Green Delight in Wycombe

I've been searching for a bakery that could truly rival the pastries I had in Italy, and I finally found it in Green Delight. Their croissants are flaky and buttery, their cannoli are creamy and perfectly sweet, and their tiramisu is the best I've ever tasted. The staff are incredibly friendly and passionate about their craft, and the bakery itself has a charming, old-world atmosphere. If you're a fan of Italian pastries, this is a must-visit.

I came here with a friend and my baby, it’s a lovely place for a coffee and lunch. We had asparagus soup which was really nice. Do be aware the hot food menu does finish at 1400 but they have sandwiches and croissants etc available after. Really quaint setting and friendly staff. They also allow dogs :)

Food was great, friendly staff, dog friendly (we didn’t have our dog with us but there was a sign on the door). Will definitely come back if we pass the area again, highly recommended.

Pastries are old and damp. Coffee is terrible, really bitter. I get a better espresso in Costa, and I hate Costa. I’ll never set foot in this place again.

Really nice croissant with avo, fried egg, and ham for breakfast. [Edit Yesterday had a great sandwich... but they had a club sandwich with bacon, so they were happy to swap the bacon for avo for free. Just ask and they will make whatever you want. They even have really nice takeaway salads. My favourite place.]

I ordered the tuna sandwich. It cost £7.50 and was just 2 sliced of mismatched bread with filling plonked on a plate. No salad or any dressing. Total rip off.

I took my daughter in to have a breakfast. We both had a full breakfast- mine being the vegetarian option. Both were disappointing! My daughter didn’t want the mushrooms or black pudding - wasn’t offered anything else to replace them. Bacon was very very uncooked. Mine - halloumi was the best part. Spinach was salty, and the avocado and tomatoes were very strange! I ordered a coffee with oat milk, which tasted like dirty dish water- think they need to clean their Coffee grinder out! The cost didn’t match the amount or quality of food at all. Very disappointing

Had the Vegetarian breakfast. Dried up scrambled eggs, awful. Spinach lovely, so was the halloumi. Mushrooms soaked in oil, yuk. Hoped they had ciabatta with mozzarella type fillings. The restaurant they have is wonderful but this was so disappointing

First time here. Had eggs florentine which was very nice, and an oat milk latte, which tasted like it was out of a catering coffee machine, certainly not up to barista standard. Would go again, I was expecting the coffee to be top notch, however, I am keen to give their barista another chance!

I highly recommend Green Delight, friendly staff serving and excellent Full.English Breakfast and a vast selection of delicious delicacies, also they’re Baking a typical Italian bread including the ciabatta.

If you're looking for delicious food, excellent service, and a charming atmosphere, then look no further! I highly recommend it to anyone in the Wooburn Green area.

The welcome was very friendly and we were quickly shown to an available table in the side area off the entrance and bakery counter area. First impressions were extremely favourable but it wasn't long before the small plastic chairs became pretty uncomfortable. The area is drafty and at this time of year a little cold. The radiators weren't on but blankets are draped over the seats if needed. The breakfast menu is really good and the food is very well presented and delicious. Because of the price I would have liked to have some provenance on the menu. Shame the plates were cold but eat it quickly and no problem. The tea and coffee is piping hot and extremely good. The rear outside space and Gin Bar look wonderful and I'm sure will be a great place to enjoy a drink with friends when weather permits. As well as the cafe, this place is a quality bakery offering a range of breads and cakes. This is a fabulous local asset; service friendly, food is really good, hot drinks are great and there's a wine tasting event coming up Mar '24. What's not to like!? They will add 10% to your bill which is paid at ordering irrespective of service or quality. They won't tell you about this and they won't refund it when your drinks need chasing after the food has been served. After one Sunday morning visit I will recommend and it's likely I'll return. Go there, support local.

A lovely cafe in the heart of a Wooburn Green. Great Italian pastries and coffee as well as food. It’s small and can get very busy, during which times service can be a bit sluggish, but always friendly. Maybe a bit on the expensive side.

My Mum and I visited this little gem of a place today and had cooked breakfasts and cappuccinos in this lovely bakery, cafe which also has a lovely outdoor space and gin bar and I would 100% recommend it to anyone for the quality of food, the surroundings and the friendly, welcoming staff. It was so nice in there and my Mum who grew in Wooburn can remember it being a bakery when she was a child in the 30’s!

