First time here, Mac & cheese about the best a Mac & cheese can get, just fantastic, Roast beef though, my missis couldn’t cut through it so asked for a steak knife and still struggled, For some reason it looked the part and apart from being very very tough it tasted nice but totally impossible to eat, Vegetables raw as well, I hope they get it right as it’s a nice venue but won’t be going back for some time.

Went with my dad and we nice loved the atmosphere and the food. I had the 8oz steak and he had the roll of belly pork and both were excellent. Large range of meals you can pick from all superb. Would definitely recommend!!!

We visited on a Saturday evening as we were staying nearby. My boyfriend ordered the pork belly, and I opted for the gammon. Both dishes were delicious, although the gammon was extremely salty, so I couldn't finish it. However, the chips that accompanied it were absolutely incredible! We enjoyed our meals so much that we decided to return the next morning for breakfast. I had the smashed avocado, eggs, and bacon, while my boyfriend went for the pancakes. To be honest, I would have preferred the avocado to be plain rather than mixed into guacamole, and it would have been better served on a crunchier bread like sourdough.

The ambience and the vibe is really relaxed and the customer service is good. The roast dinner was disappointing, the beef was very good but there was way too much on the plate and the carrots and parsnips not cooked. I’m a huge fan of roast potatoes and didn’t like theirs, not crunchy, not fluffy, a bit hard and the food was piled up on top of itself and it was a bit off putting. Get a child’s portion if you eat a medium sized amount, not one of us finished, even me, and I’m a healthy eater. Puddings really nice though, but please, sort out your roasts!

A first class breakfast where everything was straightforward. The food was delicious. I had a full English and my mum had avocado/poached eggs and bacon. We were well looked after by the staff who seemed very happy!

I’ve been here a few times now for brunch, lunch and coffee with friends and family. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The area can get noisy but that can’t be changed. Food is excellent quality, well cooked and good value for money. Happy to go again :-)

This was our 1st visit but wont be our last. We had a family bank holiday lunch get together. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff we come across, they were very friendly and engaging. Our food was really nice. We all had different and there was no complaints by anyone. We even got a take a way box given to us for left over pizza. Will defiantly be back and will recommend to everyone

Came across this by pure luck but what a find. Not from the area but will certainly be returning. Ordered the Sunday roast beef, loads of meat, veg and roasters and perfect gravy. If you have a big appetite this is the place to go and priced at £17 very very good value for money. Can’t comment on dessert as we were to full up. All washed down with a lovely pint of cold lager. Keep the good work up and all the very best !!!

We were meeting old friends who live in the area at the Holcombe Farmshop & Kitchen. It is a little gem. Rustic & old on the outside , contemporay on the inside. There is indoor and outdoor eating areas.Quite a broad lunch menu, and the service was good as well. The real winner was the food, large, wholesome and tasty. After having a starter and main course we were all stuffed and had no room for puds. The car parking for a dozen cars or so, we got lucky! Also the building is situated on a corner of a busy road, be careful when you cross.

We stayed for one night after Xmas shopping at the Clark’s village in Street. This lovely Inn with rooms is only 5 miles away. The welcome and check in from the lady at the desk were fantastic. She was naturally polite and helpful, not put on at all. Our room was very clean and spacious with everything we needed and lots of hot water for a relaxing bath. Homemade cookies were a nice touch too. We ate in the pub and can also say that this was a lovely experience with great food and a roaring fire. All staff were very friendly and provided fantastic service. Breakfast the next morning was also great with locally sourced ingredients. We will return, Thank you.

My wife and I both have Shepton connections but had never been to the cafe before. Having g recently retired, we called in for a toasty and a sandwich. The food selection is brilliant, prices really reasonable (no £8 sandwiches here), and the staff really friendly. Sadly, the cafe is up for sale but we really hope to get the chance to return before it closes or goes upmarket.

The refurb of this place is of a very high standard and the staff are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the food lets it down. Primarily, if you don't like burgers or fish and chips, find somewhere else. I visited with a friend and although my fish and chips were good, my friends meal was first served on completely cold vegetables. On pointing this out to the waiting staff, she offered a replacement which, we expected would be a plated meal with hot food. Unfortunately it was delivered as a pile of veg and potatoes thrown together in a tin dish. Not ideal and a real disappointment. Probably would not visit again.
