Came here as a family of five, over three generations. Food was amazing and staff very friendly and accommodating all our requests. Will definitely be visiting again.

The service was good, staff were friendly and the burgers were amazing. A small independent bar which I believe could be a micro brewery. Rubys is the resident kitchen at the grapevine and I would highly recommend anyone to go. They do not take bookings and we went mid afternoon so wasn't too busy. The milkshake and the beer was also very good.

Went here on the last day of our Exmouth break. Not much to look at from the outside but don’t let that put you off as it has a nice atmosphere inside (dogs welcome) and service was excellent. We were seated and served within minutes, all food was served fresh and hot and the burgers tasted amazing. Highly recommend!

Burgers have been slipping steadily down ruby kitchen unfortunately. My last visit was pretty poor. The burger was burn. They used to be beautifully moist with a bit of rare meat in the centre. I paid for the extra topping of blue cheese and it was no bigger than a 2cm x 2cm bit of blue. When I asked if that was all, the chef told the waitress that he had given me extra top.

Went for a quick pint and some food and was surprised at how many be the food was. Little bit more pricey than some places for a bugger but definitely more than worth it. Great selection of drinks and some fun games to grab while you're waiting for your food. You can also see into the kitchen which is clean and tidy.

We've been a number of times, always a great time, quick service and delicious food. Perfect for a veggie and a meat eater to eat in harmony and enjoy a beverage from the grapevine. Thanks to team at both the Grapevine and Ruby's for many a pleasant meal and experience.

Came across this place & the menu looked good so had to try! Pub itself is lovely & cosy with plenty of seating, all the food on the menu looked lush & I could of defiantly eaten more then a burger I ordered the 'panko' & my friend had the 'ruby' - wasn't a long wait for food so they came out promptly, my burger was absolutely delicious, a great combination of flavours & really tasty. The burgers are served with fries & coleslaw which is a nice touch as I find must burger places now require you to order everything separately. Price is good, think I paid £12.50 - worth a visit, tasty food in a good setting

This place is great for a pub lunch/dinner!I visited recently with some friends and was really impressed with:- the food menu - plenty of choice of burgers/sides and salads which tasted great! I would recommend the beanie burger!- the beer - these guys brew their own beer and it tastes AMAZING- the service - staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner Ollie (or Oli?!) made time to come and talk to us and talk to us about the brewery. Great to hear about.- when we went - they had a local band playing some ‘feel good’ music which created a really great ambiance in the place.Definitely recommended and looking forward to going back!

Really enjoyed a family meal at the Grapevine this week. We went before 6pm and got 20% discount. Service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating; especially when my son changed his mind, well after we had ordered, with a request to go bareback!! I enjoyed a tasty veggie option (one of three choices) and the boys loved their Ruby and sweet potato fries. Will be returning xx

Just had a lovely lunch here. We were welcomed by a warming unique interior and friendly staff. The food was amazing, I had the “beany” burger, which was definitely the best bean burger I had ever had! My boyfriend had the “notorious PIG” which he also loved. There were plenty of vegetarian options as well:) Will definitely be coming back.

We loved Ruby Kitchen when it was in Exeter and we're so happy it's now moved to Exmouth. Amazing high quality burgers and sides, love that they try out interesting combinations too. Always well worth the trip to eat here.

Sad when this place closed in Exeter, but really happy it reopened in Exmouth. Small premises reminiscent of 80's style burger bars, not much room and often has live music which makes it very busy. Burgers and all types of chips are excellent, have visited many times and never let down. Good ciders too.

Living in Exmouth for so long thought it was time to try a ruby burger and wow what a surprise I had. This is probably the best burger I have ever eaten ( and that’s saying something ). The meals came out really well presented and piping hot, the fries were just an average set of fries, the slaw was nice to but thing that made this so enjoyable was the burger a great juicy patty well cooked with some really nice cheese, sauce was just the right amount and crispy bacon in a nice seeded bun. There were a few let’s downs which is why didn’t give a 5 the patty needed alittle more draining, as yes you should get a little on your plate but there was a lot, the drink that came with the meal ( Diet Pepsi ) was flat.

Being a Yorkshireman I know my beer, thr beer here was good but a bit flat and warm but that is a style and personal taste issue. BUT the burgers are superb. I travel to the states regularly and the burgers here are every bit as good as anything I have eaten. I had the blue which was tasty ,succulent and divine. With trimmings too, the pickle was great

myself and my wife went for a rare lunch date and decided on Ruby kitchen at the grapevine. We are the only people in the bar and sat near the kitchen serving hatch. I heard the chef mention to one of the barmaids to go upstairs and get some burger buns out of the freezer which sounded a bit odd. We both ordered the sliders which arrived about 20 mins later. The first bite and I could tell that the beautiful looking brioche buns were stale. We did mention to the waitress and had an appolgy also she offered to change them but we didn't have time. No money off was offered and we left almost £40 lighter with a stale taste in our mouths. Thing is it's supposed to be a gourmet burger but freezing brioche isn't the way forward

Oliver Bainbridge ran a great pub with a great choice of food, but since his preoccupation with the onsite brewery, catering has been farmed out to this burger joint. It's a far cry from what it once was and we (vegetarian wife) go elsewhere. It's a great shame for me, but I guess those burger fans amongst us will be well chuffed.I've commented before about beef that I've eaten all over the country, I can source better tasting meat on the internet from Scotland from a butcher with a Royal warranty. Ruby's burgers were bland in comparison, and frankly I'd rather make my own, and spend restaurant money on a cracking piece of fish, readily available in Exmouth!

