Traditional pub. Good beer, friendly staff.

Unprofessional staff, overpriced drinks. Id recommend the Bricklayers Arms in Downley instead.

Went for Sunday lunch and took my elderly mother. We were served almost as soon as we sat down with a drink by a lovely lady, which really made us feel welcome. Mum was offered the small adults roast, which was great as she doesn't usually finish a normal roast. The 3 of us all had chicken roast, and it was delicious. A roast and desert was £18 which is very reasonable and value for money. We all thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and desserts. Definitely recommend.

Delicious, hot, homemade food. Helpful, friendly staff making sure we had everything we needed. Dog friendly, too. Selection of speciality pies. Recommend Chicken, Ham, and Stilton.

A great place for a Sunday roast

Still one of my favourite local pubs. Great for drinkers and diners alike.

Ribs are amazing. Fab Fish & Chips too. Not been for a roast yet but heard its lovely. Need to book.

Had the roast pork yesterday which was awful, meat tough and dry, veg cut and tasted like it had been re heated from another sitting!! Gravy thin and watery with no taste. One of our party had roast chicken (two chicken breasts is not a roast dinner) and it was cold. Suppose we should have complained at the time !! We had previously eaten roast dinner here before which were nice so it’ was so disappointing to have had such a poor meal. The 3 other meals in our party ( not roasts) were enjoyed them.

We didn't have food but our friends, we met up with, had had food and said it was really lovely, sat in the garden soaking up the sun, nice beer and pimms, good kiddy garden too 🥰 very lovely afternoon 😎🥰

Very easy to get to. Food and service were excellent with a really good menu. Parking is good with plenty of space

The Harrow is one of my favourite music venues. The food is excellent and very good value. Good choice of two real ales. Timothy Taylor's Landlord and Rebellion IPA today.

Went for Sunday lunch. Great food, very friendly and even the dog was looked after. Next time we hear visiting my niece we will be back.

Went for lunch with a friend and my 19m daughter. Was really happy with the food and food portion sizes. Was ready to give a tip and positive feedback until I was handed a cloth to wipe my daughter’s highchair!! Im not the type to leave my child’s mess everywhere, she dropped all her crisps on the floor and i picked up all of them off the floor. While eating she dropped some on the floor which i also picked up. The waitress lady asked if she was done and collected all the food off the tray which i said thanks to her several times. ( I put food straight on the tray so it will cool and so the whole plate does not end up on the floor! ) Two minutes later a lady who we had not seen at all put a cloth on the highchair and said “here you go” then walked away! It just needed a wipe just like our table would have! Everything should be wiped after customers have been there! Regardless of nice food and portion sizes, because of how rude she was that overtook my experience and I will not be recommending or coming back. Shame as the other two ladies seemed lovely.

Went as a party of 6 on the spur of the moment, allowed our 2 small dogs also. From start to finish the 3 courses that we all had were exceptional. The staff including the owner could not have done more. The whole experience was first class

We were in the area and were looking for somewhere to eat, we hadn’t booked but were made to feel welcome and advised that food could take a little while. No such issues however we were all very happy with our meals and service provided

We stopped here for lunch, and we had our dog with us. The pub is billed as a dog friendly pub. We just didn't realise how friendly it is. They were super friendly to our dog, even had dog biscuits to hand (which our dog loved!) This made it much more enjoyable to be there. Knowingly, we didn't have to rush. The staff were amazing, and the food was even better. Tasty, fresh and hot. i would absolutely recommend this pub for the food and friendly staff.

Nice place with a number of Vegan options at a fair price. The Harrow has a really nice atmosphere with an extensive menu. They have a number of vegan options, and some vegetarian ones that can be made vegan. Particularly good options are the vegan Mac and Cheese, the Edemame and Sweet Potato Burger, and the Black Bean Burger. Some of the vegan items are frozen store-bought items, but they charge a fair price for these, unlike some establishments that charge hand-made burger prices for frozen ones. They are also happy to create something or work with you if you ask. Friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating. A good option for vegans and vegetarians looking for something relaxed. The only thing is they have no vegan pie, which is a shame, as they have a number of fresh meat pies.

Great place to go for a meal with outside benches and a Kids play area but better to book

Good food and excellent service. If you want to eat, it's better to make a reservation, we didn't have a reservation and the very friendly waitress managed to give us a table, thank you. next time we will call

Amazing find, the roast will not set the world ablaze but it is very good. Food and drinks are reasonably priced and well worth a visit.

Fantastic food! And portions were reasonable. Lovely little play park outside for the kids. Would definitely recommend a visit!

Good food at a good price , lovely garden and dog friendly

Poor service. Dogs all over the place sniffing around whilst you are trying to eat your food and its awkward approaching the owners to ask to keep them on the lead. Some members of staff are rude I feel If your not one of the locals your not very welcome it's a very very clicky pub . No toilet paper in the gents I had to ask for some and I got a dirty look very embarrassing the food was mediocre( not for me ) at them prices

Rude staff. No interest in serving food on a Sunday lunchtime. Fight to get a menu, advised wait would be an hour and they were trying to restrict orders. Complete waste of my time. Will not return.

Fabulous meals. I had a chicken burger....that was real chicken. The 2 men gad equally lovely with a beef burger and the other had the Haloumi. Divine. Great friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. Go for a beer and meal.

Nice location but 1hr wait for food then missed items, wrong order and stale cask ale is a shame. Deserves a better bar & kitchen team.

It was a nice country pub, we only went in bar and did not eat, out door seating for the summer also, my only criticism was the lady who served me was miserable with no please or thank you.

