Lovely pre Christmas lunch, set menu is great value.

We have just moved to the area and love that we have this pub. Amazing carvery and food. Nice and cosy inside as well.

For a shop to say on their website they have the best cinnamon buns in the UK - they were distinctly average - they were dry and alot worse than other places I've been to. Visually they looked really good - so if all you wanna do is look at food I'd recommend going

Amazing chips!! Me and my daughter treat ourselves after she does rugby training on a Wednesday. Great atmosphere, the lady on the counter is always smiling.

I booked the venue for an event January 2025, they cancelled my event, took no responsibility, didnt care I had spent money advertising my event, even hung up on me when I looked for this for my loss at their pulling of my event, I would never ever trust this venue, my experience they didnt care,they suited themselves, absolutely disgraceful experience

The staff are real friendly and accommodating. Would recommend a visit. Note that the drinks are small but flavorful, so it's easy to draw up a bill if you're thirsty!

Great night out, music a bit too loud to have a conversation hence lost a star

I had the mixed crab sourdough sarnie. Beautifully made and presented in a box with crisps. My daughter had the white crab sarnie, which she said was so delicious. The coffee was very good too. Image of the white crab sarnie. Mine was so good, I forgot to take image.

What a little gem this is. We were recommended Williams by Shibumi down the road. We were not disappointed. Great food, lovely atmosphere & fabulous staff. Look forward to our next visit- would advise to book though.

Went for afternoon tea with a friend. Car park at the rear down a narrow drive. The entrance was well directed and level access. Inside it was a homely comfortable welcome. Staff were very polite, welcoming and friendly. There are steps down to the room we were in for tea but there was a level access available. Disabled access wc available. Everything was clean and bright. Tea was amazing, choice of beverages and a nice welcome of mulled wine with a gingerbread man. We had booked a traditional afternoon tea but there is a savoury option. When we booked we were asked about dietary requirements and on arrival staff checked again they had it right. Food arrived beautifully arranged on a tiered stand. Staff explained what was there and flavours. Choice of finger sandwiches (6 different flavours), freshly baked fruit scones with pots of clotted cream and jam, selection of small cakes (5 of each). Staff were attentive and refilled tea and coffee pots without being asked. Food was very good and plentiful....we were offered a doggie bag to take some home as we couldn't manage everything. Highly recommend this for a luxury afternoon tea.

Waiting staff are always friendly and food is great (ham + cheese toastie w chips and one of the best chocolate milkshakes I've ever had)

A firm favourite, it's always good to be here. The bar service has always been great, with a good range.
