Enjoyed a lovely bacon and egg filled sourdough toasted bap. Lush! Shared a scrumptious Ramble Jack with hubby. Nice clean surroundings. Friendly young staff.

Lovely place for lunch! Wide selection of lunches including filled croissants or freshly made breakfast wraps and an amazing selection of homemade cakes!
Popped in for lunch after walking the dogs at Steps Bridge, a truly traditional village tea room, a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble, small, select menu of panini’s, jacket potatoes, cakes and afternoon tea’s, all freshly prepared to order, absolute delight of a find, will visit again
Lovely little bakery in Bude City Centre, fantastic staff with a fantastic atmosphere, options to eat inside as well as out (which is helpful for dog owners), very reasonable prices and probably the best sausage rolls I've ever devoured 😁
5 stars every time ordered pizza delivery the pizza is always delicious and the guy that delivered was extremely quick wish I could’ve told him how great he was! Thanks guys
We went for lunch at The Caradon Inn for the first day that their new lunch menu was launched. There was an excellent choice of pub staples as well as a specials board. I opted for the steak cobbler and my wife opted for the a pie from the special board. The food itself was wonderful, although the large portions means that the tempting looking desserts had to be given a miss. Excellent service from Sam.
A good caring space with books, cards and excellent food/drink at reasonable prices. Such a pity that there is not enough resources (volunteers and cash) to keep it open.
I don't like writing poor reviews, but always try to keep a balanced view on any experience we have, reporting the good, the bad and the ugly.
We called in at Rise & Grind for coffee to take away having been for a wander on Plymouth Hoe.
Long queues out of the door so took a while to get served, had to repeat 3 times that we wanted our drinks to take away (a double espresso and a cappucino) - we were told 'we'll bring the drinks over to you' so stepped outside, the princely sum of just over £6 being taken.
5 minutes passed, then 10, then at around 15 minutes our drinks came out. My double espresso barely warm and the cappucino in a very small takeaway cup (I'd guess around 200ml instead of the usual 400ml 'standard').
Before this could be queried the lady serving had bustled off somwhere, so we cut our losses and left.
I'm not sure why it took so long to make 2 drinks, each espresso shot should take about 30 seconds. I appreacite it's not a 'Costa' or 'Starbucks' but quite often they have only 1 machine running and manage to make the drinks quickly and to the correct temp/size.
This was poor value for money in both time and product and I'm sorry to say we won't be returning
Indeed, again, my professional careers and training as well as educational experiences within five countries in Catering/private Service/Telecommunications/Customer Service/Retail/Care usually gives me the correct insight on quality in services (so I have been told by many people).
The prices seems reasonable. The food quality and cooking are ace! The service is sweet and the athmosphere is very "English soothing" like for enjoying a great English breakfast. The only minus? We asked for half of the full size for breakfasts, two teas and one coffee and it seemed a bit stiff money wise. Especially as I did mention it was my birthday and I, my self, would have at least given two free hot drinks (I learned that in France and Southern California in commerce, which is, do holistic gestures towards some customers as that is a good retention move for them to come back as much).
Still, Sally is just a golden nugget of a cafe owner and her staff walk their talk in service: merci!
