We had the desi breakfast and it was fantastic. I usually go to slough little Lahore but I have found this joint for my desi breakfast fix. I was really impressed by the portions and will 100 percent come back for more. Nihari was soft and full of flavour, puri,channa daal, halwa and omelet were on point.

I had only ordered a takeaway. But it took about 45 minutes to arrive (was at 10pm on a weekday evening) so very quiet on the roads. Also, the tarkha Dahl was spicy! Appreciate the fact they give you options of the levels of spice, BUT Tarkha Dahl shouldn’t have that. It is a curry that isn’t spicy at all. So I pressed the mild option and was very disappointed as very spicy. Wouldn’t order again. Disappointed as last time I ordered from here, the food was actually quite nice! Seems to of all changed!

Very peaceful and lovely environment and food were ao delicious. Grill was not fully cooked but managed to eat. Only oint t make is dnt put tooo much Tomatoes in any curry or Karahi it become sweet and loose taste.

This was the first time I came to this place since it was taken over by new management and all I can say is Wow! I was genuinely shocked how good this place was for the price. Miles better than what I had under the previous owner. Can highly recommend the tawa. My party and I spoke to the owner and told her please do not change a thing, was fantastic!

There was only my family and one other in the entire restaurant and it was the slowest service ever. They gave us dessert before starters and mains and didnt really know how to run a restaurant. It has recently been brought by the current owners and I don't think they are experienced enough to know how to run a good service. Would never go back again and don't recommend it!!

My weekly friday night place with the family. True authentic flavours, reminds me off home. Customer service has always been on point friendly and respectable staff amazing atmosphere, one to bring the whole family to amazing large Tava with all the trimmings plus a curry for £45 and on time for Iftar!!! Amazing Keep it up Guys !!

Absolutely awful customer service with rude staff and management no need to waste your money or rest their half cooked curries better off going to Slough or Southall for some genuine great food and service for example Zahtoon in Slough High Street smashing anything this place could dream off.

I always order delivery from these guys and they are always polite to there customers. They always get our food delivered within 30 to 45 minutes. Food arrives piping hot always and me and my family always enjoy there food. Definitely recommended!!!

I ordered through deliveroo one chicken biriyani and one lamb biriyani and It came to me with mint sause spilled inside the bag due to poor packaging. I dont eat mint so I made a complain over the phone to the store and they promised me to send one of a chicken biriyani. It took more than one hour to reach me back. Service was not good.

Myself and 4 workmates thought we'd give the Desi Karahi a try as it's a short distance from the Holiday Inn High Wycombe. Well after moving tables twice for extra room or because the table was a wobbly. We ordered 5 portions of poppadoms, 3 chicken wing starters, 2 onion bhaji starters, 2 lamb jallfrezi, 3 chicken tikka masalla, 5 pilau rice, 3 garlic nan, 1 peshwari nan & 1 keema nan. The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and hot (temperature) with just the right amount of spice in all. They are not big on food colourings from what I saw. That is a major plus as I'm not a fan of them. We will definitely eat here again when next in the area.

Poor, we found the food to be greasy and the dishes wear over cooked the nan breads wear greasy we had to wiping our hands to remove it , the staff we had to ask 2 or 3 times for water and when they did the glass's came 5 or 10 mins later very odd and wear not even very busy , we will not be going again, thank god it was a relatively cheap place to eat that may account for the quality of the food and the staffing

Their service earns a solid 5 stars; the lady attending to us was incredibly helpful. As for the atmosphere, it’s clean and enjoyable, warranting a 4-star rating. The food was great best tavah I have had in a long time. Service was outstanding and staff were well mannered.

Ordered food and it arrived after one hour 20 minutes. Called the restaurant several times and all the time excuses. Not apologetic even and then food arrived was cold. .

Found this place whilst visiting for work. Just the most delicious, freshly prepared, bursting with flavour food. Friendly people and service too, so warm and welcoming, especially lovely as I dined alone the first night. I even took colleagues and ate there a second night the food was so good. And they loved it! Definitely recommend.

Had a great meal at Desi Karahi the other weekend. Chef's special Murgh Korai was delicious! Also enjoyed starters, especially samosas. Everything tastes really fresh and like homemade. Best Pakistani restaurant in HW hands down! Greeted warmly by the hostess, lots of soft drink/juice and lassi options - loved it! Definitely going back!

New name and new experience despite my old review popping up here. Visited with my daughter and we had a very pleasant meal. Good flavour and the choice to have dishes hot or mild. Sauces good but not to my preference. A bit too much ghee for me. Could have done with the lights turning down a bit but helped to see that it was clean. Nice white tablecloths and coloured seat covers.

First takeaway with new owners got order wrong even though repeated it, had to wait for proper order rest of food had to reheat, didn't even eat half of it spent £45 don't think I'll be ordering from there again, been eating from previous owners for years it's a shame, I read on other reviews that onion bhagi seemed old, and I can agree didn't taste fresh it was hard and dry, anyway did not enjoy it.

If only I could rate them with more stars, by far the best Pakistani restaurant I’ve dined at. So glad I’ve found this gem, food’s halal, run by an excellent team.

Use regularly for take away and have dined in. Good cooking and quality ingredients. Excellent and attentive service You can customise the level of heat per dish. Biryani excellent as are Lamb chops Shashlik. Not licenced which is a positive attraction.

