Hughenden Village Store and Coffee Shop in Wycombe

It’s a bit hit and miss. Nice shop and cafe environment but the young staff have a lot to learn about service. Seemed to be standing around not working with any purpose or speed, sucking on a bottle of pop NOT making my latte which was delivered luke warm and handed to me after waiting 5 minutes with no apology for the delay. It’s Saturday, staffed by kids and they need an adult who knows what they are doing to kick them into shape.

Lovely local shop - so many gorgeous foods to buy - plus gifts for friends. I would defo recommend you look round the shop next time u’re in Hughenden.

The food from this ☕️ shop..is amazing. Try the chicken soup and lasagna. They're divine. Will recomand and come back for sure. The staff is nice and the environment is so friendly. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Stopped off at this lovely village cafe for a bacon sandwich and a coffee. Didn't think we could go wrong but we did. Looked nice when we went in but when our food was bought over and we took the first bite the rolls were cold and heavy. I opened the roll to only see one tiny rasher of streaky bacon which looked as if it had been cut into 3. And was very tough. I think easyjets bacon rolls were of higher standard than that. And just to make it even worse the coffee was more like Luke warm milk. What a rip off. There's no need for cafes to sell such poor food these days. Left still hungry and £15 out of pocket!! Not happy!!

Such a disappointment. We're cyclists and used to enjoy quite frequent visits here. But we won't be rushing back after our experience last week - palest, most tasteless cappuccinos ever and uninteresting pre-packaged, mass-produced cakes.

They have everything you need, at a reasonable price. Very nice coffee, excellent service.

This little store & cafe is quaint, well stocked with necessities and local produce. Friendly staff. The nicest coffee from the cafes in the area. Seating area small but it is a village store after all. would recommend.

A friend was visiting so we took the dogs for a walk and the went to the cafe for coffee and egg and bacon on toast. Delicious. Lovely place to visit and friendly efficient service.

Amazingly friendly staff, including the young volunteers. Super cute venue which is very well kept. And they have the best hot chocolate I have ever had.

Such a lovely little cafe. Fantastic local produce, homemade cakes, nice selection of cold soft drinks, hot coffees and very friendly staff! I went for the simple sausage roll and a Cappuccino, I kid you not it was the best sausage roll I've ever eaten! And the Cappuccino smooth and just the right temperature It's a very quiet andrelaxed area, even when the little kids are in the local playground outside. Definitely worth a visit for coffee and a snack

Partner and I literally just left and I have to say the service and quality of food was exceptional. Partner had Americano with sausage&bacon bap and I had white americano with smashed avocado on whole grain toast with a poached egg. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his breakfast and I personally cannot fault mine. Avocado was beautifully seasoned, poached egg was perfectly cooked, and toast had beautiful flavours toasted to my preference. You could tell everything was locally sourced and it was divine. Lovely ladies served us and food and drinks came out very quickly. Will be coming for brunch more often here. Really started the day to perfection. Thank you, ladies.

Good selection of outdoor tables and friendly staff. The food was served quickly and the menu has good veggie options too. Tea and coffee was nice too. Recommended!

The way in which the village store adapted to support our community during lockdown has been fantastic. We were always able to get basic supplies, such as flour and eggs and the staff were incredibly helpful at all times.

Website does not reflect opening times/days. Signs all over the place saying open - not so on a Sunday.

Great village store and coffee shop. Great asset to the local community run by volunteers. Their efforts through lockdown were admirable and their drive to provide more outside seating to safety accommodate people for coffee and food is fantastic in these times were people are missing social interaction

This shop a d cafe, run by a mix of paid staff and volunteers, is a great meeting place. During Covid it has been heavily frequented by locals, but it is very safe. During lockdown it was a brilliant source of fresh food. Bacon and eggs are better than any supermarket. Then there is the fresh bread, milk, ham... Enough to say that it has done more for the community than any other organisation during Covid and is an asset that needs to be used so we don't lose it. Congratulations to all who make it work.

Discovery the village shop by accident as we are not local, and what a joy! Good coffee excellent bacon sandwich and warm welcome. Second visit today and just as good as the first.

Amazing place, serves great locally made cakes and do amazing milk shakes and fruit drinks. Lovely atmosphere, everyone is very kind and for children there are books and next door is a play park which you can see from the cafe. Well worth a visit, but come with plenty of time as the volunteers love to chat.

I had a lovely and very well priced afternoon tea at Hughenden Village Store. There was lots of food and the service was brilliant. I highly recommend them.

We visited for a snack and a coffee - staff were friendly and helpful, relaxed atmosphere and really good value for money. Will definitely be back.

Superb little shop with great local choices

Super accessible coffee shop with disablepd loo. Fab friendly feeling, great local food, and supported by loads of volunteers. A fantastic hub for the village with a kiddies playground outside. I started out as a regular, but soon became a volunteer. Not a biased opinion, just honest. Love it.

We always love coming here - it's a really cosy little shop and cafe with an excellent range of local produce and most essentials you'd expect to find in a village shop. It's entirely run by volunteers who I've always found to be cheery and helpful. There's also small play park next to the cafe which is great for small children, as well as football pitches, footpaths for rambling / dog walking and not to forget the excellent village hall which is a great venue for hosting parties.

Lovely spot, lovely people and lovely food. What's not to like? Go and find out for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

We regularly visit this community cafe. What an absolute gem of a place. The ladies running the cafe are very helpful and make a good coffee.

Outside doesn’t look like much but inside is a nice village shop and coffee shop. Prices are a bit high and it is staffed mainly with volunteers so service a bit hit and miss but very good overall.

I just love going to this friendly place for coffee and a catch up with friends, the coffee shop is like a beautiful summer house and very nicely decorated, the coffee is of excellent quality and the shop itself is like a good quality farm shop, you have to try their bread, yes, you pay a bit more but it's well worth it, plenty of parking, also a nice outdoor seating area and play equipment for the kiddies.

HV village store and coffee shop is a little gem in a lovely Buckinghamshire village setting. There is plenty parking and it is next to a small playground and green open space for young children. The coffee shop is child friendly with toys, high chair and changing facilities. Very relaxed atmosphere with fresh cakes and coffee, plus juices and treats for the youngsters.
