Excellent burgers, great service. Looking forward to my next visit.

A large group of us are in yesterday .. was served very quickly and staff were very accommodating.. food was great and cocktails were amazing

WOW 🤩 best burgers we’ve ever had!! On our hols. If only the cow and bean wasn’t 4 hours drive away from where we live, this would definitely be our chosen burger place every time for sure! Can’t recommend enough! We had the brisket and the tender rib burgers 🍔

With delicious and reasonably priced food along with a complimentary drink on arrival this place is just wonderful. It has the atmosphere of eating in your friends lounge and the service is impeccable.

I brought my friend from America to try out the burgers 🍔 and she was truly impressed by the choice, taste, quality, and quantity. They're so delicious 😋. We'll no doubt have them again.

Awesome food everytime I have been there, literally everything you expect from a decent burger joint. Highly recommend the filthy dirty fries and the brisket burgers are incredible the mrs loves the honey chicken, always check out the new updated menus if you get a chance. Good job guys :)

Love it! Amazing burgers! You won't find a better burger than this! Mushroom Blue (double) and Dirty Fries (cheese and bacon bits).😋 Not your regular burger but certainly something special. A bit pricey, but truly delicious!

Nicest vegetarian burger I’ve had! Lovely staff and well priced!

These burgers are epic. My wife had a pregnancy craving for the vegetarian burger so we ordered many of these over the course of 9 months. The veggie burger is the best I've tasted and it's so close to the beef in terms of taste I'm not sure how they do it. Whether you go for the vegetarian burger or the beef burger, you won't be disappointed. The owner and staff are great too. Highly recommend this place.

One of the best burger experince we have had so far in UK. My wife and I tried both veggie and beef, both were excellent.

Ordered over the phone with a very polite member of the team and collected the food around 15 mins later. Couldn't really ask for more prompt service! The food was very hot too, even after the trip home so we definitely cooked nice and fresh. The burgers (mushroom blue and garlic bacon) were outstanding, really tasty and filling. It's a shame we're not staying longer to be able to try more of the menu! The dirty fries were great, a really nice strongly flavoured cheese sauce and lots of bacon bits. But be warned, the portion is huge - one portion could easily serve two people. The only thing that let it down for me was the milkshake. I'd assumed (perhaps wrongly) that the milkshake would be a thick, ice cream based milkshake. Mine (banana) was just like simple milk with cream on top, nothing thick about it. Nice enough flavour, just disappointingly thin. Not enough to detract from a really good meal though.

I want to recommend Cow and the Bean. It is honestly my favourite restaurant. I always get the garlic bacon cheeseburger and the dirty fries when I visit. It's too delicious! Hopefully I'll get to come back and try something different because I want to try more things on the menu 🍔🍔

Yum Yum Yum Hands down the best burgers around. Came over from Lyme Regis after ordering on the phone. High quality food, cooked perfectly. The children meals are a good size which is really nice. Will defiantly be ordering again. Food also well packaged.

We were staying in Lyme Regis, stumbled upon this restaurant purely by chance and had the best meal of the holiday (regrettably it was our last night so we could not return!) The burgers, dirty fries and loaded cheesecake were outstanding, very fresh and authentically made. I would thoroughly recommend giving them a try if you are in the area.

Yum yum yum, found this place while here on holiday, lovely food, cleaned our plates, staff are so friendly just a great place to eat and drink, can't recommend enough.

I eat here really regularly and the food is outstanding. The guys in there are an incredible team who always make you feel welcome. Simply incredible.

The staff where friendly and went out of their way to be helpful dispite us coming in during a busy period with a 3 year old. Menu looked great with lots of interesting american fast food / comfort food such as burgers, mac and cheese etc. They seemed to not have enough menus as they asked for ours back when some more people arrived. Burgers where excellent, and hit the spot. I personally would have liked a few more options to customise my Burger. Some salad options with the burger would have been nice. The dirty fries where tasty. The cocktails 🍸 where excellent and are a unexpected nice touch. Prices where very reasonable. Ideal for families and get togethers with friends.

Amazing food it’s worth a visit for sure!

We highly recommend this restaurant it's just AMAZING. The food is incredible, Ella and her team are always so welcoming and doing such a great job. We are currently working our way through the menu and can't pick a favourite as they are all ridiculously good and the garlic fries are out of this world.

You have to eat here!! Best burgers ever! and I’m a burger eating man, eat in for fantastic service and music, this place is seriously good. Take away is so well packed it’ll still be warm and fresh when you get home, no one likes a burger in a damp bun and you won’t get one. Working through the menu, jalapeño is favourite so far.

Brilliant and personable phone service when preordering. Brilliant personal service when collecting. The burger as a meal was excellent, nicely put together, fab bun (seriously good bread - I want the recipe) , powerful sauces but not overly or heavy. The burger meat was clearly handmade with love, great flavour. I could not fault this if I tried.

WHO DOESN'T LIKE A SMASH-BURGER?? Lovely little gem in the middle of Axminster, fab menu, cocktails, great service. The perfect meal out with the family, or just for date night. May I recommend the jalapeno cheese burger? So yummy! Owner/operator Ella is lovely, and will look after you properly. Enjoy!

From the moment we walked in, Ella and her staff were nothing short of excellent!! The drinks, especially the cocktails, were to die for and the food was sublime. Our table had a good selection of burgers, fries and sides and everyone left full + happy 😍 We will be going again very soon, and I can't recommend The Cow&The Bean enough!!

The burgers are pretty tasty and the service is really good. Presentation needs a bit of work, maybe some salad on the side?

Fantastic service! Super friendly and helpful taking the order over the phone. Went through the menu and helped us make choices and managed to talk us into a cheesecake for dessert. The food was great, really tasty and good quality. Will absolutely be back!

It's sincerely one of the best burgers I have had in the UK. Comparable to what you'll find at good joints in the States. Garlic fries perfect accompaniment. Also super friendly order service. 10/10

Wow! Have you ever walked away from a place smiling your face off (under a mask 😂) because you just had such a nice experience? That's exactly what happened to me after picking up a takeaway from here. I was made to feel so welcome and at home from both the owner and the front of house staff, that I was literally refreshed by the experience. Even though I could only order for takeaway, i know that I want to come here for food and even just for drinks with friends after lockdown, there is such an awesome vibe and is just what Axminster needs more of. Cannot wait for it. I'd never eaten here before and decided we'd try it out. We had two American burgers and fries (and oh my goodness you get so many gorgeous fries). The burgers tasted fantastic, had the lovely melted cheese and the fries were just right. We will absolutely be ordering again and I recommend it to anyone. Thank you for such a lovely experience today and I look forward to having more and coming back soon. 😊

After everyone raving about it we ordered takeaway. It was a 2 hour wait which was fine as its just opened last week. Food, it's was okay nothing that blew my taste buds away. The bun was very nice! The frys were okay too. Cheese cake was nice but I think it was a non bake cheese cake. I can only give it a 3 as my husband that loves his food didn't even eat all of it as didn't think it was that good. :(. Such a shame! Prices were a little high for takeaway but if setting in can understand. I will give it another go sometime in the future and update my rewiew if has improved. So many others have very much enjoyed eatting here so don't let my rewiew put you off.
