Arrived Friday early evening 6:30pm and was looking forward to a burger only to find out the kitchen was closed! The venue was cold, dark and uncomfortable (old chairs that belong in a 70s community centre). This place is trying to be something it isn't. Never again.
We were out for the day, and my brother felt unwell, so we went into the coffee shop part of this restaurant and asked if he could sit for a while. The lovely server Jordan let him sit and offered him a glass of water. While there we could smell the carvery and asked if there was any space. They managed to fit us in table of 7! The food was beautiful! The service was top tier. And I would highly recommend to anyone coming down to Ilfracombe. We will make sure to visit again on our next holiday. ☆☆☆☆☆
Been coming here, whilst on holiday in the area, over several years. Standard of food and service improving all the time. This time it seems as though there’s been a big improvement since our last visit in August 2022. Staff very friendly, very helpful and very experienced professionals. Food was excellent; I had monkfish Katsu curry which was beautifully cooked and presented - tasted fantastic! My wife had fish & chips - beautiful fresh & white fish with dainty fries and a fresh pea purée. We followed this with sherry trifle and a soufflé - stunning desserts, again beautifully prepared and presented. We selected a gorgeous bottle of French Viognier to go with our meal - great to see Viognier on the wine list! You can probably tell that we really enjoyed this visit to one of our favourite restaurants. We thoroughly recommend this place for dinner and we will visit again when we’re next in Mullion.
Visited website. Ordered the sat before a Monday delivery. No delivery. No customer service. As yet no acknowledgment of not turning up, via email or telephone. Frustrating.
Excellent bacon sandwiches and coffee. High quality food in artisan coffee house. Go in the morning for the bakery specials as they run out. Lovely place in a small town on the edge of Bodmin Moor.
The still House is a remarkable venue with great local well cooked food and a modern chilled vibe. The owner Brendon is lovely and provided me with the perfect venue to hold my eldest sons wake (He would have loved it). With complete understanding of what we wanted and the perfect secluded venue for 50 people. Brendon supported us with a playlist and enable us to use his projector to play videos.
Pizzas were a great hit. Catering for veggie and gluten free (best gluten free pizzas). Fabulous wine, beers and local Brixham gin.
Everything was prefect. Thank you.

We had lunch at Wilks today and had a great experience.
The four courses and various extras were consistently excellent and interesting in their own way. The menu hung together nicely with seafood starring throughout paired imaginatively with various seasonal produce. At such a small venue you know you're getting the chef's full attention, and this really showed as all elements were perfectly cooked and presented.
The wine flight was well worth it with interesting and sometimes unusual (in a good way) wines complementing each course well.
James was friendly and made us feel very welcome & we apprecated the informal feel.
Would love to return in the future.
What a gem of a place this is tucked away in a side Street!
Lovely, fresh, home cooked food, served on “hot plates”. I had the bubble and squeak with poached egg and a flat white coffee, one word, SUPERB.
Would highly recommend this small but beautiful eatery! Well done Buffy”s, keep up the excellent work! 10/10!
We found this gem of a cafe by personal recommendation. Excellent breakfast food and coffee, very friendly proprietors, and the quirky decor and crockery make it one of a kind. Nothing is over-priced either. Thank you Mel and George, we will be back.
5 Market Way, Redruth, TR15 2AU, United Kingdom, England
The Marketway Café is in Redruth town centre, almost hidden within the quaint indoor Market and newly revamped Buttermarket. The very friendly staff efficiently serve well cooked hot and cold food at very reasonable prices.
We both opted for the delicious roast of the day which was Lamb, served with carrots, green beans, cauliflower, parsnip, broccoli, swede, cabbage, mashed potato and a roast potato all topped with gravy and a Yorkshire pudding, phew! It also came with a drink (we chose mugs of tea) and a choice of desserts, we had sticky toffee puddings and ice cream. All this for £9 per person!
It is easy to see why the Marketway Café is always so popular with both local and visiting customers. We will definitely be going back soon.
