Really disappointing vegan range in stock

Went in before 7 today to get a few bits and there was not one proper till on. You have to scan your own shopping with a camera in your face. Absolutely will not be returning. Sainsburys used to be a company that appeared to pride itself on quality and service.

Nice place to do your weekly shopping. The staff are friendly and helpful, within the main store itself, and the Argos aspect. There is a large selection of clothing, household items, electrical goods, available to purchase. The store also holds a small Argos store; which has a large selection of goods in-store. And you can also order items online to collect, at a later date. The in-store toilets are clean and smell clean. The in-store Sainsbury's cafe has been replaced by a Starbucks branded café. Which seems to be separate, with its own branded cakes and sandwiches. The seating is comfortable, which has a number of different seating options.

Service ok just like any other sainsburys

This afternoon, Wednesday 18th December, I spoke to an assistant in customer services. I said that yesterday I received a Nectar Card voucher for 750 bonus points. However, is was valued from the 10th to the 16th December, which ment that it was out of date. The assistant showed the vouch to his manager, and I distinctly heard him say "it was the fault of the post". A interesting comment; the voucher was valid from the 10th December therefore, for a customer to take full advantage of it, it should have arrived before the 10th, and logically be posted on the 8th. We're only talking about pence here, so money's not issue. it's the principle.

Popped in to collect a couple of online orders. Also bought a couple of things I can never get on my weekly online order.

Great shopping experience and fab coffee shop too

Worst experience in a supermarket for a long time. I spoke to four different members of staff, the first I approached to see if there was any more of a vegetable in the store as the shelf was empty... the reply was matter of fact and expressionless 'not if its not on the shelf'. The second told me quite briskly that the self service checkout was available as I queued for the normal till, I replied that I have alcohol so a member of staff would have to see to me regardless, her reply was to inform me that there are four members of staff in the self checkout area... well maybe they are best using the actual checkouts to serve customers in that case? I may as well have gone to the self checkout because the next person was mute and then rude and unhelpful when I tried to redeem a voucher, not redeemable for alcohol, no problem but maybe time to check your manners. The final point of contact was no better, queued for the customer service kiosk to inquire and hopefully place an order for collection to be spoken down to for the final time, directed to a sign 'online orders only' in a very dismissive manner. Not a store I will return to, maybe its time you take a look at the policy for how to talk to customers. Customer service should still be important and valued in the retail industry. Don't like your job? Get a new one.

Now that most of the tills are gone and it is mainly self-service; I won't be going there anymore.

One of my products would not scan and after they came over for the third time the man said you can't have it, took it off me, didn't offer an alternative and in my opinion was very rude, I will not be shopping there again as I have had great customer service in Morrisons, so will be going there in future even though it's a bit further away

Plenty of parking. Not a very long wait at the tills.

Shopped here as an honest customer for 6+ years; they've now hired a new security guard who thinks aggressively shadowing me the second I step into the store is 'doing his job'. Looks like I'm now a Tesco customer!

Improving range of organic veg, now need to work on sustainable groceries like line caught fish and grass fed local meats please. Was interested in the claimed Aldi price match as my shop hurt my pocket this week

Nice staff and usually well stocked.

Has what you need at prices to make you feel a bit sad. Is one of the more expensive "big" supermarkets but if you want to live the middle class lifestyle, do a weekly shop here. Lidl is close, shop there, top up here. Sorted..

Very nice Sainsbury's, The usual good choices at reasonable prices. Don't forget to use your nectar card, else it could cost you an arm and a leg 😁

Sue on the self checkout on the 27th of may, was incredibly helpful and very kind.

Most times very good, but stock runs lows and sometimes the staff are having a bad day.

Used to like shopping here, being vegan, sainsbury had a good range of vegan scoff, now, unfortunately, the powers that be, have decided to stop having a large range and we now have about half a shelf. Pathetic.

Nice little shop with what you need

Lovely coffee and cake. So popular was a bit cramped in-between tables. Lovely staff cheerful and happy. Would have given 5 stars if it was a but more wheelchair friendly.

Normal supermarket can't complain never been a fam of sainsbury but while in the area needs must and all it wasn't the cleanest it was a little under stocked but whilst my choices were not there they did have others to satisfy.

I attended sainsburys this evening and brought some prawn cocktail crisps and some fruit I paid for it then left my friend who's name I will leave annonmis realising she had some money so she went back into the store and we were approached by someone who's gender I will not make assumptions on and they said have I paid for the praw cocktail crisps and fruit which I was eating and I said yes and they said well I didn't see you pay for these items and will have to check the security cams I said we have just paid for them but carry on they then walked over to the place where I am guessing the security cams were and they got loads of the workers to follow them probably to make them feel in power they then walk out with the security guard and just walked straight passed me and my friends so I walked up to them and asked if we could pay for then new items that we equipped they said well ye but u have to pay for other items aswell and I said NO because we had already bought them and they said we that will be stealing them then we brought the new items and left I then found the receipt form the prawn cocktail crisps and fruit and went back it and showed it to them and they said just get out because they new I was right so I would no recommend this shop.