Went here for a burger as used to go to their amazing diner in Exeter. The burgers still brilliant. Although, the fries were very disappointing only one choice, maybe due reduced menu. But just had no flavour. Miss the fat fries and also sweet potato wedges always a winner and compliment the burgers.

We had a disappointing visit to the Grapevine today, Sunday lunchtime. The burgers look fantastic, however once we'd started eating it was clear that both were undercooked, close to raw in the middle. This of course can happen but it was the way that it was dealt with by the staff that was the problem. Initially we were told that their burgers were supposed to be 'medium rare' which I didn't see on the menu or advertised anywhere and is great and safe for steak but not so good or safe for burgers. One of the burgers was taken away despite both being close to raw at the centre. When the staff member returned he didn't have two fresh meals, instead he returned with the original burger which had been 'regrilled.' I found this unacceptable as food that had already been bitten into, contaminated by lips, teeth and at least two pairs of hands had been put back into the cooking process to touch cooking utensils etc. that are used to cook fresh food. On my second visit to the bar to try and sort the problem out i was offered fresh food but by this time I had lost confidence in the venue and was refunded the cost of the food but not the drinks. Things go wrong in all businesses and present excellent opportunities for companies to show their professionalism in putting things right. They do not seem to have systems/policies at the Grapevine to deal with unhappy customers, our problem could have been resolved quickly. Instead they have lost custom not just on this occasion but for the foreseeable future as I won't be returning in a hurry. I would imagine that I'm not alone in this decision as whilst Rockfish was full and other eateries were extremely busy the Grapevine was pretty much empty on a Sunday lunchtime. I hope they sort out the customer service soon along with the cleaning regime (the table was sticky and the toilets smelt unpleasant) as the burgers do look fantastic and the beer is great too. I really am disappointed that the experience was a let down.

The grapevine is my favourite exmouth pub so we go there often. Yesterday was the first time we'd tried out the Ruby kitchen food. I had the "Beany" burger with sweet potato fries and it was not only the best bean burger, but probably the tastiest burger I've ever had! I'm so looking forward to coming back again soon! We came early (5-6) and they offer an early bird price of 20% off so it came to £10 per meal and they didn't charge any extra to swap to sweet potato fries. Can't recommend enough.

We went Ruby kitchen after a lovely day on the beach with the dogs.I was a bit disappointed that there were only burgers on the menu, and they seemed a bit expensive (£9-£14-50). However the quality of the beef was astounding. I have never had such a tasty burger (and I make my own). There is a good selection of beers and ciders on offer, and the staff were very knowlegdeable The place is dog friendly, and dogs are great icebreakers! We met some lovely friendly locals. We left at about 08:00 as it was getting too crowded for the dogs. If we hadn't had them with us we would have stayed longer.

I've been a regular at the Grapevine since before it was the Grapevine and I liked the incarnation landlord Oliver had until last week.Went there Monday hoping for my usual good meal taken from a wide list of choices, but that's now down to one. I don't care what anybody says, a burger is just a burger and always comes with fries slaw a bit of pickle and a bun, and despite it being Devon Ruby beef it was not as unctuous and beefy as expected for the hefty price. That's not choiceThere's no fishThere's no Exmouth musselsThere's no steakThere's just one option for vegetarians and to top it all, there's no Dragon Tears cider and no lunchtime food. MacDonald's in a posh suit and evenings only I'm afraid! Very very disappointed

Eaten here a couple of times.Food and drink very good, and most staff very helpful and friendly..A nice pub..However ,one particular barman lets the place down.He is rude ,arrogant and unhelpful. He really isn't bothered weather he serves you or not..Our last occasion we walked out without ordering food.If i were the Landlord i would have a serious word with Mike to put him straight regarding his attitude. Apparently, according to the locals he is always this way..Not good.We are reluctant to return when he is on shift.Such a shame .Neil Jones Kidderminster ..

Our favourite restaurant in Seaton which has now unfortunately shut down which is very sad. We loved all the food, especially the dirty fries which are epic. They had a great selection of beers including Elvis juice which is my favourites. Good luck to the owner ( chef ) and his Dad who does front of house in whatever the do in the future.

We popped in for dinner on a quiet Thursday night at the end of October so weren't expecting much. The food was superb, the service exceptional and the atmosphere despite it being quiet was great. If you are stopping in Seaton or the surrounding area this place is definitely worth a visit.

Ate in the Bistro once for an evening meal, twice for breakfast and had a takeaway whilst on a recent holiday. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the bistro itself is dog friendly. I felt the menu offered me enough choice, (I can be quite fussy). Plenty of the ingredients are from the local area making use of other small businesses, which is a great philosophy to be able to have. Would definitely return.
