Cannot fault it at all! The food was 10+/10! The best Biryani I have ever had - the chicken was so soft and none of the food was at all greasy. Food portions are great too!! Naan breads were huge, and the staff were all super welcoming and friendly. Tonight was our first visit to Chutney’s - we will definitely be returning anytime we fancy a curry! Thank you Rocket and all the team! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Fabulous food. This is my favourite restaurant in Marlow. The food is divine. In my opinion, it is far superior to The Hand & Flowers which has its following due to a celebrity chef and stars. Go to the H&F then go to The Vanilla Pod and decide. I'm sure you'll be pleased with The VP.

This really pains me, as I've been a staunch advocate, and very long time customer (around 15 years) of The Coriander in Bourne End, and Amersham. The takeaway from Bourne End recently was very poor! The chicken tasted as if it'd been frozen, and old. It was very dry and chewy. The nan was very undercooked and almost soggy, with lukewarm rice. The only saving grace was veg samosa. The signs were there, only a couple of tables occupied on a Friday evening, very unusual. I'm afraid I won't be going again.

After a long day sightseeing the streets of London and lugging my suitcase onto the train to High Wycombe, I managed to get to my hotel room I n time to watch the live Friday night football on Sky on my laptop. Then the app failed so I dragged my sorry body across the road to Yates. Entering the pub, I stood inside the door scanning the empty pub for a tv. Rugby on one, lots of slots but the game (LeedsUnited) was on in a corner. I then pulled out my wallet and fidgeted with my cards to find my personal one, all good and they served Heineken, all good…. I walked up and asked for a pint. The manager waded across the barman, “I’m sorry sir, I think you’ve had enough to drink tonight “. Eh? “I’m stone cold sober, I’m fit to drive a car”. He said he had been observing me and that I was intoxicated. I genuinely thought he was joking but no, he bragged in front of the staff that he was the licensee and had made an irreversible decision. I asked if I could just watch the game, he refused and called his bouncer. Btw I am a 63 year old accountant unlikely to cause a fight in an empty pub. This clever manager exercising his business acumen was clearing a near empty pub at 8pm on a Friday. My parting words were “no wonder your pub is empty on a Friday night when an idiot is in charge”. I didn’t get his name but I’m sure it’s Dick…

We booked a table for 6 in the restaurant for a family lunch. The food advertised on the website looked great. The menu choice in reality was very different, very basic and one that we would not have booked a table for. I had sausage and mash. The sausages were the most basic you could imagine - have the owners not realised that there is one of the best butchers within 50 metres? The batter on the fish was soggy. The chips were average at best and to top it all, the service was poor. My 81 yr old parents gave feedback after the meal to the owner (I believe) as they believe you should give honest and kind feedback enabling improvement. The feedback was received, but no apology made and no adjustment to the bill (although Dad would have paid in full - it wasn’t about a discount). It was so disappointing as we’re local, have eaten here before and the pies were fantastic. This new business (under new management) will fail without drastic improvement - there are too many other choices and your reputation will spread very quickly. Also, perhaps learn to apologise when people are clearly trying to give you constructive feedback kindly. There are so many better places to eat which is such a shame as this used to be good. I had a quick look through other reviews after I wrote this - didn’t want to be influenced and read them before my review. I note that the owners don’t respond to reviews - is this simply because there are so many poor reviews? By not responding, it suggests that you don’t care and I’m sure that you do. You have some fabulous reviews, but outweighed by people really unhappy with their experience. I wish you the best and hope that you do something about this.
