Anatolia Restaurant in Mendip

Hadn’t booked but heard about it. They managed to give us a table for two. Staff were amazing and helpful in explanation of choices. Food was incredible. We felt really welcomed and were actually last out after chatting with staff. This is a hidden gem of a restaurant and really couldn’t fault one single thing including the atmosphere and lovely decor.

We walked in around 7.30 Sat night and luckily got a table for two, without a booking. Fast efficient friendly service. Noise level good ( my partner wears hearing aids so noise level is important for a good dining experience). Small room with ? 10 tables. Nicely set up with Turkish lights/ cushions. Comfy chairs. Food excellent - Iskender donor kebab with lamb, bread and yoghurt, mixed hot next plate with Turkish bread. Incl a desert and two glasses of wine, cost was 52 GBP. Recommended

Been a wee while since we had had a meal at Anatolias but lovely to see the palce again and gretted like old friends by Mo and his team as soon as we set foot in the door! The warmth of service,atmosphere and ( of course) the food and drink as as good as ever-freshly cooked and well prepared and seasoned and plenty of it! And a free liquer at the end of the meal!-whats not to like? We will be back sooner next time-thats a promise

Lovely warm atmosphere, chose from the lunchtime deal 2 course for £15.95,food was well cooked and tasty, staff efficient and friendly, would definitely recommend

I love it here, this was maybe my third or fourth visit. The staff are so friendly and helpful and the food is delicious. So much variety there is something for everyone. I like all the mezzes and deserts (baklava!) so good too. Thanks for making our family birthday celebrations so relaxed and enjoyable. We'll be back 💕

26th wedding anniversary dinner, so thought we'd give this restaurant a go, so glad we went there as it didn't disappoint ,we didn't have a reservation but was not a problem, staff were very friendly and the food was delicious, very big portions, would definitely recommend trying here.

After being recommended by a friend we decided to visit this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Service was fantastic, as was the food. 4 of us ordered chicken kebabs, and 1 ordered the lamb casserole. Delicious is all we can say. Desserts were also delightful. I'm not sure about the Raki, though 🤔🫣😂

4 of us dined here for my mam's 70th birthday. The food was all delicious and the portions generous. The staff were really kind and helpful, letting me prep the table beforehand with a balloon. Unbeknownst to me, they came out with a free slice of cake with a candle in and a round of shots on the house, and got everyone in the restaurant to sing happy birthday! It was such a nice touch, and my mam was delighted (if a little embarrassed!). The staff are a credit to the restaurant. Will definitely be returning, their authentic Turkish food is amazing.

Goodness, blown away by the food here. It was absolutely beautiful. Presented well and so so tasty. Staff were polite and service was great. In my opinion, one of the best restaurants in Carlisle. Looking forward to going again soon.

We previously went for a quick bite to eat and were impressed with the pide we had. So we decided to go back when we had more time. Great service, nice touch of the beer glasses being frozen. We had the platter for 5....thinking it couldn't be that big we ordered a pide aswell. Meal starts with a selection of dips and breads which were great....and then come the platter and salad. It was piled high lamb chops chicken wings and a selection of kebabs, rice and bread. The chicken kebab is probably the best chicken in carlisle perfectly cooked and seasoned. We really shouldn't have ordered the pide as we struggled to finish the platter. This is a must try

We had a family gathering last night. This was our first visit but it certainly won’t be our last. There were 12 of us plus a baby and toddler. We preordered sharing platters and a few extra dishes. The food was super tasty and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely view of the castle from our table too!
