve visited before and it was really good.
Table service is non existent….. I was glad they didn’t have the cheek to apply the discretionary service charge.
When I paid £17 for roast beef I mentioned to the lady on the till that I thought the standard of food was poor….oh sorry was the response! In other words… I couldn’t give a F**k
I found the customer service wasn’t warm and welcoming. It was expensive, £14 for toast and humous. This cafe isn’t vegan friendly, take care if you have intolerances or allergies, a mistake was made, despite letting them know twice. My partner enjoyed his lunch though. We were taken in by the location and the sunshine, but will go a little down the road next time. There was a lot of building noise and dust, with no acknowledgement of this. I won’t visit again.
Smallest cheesecake in the world. Every visit cheesecake tends to get smaller and smaller . £3.95 for a biscuit size of a cheesecake it is a theft. Get a grip Nero owners. Is this the way you reward your customers??
I was traveling down south through Frome and stopped here a bit late in the evening. I was quiet lost with finding out everything I needed for the next day. I was given plenty of information and help. The owner of this pub is an absolute Gentleman, The pub atmosphere is very friendly concidering its a small area and many lsmaller areas are not favorable to strangers. I'm looking forward to going back again.
The refurb of this place is of a very high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food lets it down. Primarily, if you don't like burgers or fish and chips, find somewhere else. I visited with a friend and although my fish and chips were good, my friends meal was first served on completely cold vegetables. On pointing this out to the waiting staff, she offered a replacement which, we expected would be a plated meal with hot food. Unfortunately it was delivered as a pile of veg and potatoes thrown together in a tin dish. Not ideal and a real disappointment. Probably would not visit again.
Having walked up and down the many many offerings in Stratford, we popped in for a light lunch with kids. Upon entering not given the warmest of welcomes and sat down with menus. No kids menu and loads of choices crossed out with biro on the main menu. Very odd - why cross out with biro? Obviously not just something they’ve ran out of on the day. Having looked at the very expensive offerings, we decided to leave and go elsewhere. £10 for a Toastie. £11 for a ham and cheese croissant. All sandwiches £10+…..nothing kid friendly. Looks like we dodged a bullet. Found much cheaper offerings close by, great food, great welcome, much cheaper. Be warned…!!!
Awful! Feel like I've been robbed of £100! Family lunch for my birthday, had a long wait for the table then had to sit and wait for someone to attend to us for around 20 mins. All staff looked harassed. Coffee worse than average, food not tasty, could have made better at home! Service very poor and prices ridiculous for the standard of the whole experience. Avoid! Definitely don't go on your birthday, you'll be left disappointed!
Really disappointing meal
Visited for family dinner prior to a wedding
Food arrived at the table warm at best, scampi and chips allegedly with garden peas.
It was not well presented and the peas were a colour last seen when I had a school dinner many years ago. The restaurant area was dark and not what I had expected from a venue that promises a luxury wedding experience!
Last orders were called at 21.30
Overall a poor and disappointing experience which was on a par with the poor quality accommodation we stayed in
Let's start with the positives. The staff are friendly and attentive. The positives end there.
If you don't fancy reading on - save yourself a disappointing experience and find somewhere else to go.
The Arancini was pathetic, tasteless and overcooked.
Bruschetta was tasteless with the exception of tomatoes which I'm fairly sure came out of a jar.
Calzone were the biggest disappointment. No exaggeration - 80% dough, and what little fillings there were tasted of nothing. Plasticky cheese, processed 'meat balls' and the most tasteless pepperoni I've ever had the misfortune to eat.
They didn't even pretend that the Parmesan was proper parmesan - it came in the supermarket style shaker, only with the label ripped off.
Basically we paid £50 for a meal that was almost entirely dough, - and I'm pretty sure that dough would have come premade on the bake of a Brakes Bros lorry - just like the other ingredients.
I can't remember the last time I ate a meal that was so devoid of flavor and nutritional value. Tasteless, low quality rubbish.
Wonder why the high street is struggling? Because too many places openly rip off their customers, just like these guys.
Pathetic.
Lovely cafe tucked away 1 minute from the hustle and bustle of the High Street. Friendly, welcoming staff, allow well-behaved dogs (especially handy when raining!), delicious food, we had a yummy lunch. Great place to visit for brunch, lunch, afternoon cuppa and cake. Near to the Bishop’s Palace, a great park and the Cathedral.
Called in to grab something to eat before seeing a show at the local theatre. The place was heaving, a wedding party, and we assumed they wouldn't have a table available or the time..but we were seated at a table immediately, the food was delicious and the service excellent, even though they were so busy. Will definitely return. Thank you!
Had a day out in St Andrew's on Saturday 11th May as it was a lovely day,so we pop in kinnettles Hotel for a few drinks. As there's outdoor sitting on the pavement so we get a table outside. As it was very hot day my friend took off his T-shirt,staff take our order with no issued at all didn't even mentioned or bothered about his not wearing a T-shirt. After our forth rounds of drinks, this man passed our table bend over to my friend in a impolite bad mannered way and tell him in my Hotel you can't dress like that and he walk away.We where shocking even other guests having a drinks think he was rude. I pointed out to the staff and she tell me not to worry about it, we didn't have a problem plus you guys where sitting outside.
The Owner should know better how to talk to Guests he was so unprofessional, and we will not be going back.
