A trip to Wells and we needed a snack so opted for the special. I had an egg mayonnaise on thick granary bread, a warm pastry and a latte. My partner had chicken baguette, white chocolate muffin and a latte. Total cost, an amazing £9. Well worth the money, nice food/coffee and pleasant staff.

Called in here bank holiday Monday for a quick snack but found the baguettes to be very dry as we was leaving I also overheard someone else complaining to the staff about how dry there baguettes were too. They maybe cheap but you still expect a fresh baguette when you order one.

A baguette, a cake and a drink for £4.50 - excellent value and the service is good too. Easy to find at the top of the street and it has a few seats inside and out to eat the delicious food and cakes.

The pasty’s are really delicious and I quite often get them from here - it always tastes fresh and a distant reminder of Cornwall. Good cookies however quite burnt around the edges. One member of staff is super friendly however the other one who forgive me if I’m wrong had an accent, on two occasions has been grumpy and unwelcoming. I paid and had no thank you or anything she just walked off which seemed a little rude, that’s all.

This is a great bakery to enjoy a great selection of food. For a quick lunch or treat this is the place to go in Wells. We have always found the cleanliness and friendly customer service (especially from Geo and team) to be the best. Definitely 5 stars

We visited here on a cold November morning looking for something to warm us up and this well run and well presented shop didn’t disappoint. The shop manager was so helpful when we asked what she would recommend as a nice winter warmer, we came away with hot latte coffees and the best mince pies i have ever had. They were warm, deep filled with a viennese pastry top, will definitely be going there again.

Really impressed with the pasties. Baguettes and hot drinks are surprisingly good as well. Not sure how many flavours the pasties offered but we loved all the 3 available at that time (cheese & onion, chicken, pork/apple/stuffing)

Visited this family bakery after a gentle stroke around Wells on market day. We had seen the bakery produce on offer at the market but considered it to be a bit on the extortionate side price wise. However on passing Parsons bakery we saw that all the outdoor tables were occupied and limited seats available inside, we soon found out why, on purchasing two of their delicious Cornish pasties, which we ate seated in premises, we found them to be so good we ordered a further four pasties and asked could we pick them up later, which we did at the princely some of £1.50 each. As compared with others priced in the region £4 each.Service excellent, food and value excellent, will definately call again when in the area.

We were in Wells for the Christmas Carol service at the Cathedral. When walking through the market we passed the Parsons Bakery shop right on the corner and noticed the sourdough range. We love real sourdough and bought a couple of loaves, the white and the seeded. We were pleasantly surprised by service by the staff and the price, cheaper than even some supermarkets and definitely cheaper than our local bakeries. We have now tasted them now and were not disappointed. You can even sit outside and enjoy watching the world go by. I would definitely recommend this bakery for its produce especially the sourdough.

Whilst i/we don't visit this place very often, the consistency is the in the total lack of customer service skills possessed by the staff who are generally rude and ignorant! You can always be sure of a "grunt" rather than a helpful "what can I get you", I don't think I have ever heard any of them say please or thank you to a customer from the obvious management down. Although, if you are partial to a scowl that could turn milk sour, you are sure to be served an extra large portion!Perhaps if you are going to have "friends" leaning on the edge of the counter, more interested in conversation with them over actual paying customers, and those actual paying customers are therefore an inconvenience to you whilst you're engaging in local gossip, you should rethink working in a customer service roll?As said, we have been in on a few occasions and always receive and observe the same poor attitude, so this time will probably be the last!

We were drawn in by the array of old favourites such as lardy cake but the flavour didn't live up to expectations. There was a poster disp6kayed showing a doorstep sandwich of bacon or sausage but on requesting one we were told without apology that there were no sausages or bacon available, so a big disappointment

We stopped here for coffee and enjoyed sitting outside on a chilly autumn day. The coffee was excellent value at £1 per cup and the bread pudding was really good - moist and full of fruit.

We called in and asked for any rolls. The woman scraping the tray didn't even look up and just said "No". Went back the second day and asked if they had a small wholemeal which merited the same woman saying "We don't do them". I don't think we will visit again however good the fayre and prices are!

We stayed for one night after Xmas shopping at the Clark’s village in Street. This lovely Inn with rooms is only 5 miles away. The welcome and check in from the lady at the desk were fantastic. She was naturally polite and helpful, not put on at all. Our room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed and lots of hot water for a relaxing bath. Homemade cookies were a nice touch too. We ate in the pub and can also say that this was a lovely experience with great food and a roaring fire. All staff were very friendly and provided fantastic service. Breakfast the next morning was also great with locally sourced ingredients. We will return, Thank you.

My wife and I both have Shepton connections but had never been to the cafe before. Having g recently retired, we called in for a toasty and a sandwich. The food selection is brilliant, prices really reasonable (no £8 sandwiches here), and the staff really friendly. Sadly, the cafe is up for sale but we really hope to get the chance to return before it closes or goes upmarket.

Booked a table for family of five for Halloween Service was polite and friendly, didn’t have to wait too long for our order and the meals were all hot quantity & quality was amazing. We all had fish & chips but there are other options of things to eat. Definitely value for money and will definitely be returning again

The refurb of this place is of a very high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food lets it down. Primarily, if you don't like burgers or fish and chips, find somewhere else. I visited with a friend and although my fish and chips were good, my friends meal was first served on completely cold vegetables. On pointing this out to the waiting staff, she offered a replacement which, we expected would be a plated meal with hot food. Unfortunately it was delivered as a pile of veg and potatoes thrown together in a tin dish. Not ideal and a real disappointment. Probably would not visit again.
