Such a huge improvement. The last couple that had this place were so rude. We had promised never to return however having sent was under new management we gave it another shot and I’m so glad we did, great food and really warm and hospitable service

This is a great pizza place. Very friendly service, interesting music in the background and a terrific choice of pizza. The pizzas themselves are not small, so be prepared. They also have a small but excellent choice of beers to go with the pizza, and not ridiculously priced. They also offer a delivery and takeaway service which you book direct (no additional charges to Deliveroo or Uber).

A wonderful surprise to discover this Sri Lankan takeaway in Axminster. They deliver to your door and the food is delicious. Really fresh and tasty and at a very reasonable price. Very friendly owners too. Highly recommended and will definitely be ordering food from them again.

Best burgers around! Perfect for date night

We popped across into this venue for the first time at 4:00pm to check it out. As the outside seating area was full we took our 3 german sheperd dogs into the empty bar to order some drinks. To say the barman was unfriendly is putting it mildly we offered to leave if he had an issue he begrudgingly said we could stay to order our drinks then proceeded to tell us about all the sold out beers he could not offer us Needless to say we left there are plenty of other venues in Devon who are dog friendly

Lovely little gem of a place down a pretty road almost next door to a pub. Pretty interior lit with lamps and candles providing a cosy intimate dining room.Thankyou for my gorgeous flowers, such a lovely touch 💕 Bring your own wine a great idea as its a good option, they do make delicious mocktails tho. We shared a gorgeous tasty chorizo starter and followed with tapas plates of meatballs in a rich tomato sauce, French fries, Spanish potatoes, chicken in garlic, mushrooms and greens, all beautifully prepared and served, very delicious. A good array of main meals and tapas and specials for Saturday. A nice reminder of portugal and it's cuisine. Thoroughly recommend. obrigada xx

04/17/2025. Special menu for Easter. Baked potatoes with bacon and cheese + 2 salads. Traditional waffle and vanilla ice cream. Very friendly staff and delicious food! I recommend!

We try to call in every time we’re in Devon as it’s easily the best coffee for miles around. The food is a delight - always freshly prepared and beautifully presented. The service is top notch by a knowledgeable and friendly team who really know their coffee and loose leaf tea. Clearly a popular place with locals and returning visitors. I always buy a few gifts here for friends who love the more unusual teas. Easy parking and dog friendly, too!

Since the boys took over, this pub has returned to a traditional pub with a fantastic atmosphere, showing sport, pool table, darts board and the service is fantastic :)

Wouldn't recommend to anyone. A women who im presuming is the owner or associated with the owner first slammed the door in my face while i was about to walk through it, this was for no reason other then i’m presuming i hadn’t walked into the building fast enough for her liking. Once she was inside and near the table where me and my friends were sat she continue to start an argument because there was currently only one drink on the table (we had drank the rest prior) insinuating we couldn’t be there if we hadn’t bought anything. She then continued to say we were being antisocial despite the fact she had just walked through the door for the first time since we had got there and no one had mentioned anything to us or had any complaints towards us because we were sat in the corner minding our business. I do believe this is based on age and appearance regarding the antisocial comment and us being the only younger ones in there, (there are also many other reviews specifically from younger adults saying how rude and unwelcoming she has been to them as-well). Then finally she told us to get out which we did because it would have escalated.

Family and friends night out. Lovely food , and well looked after, in fact excellent service. For a midweek night the restaurant was exceptionally busy, but this seemed to add to the atmosphere.

Whilst staying in Axminster, we wanted to explore the area and try lots of different cafes and restaurants. The Railway Kitchen kept coming up as an option on Google. It felt strange parking in the train station car park but the kitchen is well signed posted so we knew where to go. There was a great big selection of typical British breakfasts to choose from. Three cooked breakfast later, we were full and happy. There were lots of different conversations happening between clearly regular customers and the kitchen so it's lovely to tap into a nice community venue.

Finally a restaurant that knows how to do a proper smash burger! Juicy flattened patties with extremely crispy edges, seasoned perfectly. The food comes out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes are generous to say the least. Such good vibes here and lovely staff. We met the chef/ owner and she was so lovely and passionate about the food, thank you so much for having us!! We’ll be coming back here again and recommend to anyone visiting Lyme looking for some proper burgers.

Absolutely DELICIOUS take away! Boiling hot, tasty and fresh!!! Our driver was very nice also! Only thing to add would be more meat in the keema rice… but all was fab highly recommend!!!
