Well, had to pop into the bakery for a hot pasty, nothing compares to a LARGE cornish pasty, straight from the oven and it was gorgeous, even bought a couple to take back home to Wales, lol. The smells are fabulous and all through the town the scent of baking hits you, not cheap though at £4.55 for a large pastie but so tasty.

This traditional Cafe offering a very typical selection of West of England food, has at its roots a Cornish flavour. The very name 'Warren's' has long associations with the Peninsular and goes back a long way. The Bakery is extensive and covers vegetarian and flesh options. I have always found the staff very helpful and friendly, and the food well cooked to an excellent standard - to sample basic West Country food this is the place for you

Purchased two marshmallow cones for children which were labelled with a green V. Looked suspiciously chewy. Emailed company who confirmed they contain animal gelatine. No apology but told they would change shop label. Today (two days later) green V still present on label. Emailed again and told shop manager contacted today and label removed but after three emails I had to ask for an apology and no offer of refund or reassurance that other bakery good are not mislabelled. New product is a vegan pastie but company not confident which ingredients are suitable for vegetarians never mind vegans.

Las mejores empanadas de la ciudad. ahora tienen una zona de asientos para unos 12 personas. Pruebe el filete pasty y sentarse en el centro magnolia para comer. Sólo ten cuidado con las gaviotas robando su cena.

Saw the advertisement this is oldest cornish pasty makers in the world so came to try it. There's seating inside, we decided to stay in and ordered two medium pasties a tea and a mocha. Disappointedly there's no serviettes and they stick it in paper bags and cups. No toilets, use public ones across the road. Had to force a conversation. Nice pastry and filling. My Devon relatives said you can buy them frozen and bake at home. There's also saffron buns and more flavours available. Worth a visit if you go to Exmouth.

Great pasties, probably the best I've had in Exmouth. Yes, they may not have what you want, but it's a tiny shop. Pasties with proper steak in, lovely stuff.

Went into town to buy scones. Warren's had three currant scones and three cherry scones. It was a Saturday morning at 0930. The town was so busy and yet.....a shortage of scones. The woman behind the counter told me it was because she had been told she could not "bake" scones at the same time as pasties. She also told me that. Exmouth was a "quaint" place and this is how " they" liked it. I think she meant archaic and desperately short of the foods customers would like. Not a cheese scone here. She kindly offered to sell me frozen scones, but I declined her kind offer. What a shambles.

Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!
