This was our first chance to visit this restaurant during a holiday in Brixham - and I think it was the best fish and chips I have ever eaten. Until now, I would have said my favourite fish and chips were served up on the north east coast - but the meal at Simply Fish beat them. Yes, there are many many places where you can buy fish and chips cheaper - but the quality here is worth paying for if you are able to push the boat out. The restaurant was busy but we were seated quickly and by a smiling waitress. She took out order promptly and was helpful and knowledgeable. We ordered fish and chips and a bottle of French dry white wine. I also ordered a side of curry sauce. If you wanted something different from fish and chips the menu is extensive and offers lots of choice. The restaurant was prettily decorated for Christmas and the background music was a playlist of great tunes. Our meals and the wine came quickly. The wine was well-chilled and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The food was piping hot and the portions were big. As she brought them to the table the waitress smiled and said jokingly, 'Here are your whales!' The batter was crisp and tasty. The fish was white and full of flavour. The chips were crisp on the outside and fluffy inside. It came with delicious homemade tartar sauce and a chunk of fresh lemon. Luckily we were hungry and did it full justice. But we did not have room for a dessert, even though the selection on offer on the winter menu was tempting, I can't wait to go back and try something else on the menu.

Seated upstairs in a very cold room, under the air-con until which sadly was not on. Food was not hot and the plates were stone cold. 2 Rum cocktails were lovely as was the garlic pitta bread, however the whole ambience and disappointing meat feast mezze has put us off returning to a Greek restaurant in the future. The owner went on to say, he also owns OPA Greek restaurant in the city and we can go there and get 20% discount!

Came here for my Mother's Birthday meal, and really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. There was plenty of space, and the food was delicious. The spice grading system was especially useful for a table that had varying preferences. The meat was cooked perfectly (something I'm admittedly fussy about), and there was a great vegetarian selection. The kulfi ice cream was amazing, as was the masala coffee, which has now become a new favourite. Very reasonable prices, too, and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!
