Came in with some family recently for brunch and we loved it. Sat in the naughty corner which was a great touch, and just about sums my nieces up!! We ordered an array of food, from blueberry & cream pancakes, bacon sandwiches, fruit scones to a bumble stack. The pancakes were fluffy & a massive portion with lots of whipped cream. The stack was delicious, especially loved the bubble and squeak! Everything was so well presented too. We’ll definitely be back, thank you Bumble & Bee team!

Ordered lattes and cakes, the lattes were nice, but in very small cups for the price...The cakes tasted good, but what was most disappointing was the fact that none of the cakes had descriptions or prices on and the staff member had to check the till for the prices. Staff should know these details off the top of their head and descriptions and prices should be on goods for sale...

Looking for a light bite and found this gem in the gardens. As soon as it was spotted on the menu, the 3 of us ordered the fish finger sandwiches for nostalgic reasons, the staff said the there would be a wait for them. The wait was worth it and the sandwiches didn't disappoint, huge flaky fish fingers on a choice of bread served with tartar sauce. I also had a can of their refreshing cider. Look forward to returning in a few months.

Looked promising but a massive dissapointment. I rarely review so if I do its exceptionally good or bad. Today was the bad. We went in for cream teas with pots of tea and cakes for the kids. It was busy with almost all of the tables taken. Ordered cream tea for 2 and x2 cakes and drinks for the kids. £19 2 scones, cream, jam, plates, knives were dumped on our table with 1 mug of tea (menu says pot for 2) and a tiny milk, bag still in the mug before the server vanished. We thought odd, maybe they are bringing a 2nd and waited a minute but saw the woman move onto other customers. We asked a lad nearby if we could have our 2nd tea and if it was supposed to be in a pot. He said he would check, but never return. Finally we had to push in the queue and ask again. Being told we had ordered a cream tea for 1 (the price and knive plate count says otherwise) The lady disgrunted and without a word dumped a cup and single pot of tea on the table - by this point the unwanted mug was overbrewed and cold (almost 30mins had passed) We gave up with getting the staff to fix their mistake and my wife ordered a 2nd pot of tea. Finally getting one for 2 people. No way we ordered a cream tea for one, so either staff didn't listen or get it right by were unwilling to admit a mistake or fix it. After all that scones were unimpressive and whole experience left a sour taste. If its busy avoid, staff clearly cannot cope.

The most amazing Brunch we've ever had!!! This truly is one of the best spots we have ever had brunch and we are a well travelled family. You can tell the food is made from scratch and prepared fresh. We indulged in Gluten Free Pancakes, Eggs Rara ( Bumbles take on Eggs Benedict , but served on a warm cheese scone with Crispy bacon ) and their Vegan breakfast stack. we also had their famous Honey and Lavender Scones boxed up for a take away cream tea later. You can tell a lot of love has gone into this little cafe, and it is evident that the staff love working here as they are always happy and polite and you often hear lots of laughter from them all. We could not recommend Bumble and Bee more. : )

Advice - They do NOT take cash, card only. Went in to buy coffee on Thursday 18th July 2024 and having ordered and handed over a £5 bank note, I was told in no uncertain terms 'Card only' rather rudely by the assistant, no apology. There were several of us in the queue wanting drinks, local volunteers, clearly displaying the group we represented. We were not even offered a glass of water! We volunteers cannot carry bank cards with us whilst working, we carry small amounts of money enough to buy a drink. They could have at least said 'sorry' we don't take cash, that would have been much nicer. It was proven this week with the mass computer outage, that cash still plays an important part in our lives. There are many other cafes locally and along the sea front that still take cash, please support them instead of Bumble and Bee.

Ordered a small cream tea with a coffee. Despite the extra shot the coffee still tasted weak and despite being in Devon, calling it a cream tea and the cream coming out of a Rhoddas tub it was whipped cream. Worst cream tea this side of LA. Also whilst I understand it’s busy in the summer I don’t think that’s an excuse for grumpy service. When it was pointed out the toilet was in dire need of a clean they got defensive. Don’t think I could recommend for the tea, maybe breakfast is better…

Warm, cozy, scrumptious and perfect! Seriously, how can a cafe on the edge of a park be so good? Clearly, the team is the answer. Great service and attention to detail. Happy people making and serving the food and a lovely ambience that comes from all the above. The food is divine, and I really mean that. We both had the Avo smash. Toasted sour dough topped with lashing of smashed avocado, topped with perfectly poached eggs. The plate was started with a beetroot puree, pickled beetroot, little chunks of salty feta cheese, and sprinklings of red amaranth micro herbs and to finish the plate off a sprinkling of black onion seeds. Blown away. I really didn't expect plating like this at all. The plate was perfect in both appearance and taste. Well done team Bumble and Bee, really well done. Good coffee houses and cafes are hard to come by in Exmouth, so I got z big surprise when i stumbled onto this place. The coffee was great and the staff were friendly and quick to serve us. The gluten free Cranberry cake was nice, but the icing seemed fake. There's plenty of other gluten free items in the cabinet to choose from. We got chatting to another table next to us, and their comments were "Off the menu and savoury were great, but cakes not quite as good". I wouldn't let that put you off as most of the tables inside were full. Plenty of outdoor seating ready for summer and the beach is 5 minutes walk away! You can take your 4 legged friends, but can only have them outside. Definitely one of the best places for that caffeine hit you're chasing.

The food is fantastic and the location and style of the cafe are one of the best in Exmouth. This is what keeps me going back. The experience is consistently let down by the staff though. If that were better I’m sure I would go more often. They are not terrible but a small improvement in attitude would make a big difference. Customers are ignored until the staff member is actually ready to serve them and mostly they can only almost smile at that point. I ask for my scone to be warm and it has a flash in microwave so short it’s only warm on the outside. It’s rare to meet such staff attitude these days as everybody is concerned about their reviews. It would not take much for the b and b to be absolutely 5 star. An experience at the Bumble and Tee in the summer was even worse. Empty cafe we were ignored for 15 minutes while the young lady finished washing up. No acknowledgment of the wait, no smile. There is something about either the staff employed, their training or their pay maybe? But they don’t come across as happy in any of the Bumbles. Business saved by it’s lovely food I would say.

Based in Manor gardens it's a small café/bistro serving hot and cold small plate food at reasonable prices. It's often very busy and I personally find the noise level too high to the point where it can be difficult to hold a conversation with people on your table. If you're looking for a quiet place this isn't it. Dogs are not allowed inside but in dry weather there are a couple of tables outside and they do takeaway drinks and cake to enjoy in the gardens. In the summer they have a serving hatch for ice creams (inc. dog ice-cream), drinks and snacks.

The place inside is lovely and clean, a great selection of cakes and scones as well as good customer service. However, this place is getting a 2* review due to the poor quality and quantity of the food for the price. We went for lunch and ordered a fish finger sarnie and a cheese and chutney sandwich; the former costing £8.50 and the latter £7.50. When it arrived it consisted of two slices of bread with its lacklustre filling. There was nothing else served on the plate with it. No side salad garnish, no handful of crisps or even a coleslaw. £8.50 for two slices of bread filled with four cheap fish fingers that were grey inside!! I understand we’re in a cost of living crisis but £7.50 for a cheese sarnie is ridiculous. I would only go here for the scones/cakes and tea. Completely disappointing otherwise.
