At a time when we should be supporting local businesses, I feel really upset writing a damning review, but it's also at a time when you want value for money and good customer service. We will not be returning and we certainly will not be recommending to friends. The customer service was mixed depending on what you asked, the portion sizes were tiny, and not that tasty, definitely not worth the money. No soft edges with candle light or music, no complimentary welcome drink on the weekend before Christmas, before you even start to unpick an overpriced, underwhelming menu! Came away almost in shock with the experience, to then read some reviews saying it the best restaurant in Exmouth, ... er no! The most bizarre. I wish the owners success, and I hope that they can reignite the passion for their restaurant, because the spark wasn't there on our visit.

Clean, well presented, really Friendly staff with a good of drinks, ice creams and cakes. I went with a luxury hot chocolate and marshmallow cake, my daughter had blueberry cheesecake and milkshake made with her choice of fresh ice cream made on the premises snd my boring husband had a pot of tea, which he topped off with a not so boring banana cake. It was all delicious and the best find of the day

Another perfect visit to Aby's. It's our go to place in Exmouth for very good reasons. The owners and staff are fabulously friendly and hospitable and the food and beverages are excellent. In our opinion the best place in Devon, not just Exmouth. And Devon has some lovely eateries!

Came here as a family of five, over three generations. Food was amazing and staff very friendly and accommodating all our requests. Will definitely be visiting again.

Well, had to pop into the bakery for a hot pasty, nothing compares to a LARGE cornish pasty, straight from the oven and it was gorgeous, even bought a couple to take back home to Wales, lol. The smells are fabulous and all through the town the scent of baking hits you, not cheap though at £4.55 for a large pastie but so tasty.

Food was uninspiring and bland, i would have been embarrassed serving it up to friends, margarita worst ever (probably had about 1% alcahol) and tasted like it came out of a pre made cocktail bottle ( definetly not expertly made as per drinks menu), example of how bad food was ...patatas bravas was simply over boiled potatoes cut up into wedges and some kind of tomato sauce plonked on top...all in all left deflated and £75.00 poorer!!! Only positive...staff were lovely.

We stayed for a long weekend during early March and we had glorious sunny weather. The location is perfect right on the seafront and staff are friendly. Our room was small but we had a lovely sea view. The negatives were that the hotel looks really shabby from the outside with peeling and dirty paint and black plastic stuck in the middle of the hotel. Our water wasn’t very hot and they said they didn’t know what was wrong, as well as the bathroom being a little bit scruffy. The worse thing for us was the fact that you can’t open the windows, the room smelt musty and like other people, even with the air con on it was stuffy all the time we were there. Compared to other Premier Inns, this one felt like money needs to be spent on it, despite its fantastic location !

The best beer in Exmouth.Great service.Only downside was the loud foul mouthed bald headed guy that used the F word in every sentence which my Mrs didn't want to hear constantly. We've ran several pubs before and appreciate it is difficult to tackle. It didn't get any better when children sat with him. Will definitely be back though if not with the wife.Loved the Verdant beers.