Friendly atmosphere and great food

Found the manager to be very curt and abrupt throughout our visit. Walked in to 'have you booked?' Would have been nicer to have had 'good afternoon, do you have a table booked?'. Waitress was lovely, food overall was delicious but sadly the manner of the manager on this, and another occasion means we won't be returning.

My daughters and i went for sunday lunch which was marred by 2 things. The first was the roast beef was totally inedible, not even able to cut it with a steak knife and secondly, the abslolute rude attitude of the manager. She was rude, shouting and belittling. This meal was the first time we could all go out In a longtime due to my husband being ill and today was to celebrate my upcoming birthday. I would never go back there. Rude woman

We went to this little gem today for Sunday lunch. Food was fantastic, my only comment food could a been a bit hotter service first class. Would highly recommend.

Attended a meal for 14 of us. Pre ordered meal, so not a long wait for food. Everyone enjoyed it as usual pub grub. Shame that their pubs were not available.

Looked after us perfectly for a table of eleven that included toddlers and adults. Food was fresh, homely and very tasty. A warm welcome on arrival and perfect attention throughout our meal.....would highly recommend!!

Cosy little pub, lovely log burner and they serve Moretti. Not been there much but the staff a friendly enough. Can't comment on the food sadly.

What a find. This place is amazing. Great staff friendly and welcoming. The food was great, in fact for a lunch portion it was massive. The ribs were great you won't be disappointed said the waitress she wasn't wrong. Recommend you try it, the price was not bad considering the location.

We visited this pub on a Saturday afternoon and I must say it was very good. We ate fish & chips and traditional homemade pie. The personnel were very helpful and kind. Exceptional service in my opinion.

We went here on New Years Day for Sunday lunch and it absolutely superb. Full roast dinner with all the trimmings plus others at a very reasonable price. The staff were excellent and I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending The Harrow.

Decent enough pub, with plenty of drinks to choose from (particularly alcohol-free). Staff were friendly and helpful. Worth a visit if you're in the area.

Even though this is fairly local to me, I hadn't visited for many years. It was a pleasant surprise to be given a warm welcome on our arrival by friendly staff. Drinks were served quickly and all of our party enjoyed our meals. I was very impressed with the Jack Daniels ribs, it was a huge portion and the meat literally fell off the bone. Prices were very reasonable as well; we will certainly be visiting again in the near future.

Every time we've had dinner and or lunch in this pub it's always been very very good. We live just a little way away in Great Kingshill and on Friday the 28th of October we took my brother out to dinner. The atmosphere was tailored to Halloween!!! The staff are extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable, the new lad (pot Boy - don't know his name) was very nice and extremely polite he is only 16. Very clued up and polite. Can't wait to go again. Vegetarian for me and lots of choices. John & Linda.

From the moment we arrived we was greeted quite stroppily.had ordered steak medium to rare what actually landed was very diffrent.not what i asked for.the chips were like cardboard the steak was like rubber and my partners meal was served she finished then my meal was served.also through out forcing the what seemed like a microwave meal i also had the company of the pub dog who i dont think has ever been fed.a lovley dog though

Excellent food and good service

Unwelcoming vibe. Lots of unnecessary rules and everyone stares at you as you walk in. Range of drink is limited and dogs have to be kept on a lead even if they are sat calmly right next you (despite the huge 'dog friendly sign'). I'd honestly recommend heading a mile down the road to The Gate instead as they were much more relaxed and welcoming and the drinks are significantly cheaper I'd also like to add to this that I received a response to this review that pretty much sums up what I have mentioned above. My review is honest to my experience and I am very disappointed in the tone and the response I received (certain bits in capital letters).

Just walked here for some nice pub food. Now completely disappointed as they have ‘two large tables’ so are no longer serving food to anyone else. Thankfully we were offered crisps…… Laughable, checked the website before coming, no notices on there and within food serving time.

Very good traditional pub. Big garden, children's playground, extensive menu for adults and children. Food good quality, served quickly so everything was hot and fresh.

Me and my friend came with our children on a Saturday afternoon looking forward to a nice catch up. I ordered some ice cream for our children, 4 chocolate ice creams one strawberry and one vanilla. When they arrived they forgot the one strawberry ice cream and brought 5 chocolate ice creams instead, no big deal I just asked for the strawberry one as my daughter was desperate for her ice cream. After this a rude lady came out and spoke to me so horribly, I am still in shock. She said “right I’m not being funny but you didn’t order a strawberry ice cream and that’s your fault”. I couldn’t believe how she was talking to me. I asked her why she was talking to me in such a rude tone she then kept saying “I’m not being funny but it’s your fault you never said strawberry” me and my friend were mortified, the staff member was making such a scene about some ice cream and blaming me for her mistake. I’m really disgusted with how I was spoken to, and would not recommend this pub. It’s a shame as the outdoor area is so nice but this particular staff member made me feel so uncomfortable and humiliated, not what you want when out with friends for lunch.

The homecooked food is amazing - and for a reasonable price. Plenty of room inside and in the garden. Thank you to all staff at The Harrow for a lovely meal.

The range of foods were good, and the jacket potato with tuna mayo plus salad was too much for me to eat. They have an outside area for kids, and enough parking. The location means it is quite quiet too to chat.

Great service, hosts were very attentive. Generous food portions, I would definitely recommend. A return visit is on the cards

Really nice dog friendly country pub with excellent home cooked food

Lovely garden, great menu especially for GF options. The only reason they didn't get a 5 star from me was the ribs I had where over cooked and the meat was dry.