Busy as usual with Christmas shoppers.

Terrible place to buy fuel. It's one of the more expensive places in the region and not good for locals. Essentially, we pay the Clarks Village tax if we fuel up here. I travel to Gloucester most days where the Sainsbury's petrol is 8-10p/ltr cheaper than in Street.

Useful large store. Clean and tidy

Just about everything you could possibly need in a weekly shop plus a fair selection of clothes. Necter card helps with good offers. Sadly the pharmacy is no longer in shop

Good food but the shop is rather too small for the growing number of people who use it... it's also looking very old, not enough space to shop and cash out with comfort

Went shopping at 2.15pm, and it was actually a pleasure. Not so many people, and went straight through the till. 🥳

Nice small supermarket, didn't have everything I wanted, but at the end of the day I didn't complain about what I came out with and will be going again when next that side of Somerset

At a time of day with more members of staff in the store than shoppers, and three miserable crows preferring to chinwag for minutes rather than attend the one customer awaiting assistance at the self checkout, one finally deigned to grace me with their presence. I thought the policy was "challenge 25", but this officious bitter member of staff seemed to thing I'm a spring chicken. I didn't have my ID on me as I'd only nipped out to the shop, but I am very clearly visibly over the age of 18, or 25, without question. They were not 'just doing their job', they were chinwagging and then being intentionally awkward just to exert what little power they have in their pathetic little world. I shan't ever be shopping in any branch of Sainsbury's in future and will recommend the same to my friends and family, I'm not going to line the pockets of a company that employs staff who slack about and power trip. Absolutely disgusting customer service from Sainsbury's.

if you want to get ripped off in petrol and inks and other products this is the place for you. its fantastic. even the sainsbury in bridgwater is cheaper how is that possible.

Well stocked with an Argos stashed away in the corner. Cafe is really good too!

A 12 minute walk from where I live or 4 minute drive, so very accessible! Has a great selection of products at varying prices, including some lovely gluten free products and ones I've bought from other supermarkets. The Starbucks inside is super convenient and a lovely place to stop in before or after a shop. Have had great service from Sainsburys, Argos and Starbucks all had brilliant service although it's a bit hard to find a colleague at times when you have questions.

Was ok but everything moved around, so got to try and find it. Don't sell dvd,s anymore.

Not what it used to be, I used to love shopping at Sainsbury's, but it's just not the same anymore, No fresh counters , No atmosphere, although staff friendly enough

Sad that your staff left a pensioner that had waited so long to be served to unpack and scan his trolley full himself while 3 staff stood doing nothing except watch all your other self serve customers. When i asked to see a member of customer service i was flatley told short staffed!!!! Sorry sainsburys big fail

It's so much better so now i share my shopping with the other big supermarket in the UK. More realistic prices and stock at my local plus a coffee chain.

Everything I need when I need it. Prices are good if you have a nectar card and their own brand of food is actually really nice and well priced!

Self scanning checkouts too small for a big shop, either make them bigger or put more staff on the manned checkouts. Too long queuing today.

Very busy got most things but milk always short. Don't expect to exit quickly as they rely now more on self service check outs, Saturday, a naturally a busy day , they only had 2 normal tills open, the poor girls working them were really struggling so long lines of people soon built up but no more tills were opened to help

Great supermarket with Starbucks

Cold very cold couldn't get out of there fast enough

Not a bad store but felt disorganised and maybe not the best to navigate with delivery or overstock cages everywhere in the chilled aisles... Also a lot of staff seemed more keen to socialise than move those cages or serve customers

Sainsbury exist to keep the riff raff out of waitress, jokes aside, top store as supermarkets go. Good home selection, clothes etc., friendly helpful staff and an Argos in store. What's not to like?

Do my big shop here, prices ok, same as pretty much the rest. Sometimes get frustrated by the lack of tills open when it's busy!

The range of food is ok but more expensive than other stores in general. Sometimes their offers undercut others. Staff are polite but short numbered leading to unnecessary queues at the checkouts. The store is always cold, a little dingy and very dated which doesn't lead to a particularly pleasant shopping experience.

Well laid out and well stocked store. Friendly staff - lots of parking spaces available and parent and child spaces - full disability access throughout and disabled parking spaces available too. Petrol station also on site. Store carries clothing + homeware along with expected groceries,