We were travelling and had to stop by the gas station opposite to this restaurant as my son needed to use the restroom. Unfortunately the gas station didnt have one, we treid Jimmy's but they didnt let us use their restroom. Went to desi karahi and they were happy to accommodate even though we are not their customer. We went to desi karahi today I must say the restaurant was extremely clean & very well designed. The staff were super friendly & very helpful.The food was very delicious very well cooked I would highly recommend the charsi karahi absolutely loved it the lamb chops were slightly overcooked but overall a very good experience and a enjoyable evening will definitely go back again!!!

Really good restaurant. New management in place, food quality is actually better than it was under old owners. Had a delicious lamb curry and tje keema naan was loaded with meat. Great value for the quality. Will definitely be back! A+++

The food was indeed awesome and the staff and service wonderful. It was my first time at Desi Karahi. I did go to the Elaichi at the same site many many times over 30 years. On discovering that the restaurant did not have a license I enquired if we could buy two beers at the off licence next door and bring them in, just like many other restaurants, and the polite answer was no. My brother and I were meeting for the first time in ages and this was a bit disappointing. It is a wonderful place for teetotal families and I wish you all the best. The restaurant was empty by 9.00 on a Saturday. We were the last customers to leave. I will not come again unless I can have just one Cobra with my delicious Vegetable Jalfreizi . Will this be possible one day? Thanke

Ordered a chicken curry - full of bones and hardly any meat on the chicken. Most likely given off cuts of meat. Half a kg curry cost £16...should have been advertised as bone in sauce curry.

We stopped here on way to legoland. I have to say i eat out at Indian/Pakistani restaurants a lot and this restaurant is definitely one of the best! I ordered large desi tawa and the food was fresh and tasty with generous portions. Highly recommend and will come back. Professional staff, clean restaurant & clean washrooms.

The BEST Desi eating place. Long-awaited place in High Wycombe. Proper family eating place. All food cooked fresh. You can also CUSTOMISE the dishes in the order. Peaceful, green area with plenty of free parking. Waitresses and the manager are thoroughly professional and extremely hospitable. Will visit again very soon.

Well first time back for a takeaway since elarchi and will be the last time , onion bahji was 2/3 days old and was like a cricket ball, the nan bread was definitely not fresh curry wasnt much better, was gonna come back for a sit down meal but £1.50 for a poppadom daylight robbery. So will definitely not be back

Fantastic food especially paye and charsi karahi

The service was very good, lovely relaxing music in the background and the food was very good. The father-in-law and I shared a Desi Chicken Charsi Karahi, a garlic chilli naan, four roti's and some water. Very tasty and would go again.

The curry was just as good as Elachai, unfortunately no discount for takeaways but they've not long been open long so not fully organised apparently they've had a number of teething problems but appear keen to please customers. Can't believe the Elachai is gone I've eaten here since it opened still good luck to the new owners!

The regular tawah is a delicious dish and was enough food for a small family of four- the flavors are bold and spicy, with tender chicken pieces cooked to perfection. The service at Desi Karahi is also excellent - the staff are friendly, attentive, and always ready to make recommendations or answer any questions. The restaurant itself is clean, cozy, and welcoming, with a great atmosphere. We usually go out of town to eat Pakistani food. It feels great to have a nice Pakistani restaurant at our doorstep, home within minutes! Overall, I highly recommend Desi Karahi to anyone looking for authentic Pakistani cuisine. Decided to try this local place and we were pleasantly surprised. We got the mix tava grill and it was delicious. Super soft meat and the curry was also lovely.

Food was tasteless, watery and inedible. Staff had no restaurant skills, bought out the main course whilst eating starters. Plates were freezing cold so as soon as you put the food on the plate, the food went cold. When we asked about the plates, was told the plate warmer was broken, he started laughing, which made me even more annoyed. Left the meal as cold and inedible, will not return again.

Terrible food. Sauce and rice full of water and just tasted like a microwave meal. Completely inedible.

Outstanding. I first started using Elaichi 20 years ago, not been disappointed yet.

Group of 25+ was a busy time for the staff. They worked hard, service was good for such a large group, but challenge to get everyones main and side dish out quickly. Food was hot. Turned out a great curry night for us. Most of us went home fairly happy.

Great food at a great price. Some good advice from our waiter on a new dish to try as well - shashlik bhuna - which was excellent. Will definitely visit again.

Moved to the area about 5 years ago and have been going to the restaurant almost every week since. Friendly staff ....fresh poppadoms and chutneys . ....good selection of beers and wines.....food is authentic and tasty with good portion sizes...... if it's not on the menu just ask they will make it up for you. My only slight criticism is when it's very very busy it can sometimes take a while to get your bill.....but that's to be expected with a full restaurant. The decor is tasteful and relaxing definitely not your typical Indian decor. Would not go anywhere else. Paul and Ellen

Well presented food and great friendly service. I had the lamb shank which I felt was very salty. Mixed starter was slightly bland but we had a very good night there and will go back.

When I went to the restaurant I had just come back from a christening I had had a few beer’s I ordered a takeaway it was £7 I gave a twenty pound note the server tried to give me £3 change I kept my hand open then he said sorry sir and gave me the other £10 after a delay he thought I was too drunk to know how much I had given him Be careful with your money

Once again, absolutely fantastic meal. Everything you eat tastes so fresh and made in-house. Makes sych a difference. Service excellent too very attentive but not over the top. Can't wait to go back.