I am someone who is of a cheerful disposition , but whilst having my vehicle serviced nearby , on entrance to this cafe I was greeted ( well not greeted at all really ) by a really unhappy and seemingly rude person behind the counter ! I was told to find a seat ( No please or thankyou ) which I did and a table away appeared what I guess may have been her boss ( or owner of the establishment )! I eventually asked him what the protocol was as I seemed to have been abandoned, he told me that the lady will come and take my order ( he seemed concerned by her attitude too I think ) ! He went around the corner to let her know I’d been waiting at one stage and she miraculously appeared, her face like thunder and then she abruptly barked at me to tell her what I wanted with what appeared to be a belittling stare ! I could not fathom why she didn’t like me, ( did I resemble an ex partner or something ? ) I am a cheerful person, always treat others how I wish to be treated ! Anyway , at this point I had lost trust in eating there, maybe she might spit in my food or throw it on the floor and put it back on the plate ( I thought ) , so to avoid further issue I basically said “ I’m sorry, I don’t feel very welcome here and you don’t appear to like your job very much , maybe you should consider a different kind of job “ I think that’s basically what I said ! The thing is I feel desperately sad for the owner if he’s losing business because of her! I rarely write reviews and if I do it’s normally because I’ve been overwhelmed by how amazing somewhere is! I know it isn’t easy to get good staff these days and infact it can be really challenging working with the public, I know only too well , as I had plenty of experience when much younger, but unless it’s themed as Karen’s Diner then I think you need to replace her I’m sorry to say or maybe don’t have her front of house as she’ll ruin everyone’s day 😭! or at best send her home if she has some personal problems ( We are all only human after all ) ! The menu looked amazing , sadly I lost total trust though , it might not have arrived unscathed! The pricing was fair and lots of choice and the cakes in the cabinet looked amazing, but I sincerely. hope that no one else has such an awful experience ! Si Xx

The best staff, great food, phenomenal coffee - whether it's breakfast, brunch, lunch or cocktails on a summer's evening... I couldn't recommend more!

Great coffee and friendly service. I don't eat the cookies but they sure look delicious! Ambience is nice and you can sit in an adapted whisky barrel in the rear garden! Good place!

A lovely local cafe bakery, the atmosphere is just fab, there's seating indoors, out the back in the courtyard and out the front, the staff are so lovely. I occasionally visit on a weekend morning. It's dog friendly for well mannered doggos, I personally bring my lab here and he loves it too, tries to nudge the door open even when the cafe is closed. The iced latte is lush, as are the chunky cookies. The breakfasts are very tasty. It is a little on the pricey side but that said I would still recommend coming here. If I had nothing better to do then I would be quite happy to spend a few hours here.

My girlfriend and I came here for breakfast after staying at a local Airbnb. The reviews were good so we thought we’d check it out and we were not disappointed. Food was above expectations and service was excellent. Would definitely come back here if we are ever in the local area!

Excellent Breakfast, Real Bacon.

Supper fresh cooked full breakfast . Real streaky bacon,great sausage, can't praise higher. Loverly fresh coffee, good WiFi also, and cake to take away.

The pancakes and berries looked soooo amazing and was unbelievably tasty! Eggs benedict was exquisitely fabulous! Great tea too, as well as very friendly owners!

A lovely little calf with a spot on cup of coffee (takeaway). Didn't have time for to sample the food but it did look good. next time I visit will be spending a little bit more time here

The food and coffee are without doubt of a very good standard with a variety of dishes to suit all. However…. The lady manager is not friendly, not welcoming, generally not pleasant such a shame as the male manager is a total joy! Definitely puts me off returning during the week. The service charge added when there is only 2 of you and the service hasn’t been good also rankles as has been said previously. Staff are key to success.

Don't go anywhere near it in the winter there's no heating and then they have the cheek to add a 10% service charge on the bill food was ok but overpriced for what it was

Delightful breakfast with my wife, she had the eggs Benedict I had the eggs Royale, perhaps my wife’s eggs were a tad underdone but mine were great, salmon was particularly delicious. Services was a little slow but the food was fresh and well cooked, will certainly return.

A lovely place to eat with plenty of seating inside. Lots of choice and the traditional breakfast was especially good. Eggs were cooked to perfection. Prices are good and if I wasn't so full up from the breakfast we would of gone home with a couple of cakes. Complimentary throws are draped over the seats in the barn, but we didn't find it cold.

Mulled wine mince pie and a gingerbread man. Well it is nearly Christmas and the lights on the Green about to be lit. Lovely friendly place.

Almost afraid to review this one as I don't want it to get popular and rammed! Currently a bit of a hidden gem, really fresh, delicious, and v decently priced brunch meals and amazing fresh pastries and delicacies. Quiet, local, lovable stuff.

We visited this lovely place for the first time with our hungry kids. The staff were very attentive and even though the place was full, the waiting time for our food was reasonable. The food was delicious so we will definitely come back. Thank you 😊

Been many times never disappoints. The loveliest friendly staff, great coffee and always delicious food.the garden is a gem of a place!

