Gingerbread house cafe is a lovely local coffee/breakfast/lunch spot on the high st, just up from the beach. I recently ordered a cream tea for two box to be delivered to my mother for her birthday as I live far away. She loved it, it was fresh and delicious and included sandwiches, scones, clotted cream and all the fixings, and she couldn’t have been happier to be surprised on her birthday with a friendly face and a special delivery. They are also very active in the community and offered free lunches for school kids during Covid. A great cafe!

Met my husband for breakfast after he'd been walking the dog up on Woodbury Common. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff as per usual. But... our dog was really over heated, cafe owner and his team didn't bat an eyelid when I asked for a towel to be soaked in cold water and wrung out so I could cool the do down. A bowl of iced water was brought over and a doggy ice cream! They were all lovely! Definitely stop for coffee and cake, or a fry up. Even better they sell delicious locally made patés.

despite recent bad reviews , this small business was a delight. we were greeted upon arrival and the food we ordered came quicker than expected. we ordered a brie, bacon and cranberry panini and a coronation chicken sandwich both of which were lovely. the ladies who served us behind the counter ensured we where happy with the food throughout.we will definitely be returning to the gingerbread house again.

We visited the gingerbread house for tea and cake, the tea was ok but you needed to dunk your cake as the were so dry, in fact there was more moisture and flavour if I had licked the really sticky tables, this place shouldn’t be serving food

Visited the Gingerbread house today. The Cornish Paste I was served with was worse than stale. It should have been thrown away about 3 days ago.

Great cafe! After a week of being in the area, 14 Miles East is definitely my go to when I’m back in town. Service is always extremely good and food & coffees are great. Open fish sandwich was 🤯 thanks team!

We had a nice roast dinner today with tender meat and lots of vegetables, however the Yorkshire puddings were disappointing.

We visited this pub for a Sunday lunch it was very noisy music was far to loud . I had what was supposed to be roast pork but the meat was brown which still had string on it . Usually pork is white . Hence I didn't even touch it . Just had a plate of veg my husband ordered a lager top which normally is lager with a top of lemonade but his was done with blackcurrant instead . Definitely won't be returning couldn't wait to get out of there