Visited this cafe for the first time and won’t be returning. Make a service charge of 10% that is hidden in 2mm text on the bottom of the menu. When challenged the owner got upset that I thought this was absolutely wrong but was refunded. A sandwich doubles in price when you eat in and it includes salad and crisps to £10 which you may agree Is steep and wasn’t explained at the till. Once again I was directed to a menu I hadn’t seen. Cage deliveries (x5) were wheeled through the outside area at lunchtime which meant customers had to move aside in their seats. It’s a nice place and the food was good but you can’t treat customers this way and have a viable business. Shame….

Unexpected jewel of a place to have a leisurely breakfast or brunch. I've been 3 times in the last 6 weeks or so. Excellent service, delicious food and an outside space that makes yiu feel like you're on holiday. Would highly recommend.

Very friendly. My first 'al fresco' dining this year in the Spring sunshine in their delightful outside space. There way beyond 'last orders' on Easter Saturday afternoon, but never made to feel like we'd outstayed our welcome - on the contrary, nice chat with team members from Italy, Poland, the UK etc.

Just go for the CAKES. They are lovely, fresh and made within fifteen meters from your table. There is a wide selection from light profiterole pastry in different combinations and shapes to strong chocolate and sumptuous cakes. The savoury dishes are tasty as well. If you like good strong coffee, opt for the tea. At the end, take the cakes home or with your picnic. The service is good..

It is a lovely setting with Really good food. My partner had the eggs Benedict where the sauce was just enough. ( He usually complains about how much sauce they put on at places). He said it was yummy and wished he could have got a second portion. I had the salmon bagel with cream cheese/ Avocados and vegetable crisps. The helping was just the right size for me and the bagel was packed with salmon. The only thing was cutting it was a hard task as the contents kept falling out and I possibly had a dull knife. The service was alright. The staff were polite and attentive. Clearing the tables and seeing to the customers and they did make you feel welcoming however, our server did seem a little down but it could be that she was having a bad day. The place as well is bigger than I originally thought with two sections to it and it also serves as a bakery where they make home made cakes and bread which you can buy. Its also dog friendly and it has a garden (which seemed quite large) and toilets that you have to get through via the garden area. It's a modern place ,but has an old feel to it. With beautiful fireplaces, old pictures of Wooburn Green. The tree of life. And old coat racks. I do recommend coming here.

Setting is great. Staff are fabulous food is fabulous. Perfect ! Plenty of choice on menu and great atmosphere. Friendly , clean and inviting .

Absolutely love this place! If you’re looking for the closest thing to Italy in Buckinghamshire - it’s here.. Everyone who works here are so lovely and welcoming and really work hard to make sure you get great service, freshly baked food and fantastic coffee. A lovely hardworking family who put their heart and soul into Green Delight as well as their amazing Italian restaurant a few doors down… We can highly recommend the cakes 💕🇮🇹

Very good food Chairs not all that comfy. But we did sit a long while. Toilets very clean and modern. Would recommend.

This is such a cute bakery with plenty of seating both indoors and outside. The food is lovely. It's family owned and there's a really nice atmosphere. It would be great if there were a few more allergy options, we visited at half three and there was just vegan pizza left.

Been here a couple of times. We found the food and coffee good and the service very friendly. On paying the bill, though, it seemed a few pound more than the cost of what was ordered. It seems they load a service charge on at the till at the point of paying but do not mention this. It would be better if they were open about this.

We came here and had a smoothie and a latte, and eggs benedict and eggs royale which were both perfectly cooked and very tasty. Friendly service, lovely interior, and great to have somewhere you can get breakfast locally. Definitely recommend and be back soon!

Green Delight is a lovely cafe that offers a very tasty English Breakfast. I was met with a warm smile and polite service. The food was excellent . Highly recommended.

This is a fabulous place for just a coffee when meeting a friend or colleague, or for breakfast / lunch....and the cakes...totally out of this world, a delicious treat. Great thing - they are open at weekends too! The bread products are also a treat - a little expensice but worth it. So happy to have this little delight in the village.

Such a delightful little hideaway. Tables & chairs inside and in a courtyard for alfresco breakfast, lunch, coffee, brunch etc. Service was excellent, food was delicious but would have liked it hotter which we mentioned for when we go next time. It is just slightly dearer than other places but I didn't mind because it was so lovely and relaxing there. Definitely worth a visit.

There is absolutely nothing pretentious about this venue. It's simple and quite beautiful. The food is completely outstanding and we have eaten there several times. The whole place has been thoughtfully renovated and is a calm and pretty little haven to go and sip a...
